Welcome to my home borough! I featured the following AWESOME places in this guide: 1. Queens Botanical Gardens 2. Lhasa Fast Food 3. Lockwood Shops 4. Museum of Moving Image 5. Brooklyn Grange (yes, it is in Queens)! 6. Gantry State Park 7. Murray's Cheese Bar & Caves 8. Rockaway Brewing
Mexican american born and raised in Corona, Queens. I don’t want to be biased. But Queens is the best borough out of the 5 in NYC! Tourist make the grand mistake to spend their trip at times square. When they can just take a 15 min train ride to Queens and experience so much more! Sarah love your content and charisma!
Love Queens! It's where I stay whenever I travel to NYC. I've been to the Museum of Modern Image (great Muppets exhibit and fun hands-on stuff) and Lhasa Fast Food (OMG good...it catches up to you though!) Will have to try the others next time...and there will be a next time! Oh, there's an amazing Greek Grocery store in Astoria...it's amazing!
Straight of the bat I could tell you are getting better at your videos Sarah. This video feels more polished over and more well done. I can tell also that you're more comfortable in front of the camera. Well done!! Keep up the good work :)
I went to Spicy Tibet restaurant in Jackson Heights which should be across the street from the the Roosevelt train station. I went to the Museum of moving image on a school trip when I was in high school.
Flushing, where the Mets play, Astoria where my grandma used to live before she died Southside Jamaica where my boy 50 Cent is from, Queensbridge Projects where my favorite rappers Mobb Deep and Big Noyd are from
Josh Raheim Don’t care about your opinion but how are you not gonna mention Nas when mentioning Queensbridge. I like “if I ruled the world “ imagine that
Well-hidden Tibetan food looks quite tasty and incredible! Spices can be very deceiving until they kick in moments later! Those are great Manhattan views from Gantry State Park. I haven't been to New York City yet, but I definitely want to try to visit it soon including Queens! Great video!
Thank you Sarah for this video on Queens. The last time we were in NYC with my family was in summer 2019. We stayed in Long Island City and we absolutely loved it. Our hotel - Home2Suites LIC - was very near the Dutch Kills subway and that was very convenient to go to Manhattan, Lexington av station was just two stops away. If one day we ended up moving to NYC then LIC is where we would want to live, we love the atmosphere and we could make this our home. Now you make me want to come back because I have to discover Murray's cheese bar and cave, my mother used to make cheeses in France and she won national contests several times in the category of Goat cheeses, so I would love to check what Murray's has got to offer with goat. Lhasa Fast Food is a place you want to make me try. And lastly we were able to go to the Museum of Moving Image in summer 2019 and we loved it.
GREAT VIDEO 👏👏👏 I also live in Queens , it is an interesting borough and a lot of new developments are happening all over . A great borough to live and visit.
Not the only cemetery-Calvary Cemetery is a Roman Catholic cemetery in Maspeth and Woodside, Queens, in New York City, New York, United States. With about three million burials, it has the largest number of interments of any cemetery in the United States
Queens Baby!!!! I am thankful for growing up in such a diverse Boro. It is the melting pot of NYC. I grew up with so many ethnicities and cultures. Big up to Woodside, Sunnyside, Astoria, Ridgewood, Briarwood, and Corona (which showed me the worst in Queens)..but all filled with diversity.
@@michaelhurley3171 No question about it watching the show Killer Coworkers matured me into knowing that people get murdered at the workplace sadly. I liked Anthony Bourdain
I grew up in Long Island City, and seeing the old Pepsi sign made me tear up because that was where the Pepsi Factory used to be at. I miss my old Neighborhood now.
I left NY more than 20 years ago I grew up in Queens I go back every year to visit friends and family. It’s very different now population i would guess is more then triple. I didn’t recognize my neighborhood. I grew up in. It had beautiful cobblestone streets with nice house. Now all gone the house replaced with apartment buildings. It’s now very urban and overcrowded .
As it turns out, I went to Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, which is right across from the Museum of Moving Image. And seeing as how it's right next to Kaufman Astoria Studios, there is a lot of performing arts and film action going on over there. I went to the museum a lot and I thoroughly enjoyed it and I am glad you featured this in your video Sarah.

RIN DMC, LL Cool J, Jon Favreau, Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel, Beastie Boys, Steinway Pianos, many of the greats are all Queens!
@Andy From NYC Jamaica Avenue is not considered a destination point; it is a transfer point.

@Anthony Frank if you got a problem with that then you really shouldn’t be in NYC. Let alone queens. We don’t stand with racists here.
So glad I found this video! Spending a few hrs in queens before heading back to tx. I didn’t want to waste time going to time square.
Action kid is from Astoria
@Andy From NYC Skrew you! ActionKid is awesome!

Anthony Bourdain was a good man he inspired me to travel. Sad what happened to him.
Be happy he is Happy or Resurrect him. We are always Yeshua's.
He was murdered. My favorite TV host too

Lhasa fast food is not there anymore FYI - during covid - the whole block was caught by fire
I grew up in Long Island City, and seeing the old Pepsi sign made me tear up because that was where the Pepsi Factory used to be at. I miss my old Neighborhood now.

Hmmm....I’m gonna move to Queens from my small town. And in the process maybe raise the rent
Seven years in tibet good movie.

Love queens. Born and raised, but gonna have to move out in a few years cause it's getting kind of pricey :(

Queens has three things going for it:
1. Easier, slower pace
2. More diversity
3. Lower costs
4. Top food choice
There's SO many can't miss places in queens that I'm shocked you narrowed it down to 8
