We've used this griddler for a variety of items including steak, fish, vegetables ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMcXT6_MuT0hB3ejyGQQHaeof9bwoWPUf and mushrooms and it's been great! Gets that great smokey flavor when using high heat or sear. The grill works amazingly simple and very low smoke for what it is. Heat gets up fairly quick, especially on closed position. The griddler side is fairly simple, better for eggs and pancakes rather than any cooking. Use the flat plates with the grill side if needed.Cleanup is easy and having heat on both sides is great for cooking a large amount or panini press. This definitely gets hot though so be careful with the sides.
I love watching these guys with their Boston accents. Then you watch Hungry Hussey and get the Southern drawl. I love America! I will be trying pizza on my newly acquired 36 inch Blackstone very soon. Keep up the good work guys!
Looks like a lot of fun bustin' each others chops. Food of course looked great too. I've been saying for two years now...."I gotta get me a Blackstone".
Yes we watched the serf and turf, will look at the roast beef today, you guys are an inspiration I’m a senior with no hobbies now I got you, going to Walmart today to pick up a 17” black stone , keep up the great info and will be sure to keep watching
Thanks guys. I'm the manufacture of chilson creek pizza ovens. (Wood fired) but I have a blackstone that I'm goin to try out your pizza recipe. Take care.
Made my first Pizza on the Blackstone last night. It was the BEST !!! The crust was really crispy and the options for toppings are limitless. Over the years I have tried all sorts of gadgets to make a Pizza short of buying a Pizza Oven. Thanks Guys for a great Idea. Keep the videos coming and thanks for all the effort you put in.
@@TheGriddleGuys Not at all, usually my crust gets finished early without it. But watching u cook the pep an other ingredients first makes complete sense. Anything to get more time with the griddle and the Yeti Tumbler full of goodness is what it's all about.
@@TheGriddleGuys I do home made dough hotter, less time on the lid while dough is also cooking. Looking to get a cheap $20 walmart 17.5 or garage sale square grill for the vented lid to help with cooking covered and letting steam out.
On point Jeff! The BBQ Chicken Pizza I made (just as you did in the video) on my 36" Griddle turned out unbelievable! The crust came out crispy & delicious along with the garlic flavor. If I didn't know it was cooked on a griddle, I would've thought it was done in a pizza oven. Cooking pizza outside.............gotta love it!!!
That BBQ chicken pizza looks great! Schlotzskys Deli used to serve a pizza like that but with jalepenos in addition to your ingredients! I am shopping for a Blackstone Griddle and will have to try this!
Another well done griddle job........I may try to do a BLT pizza.....Crust, Bacon, Cheese, drizzle mayo all over, chopped lettuce, and diced tomatoes! Keep up the good work!!
@@TheGriddleGuys tonight was my first attempt on our 22" Blackstone and it went great! Used the Boboli regular crust. Before warming that up and using the oil & garlic power method you showed, I pre-griddled pepperoni, onion, and red pepper. Had the sauce in a small glass jar just simmering on the corner of the griddle. Everything came together great. I have the lid for my 22" so after I put the cheese on I closed the lid for a few minutes and the cheese melted all the way through. Thanks again!!
great segment. I'm going to have to try some. my wife doesn't like onions but i can see onion, green pepper and mushrooms along with pepperoni or sausage....you guys are making me hungry....thanks for sharing.
Ty Patrick. I love pizza on the griddle. Definitely a fan favorite in my house. A little inside scoop, we should have another pizza video next week😉. Ty for commenting-J
I've been using refrigerated pizza dough that can be found at some Walmarts. It's found above Walmarts own premade pizzas near the bakery/deli. It's a fresh made dough ball in a plastic bag for .97! You will need to roll it out like the pizza shop guys do. We like ours thick so we use 2 bags of dough. Makes a great stromboli too! Some bakeries sell pizza dough as well.
I like the garlic in the oil! I ‘cheat’ and get dough balls from my local pizza joint. I too do the oil, but throw some cornmeal on the griddle - adds to the crunch! Flipping the crust will almost insure it won’t get soggy. Low heat all around. Tent with a foil pan. I like the barbecue chicken! Gotta try that! I did a margarita pizza with some fresh Roma tomatoes, slices of mozzarella, and chopped basil - amazing! Great channel!
Awesome and ty.. We really do love hearing comments like this. I know it takes a few extra steps but be sure to try the bbq chicken. If you like a little heat, slice up a jalapeno and saute with the red onion. Also awesome.. Good luck and ty again.
I tried this using pre cooked bread. If you like a thin crispy crust Try a naan 8-12 inch crust you can put a dome over. The cheese Melts better. Thank for sharing great videos. Ned in NY
Great vid man. Griddles can do a lot but never though of pizza on it. So as far as anything I have to offer is just maybe put a lid that is a couple of inches bigger than the pizza over it RIGHT after you add the cheese... not sure if you would want to shoot some water under it or not as it might soften up that nice dough...don't know if you like pickles or not but that would go great on the bbq pie. Looked really good man.
They look great. I may try an all meat. I will have to cook all the meats prior like you did with the pepperoni. Use like hamburger, sausage, bacon. But looks awesome guys.
I'm just a newby trying to decide if I should get a griddle or not. I've been watching your videos for awhile now. They look incredible every time. I've looked at both the Blackstone and Camp Chef griddles. You guys look like you're all having a blast. Keep them coming.
Thanks Tom for commenting. Your really coming into the griddle community at a great time. More options for griddles than ever before. Good luck and Cheers-J
Hi, guys! You all are a hoot! Having a new home built in Yakima, WA, and got my outdoor gas hook up. Was going for traditional gas BBQ, but now I'm torn. I love cooking turkey on the BBQ, but burgers, bacon, and...on the griddle? Guess I need to build a bigger patio! Tito's cheers!
I don't want to start a controversy, but the BBQ chicken is our favorite pizza from one of the big chains. The only thing you're missing is the crushed pineapple. You guys are killing me because I don't have a Blackstone yet. I live in an apartment with no patio. I was going to get the 22" from WalMart with the legs and lid, but they jumped the price to make their new 28" model look more attractive. Jack-hats! I'm hoping the price drops after Christmas again.

Put a lid or a aluminum roaster pan over the pizza to melt the cheese. We make these every week. Luv the channel
A wok lid, about 12 inches in diameter, works great for this. Also use it as a griddle lid for veggies and other things.
Either of you guys feel the crust got a little soggy ? I only did it once and that was my experience. I'll have to try it again.
