Hi!!! I recently watched your video but decided to bring my scooter to a shop to have someone change my tire professionally. For some reason after they changed the tire in the front my cruise control doesn’t cut off by tapping the brake or by tapping the throttle
One key point to keep in mind when working with any tubeless tire is that the opposite side of the tire bead needs to be kept in the drop center, or the well in the middle of the wheel. That's what allows enough slack to pull the bead over the edge of the rim. The other necessity is application of tire lube, which allows the rubber to slide more easily over the edge as you work.
I'm guessing that this tip is actually a critically important bit of advice. It seems that it will help me to get the tire off using a lot less force on the levers. That will be useful for avoiding deformation of the rim. Thanks, dude, you're a champ.
Perfect procedure how to change the tires of Ninebot..I bought my Ninebot Max last week so i keep on watching on your very helpful videos.Thank you Dude
13:19 Thank you very much for this informative video. I had to pause the vid to immediately cancel my pending order for the upgrade tire as you quickly made me realize that I am not prepared for this battle att. At the point in the vid the struggle with the levers is inserting too far. Not catching the angle tip and only that. Been there, it's tricky.
Just a heads up: The stem will loosen within a couple months. Take down the stem. To tighten your stem there is a 1 inch long hex bolt within the takedown latch that you will need to tighten by 1-2 turns that’s all😁
After ~ 2 month UPPDATE: I have since I bought the scooter only maintained the screws that I screwed when assembled the scooter, but will consider take down the steam. Still no issues since I bought it!❤
after all the heaving and huffing half way through the video i needed a Red Bull and a valium to calm myself down all this i learned when i got my first bicycle this should have been very easy but as you see poor guy was insecure but learning as he went along good job xaxa

The final pop of a tyre into the rim is one of the most satisfying thing ever. Replacing a tyre on your own is such a nightmare. You could have stepped on the tyre and used your weight to push the edges down. But great video man. I heard you say for God’s sake 🤣
For all those who struggled with the final step, where you need the tire to set itself with a "large amount of air" - there's a much easier way. All you need to do is take some decent string and wrap it around the tire, along the thread. Next, make a simple knot, put a screwdriver right on top, and make another knot to secure the screwdriver. Next, rotate the screwdriver, which will tighten the rope. The rope needs to be right in the middle of thread. This will either set the tire on its own, or start putting air into it as normal, and it will set.
This video helped me get the punctured tire off, and with some help from a couple friends I was able to get the new tire around the rim but about 1/4-1/3 of the bead didn’t set, it’s still down in the trough of the rim. I’ve got some actual tire levers like you’re using coming in the mail, would I be able to get those down in the and let the bead out? Would that damage the tire?
a tip you can heat the tire in the oven before puting it on to sofen the rubber joust rember not to make it too hot (cant rember what i set mine to 50c i think was the lowest my oven had), on a nother note it is also recamented to replse the valve wen you do the tire as the remuval of he tire may damage it :-)
Prolly a dumb request but you should put down the tools you used in the description, like your 10mm and the 15mm sockets, great vid tho I just got some new tires I’m excited to put on😁🤧 kinda wore my last set past the wires😅
After mounting the tire, it wouldn't inflate. I even tried using a starting fluid and fire to seat the bead and it still didn't work? Do you have any ideas I could try?
Changing the REAR tire is a nightmare (involving having to take off the entire bottom and disconnect various wires). A real pain Thank for the excellent guide!
If you are having trouble seating the bead. Then you’ll either need high pressure to do so. Or you can ask your local tire fitter to help. They will have all the tools.
Is the trouble worth it? I need as much cushion as I can have for my bad back. I fear ending up in the middle of nowhere with a flat tire. How much more suspension/absorbtion can I expect from this one compared to ES2?

@@zibbezabba2491 G30 doesn't have solid tires from the factory. They are tubeless however, but still air filled and have more suspension than solid tires.
On the tyre itself is mentioned 55 psi max pressure. Which pressure do you use? And if the tyre isn't fit well onto rim, how much pressure we can use to get tyre fit well? What do you think?
When you are putting the tire on, to seat the bead, you can put a little more pressure. Maybe up to 80-100psi to get it to pop. However, you would be better off taking it to mechanic that can get the bead seated, if you don't feel comfortable doing that. Riding PSI, I set to around 40.
I just spend 4 hrs and failed at the point of getting the new tire on. I don't get to stabilize it, cause then the rim just pops diagonally out the other way, right when I thought I was getting it right. How do you get to stabilize the rim when squeezing the tire on? Tried to use a strap chord to anker it down (tire to rim), but that just leaves it on a very difficilt place to pop the rubber tire over and now I just got a broke tire and lots of scratched on the rim :( ..help? Do your clamps really narrow just the tire or to they also keep tire to rim in place?
Ok so I got a whole thing set up with straps and stuff, because I couldn’t get the force to pop the tire over and keep the rim still at the same tile. Too bad I damaged the tire in all thus, cause now that I finally got it on, it doesn’t inflate :( it was really really sturdy, not sure how anyone ever manages to get a new tire on with just the tools of this video :/
16:14 were you able to use that foot pump to seat the beads or did you have someone with a compressor do it? It does usually require a burst of air to seat, which is going to be difficult with just a manual pump. With some car tires and wheelbarrow tires, even an air compressor inflator doesn't work, and then it needs a special air tank with a large diameter valve to dump all the air in one shot directly into the tire.
Help me please... I got the tire on but it's sitting crooked (sidewall is tall on one side and short (rolled in) on the other side) causing the bead to not seat PLEASE HELP
I was asked by my sponsor at the time to show how it was done. So it was all good. However, even though they are self healing, this doesn't mean that they dont need to be changed from time to time. Self healing tires only work with small punctures etc.

in England are you familiar with bike shops who would get involved with that, here in Florida they will do it but don't like to cause of the electronics.
Hey, here is England, I have not tried to take anything to ther bike shop as this can be expensive. So I do everything myself if I can. But yes I have heard that you can heat the tire up with water to soften it up. My only concern is the jelly layer. This could potentially melt out.
Can anyone give me some tips about rim doesn't fit on the bead, i can fit it at all.. and because can't find nearly nowhere vids or info how to fix it...?
Best thing to do is go to your local tire mechanic and have them seat the bead. That’s the hardest part of the change. Unless you have high flow compressor
More puncture-resistant, or not - it seems to be the same bloody hassle to change tyres, when you nevertheless is forced to do it. I say - go for splitt-able tire-rimes instead. The Zero 8/9/10 models have splitt-able tire-rimes. I rather go with tubed tyres in splitt-able rims, then tubeless tyres in non-splitt rims.
I believe the process is the same, you just need to be extra careful as it's the motor. Be sure to take it fully off before doing anything. If you have someone to help you too, that would be a bonus.
Guides say around 37 psi. I however put in 45/50 psi. And you shouldn’t have to add any sealant as the tire has a gel layer already inside. But if you feel like you would like to have added protection. You should do it
The tire is actually fine. There’s lots of miles left in there. Kickmotion was kind enough to send me out a new one to demonstrate how to change your Ninebot Max’s tire :)
Thanks mate! Just wonder how long have you used your Max before you need to change the tire? Was it because it broke or it’s a nice-to-have change? I just got a new one and wonder if I need to buy a spare tire already just in case, since I hade some bad experience with some other pneumatic tires on an another scooter
I was sponsored at the time to show how to change the tire. My other tire was fine so kept for backup. However, I would buy another just to make sure you have a spare :)
never dismantle a tubeless tire like this ! The lever made with the metal bars can damage the rim ! this causes micro-leaks and after that the tire deflates very slowly !!
@@ScootLetsGo To begin with, it was not an attack but a tip. I first started by trying the same method as you to change my tire and it caused micro-leaks. after that, I inquired about a new method to not have the same problem again. If the tire cannot be repaired, it is better to cut it out for removal. this prevents unnecessary leverage with metal bars on the rim. To install the new tire. it is true that it is hard to do it with any object other than metal but that does not prevent you from protecting the rim ! For example you can wrap your metal bars with something that will prevent knocking on the rim. I repeat again, it was not an attack and maybe my comment was misspoken. I'm sorry about that. Also sorry for my bad english but i'm using google translate. Have a great day too
Hey dude, I never took it as an attack. I simply wanted to see your take on it if you would be willing to do a video. Do you mean the screw holding on the brake?
@@ScootLetsGo Yes. Attached to the drum.
This is just a 10mm socket :). The square bit behind is just the mechanism for the brake drum. You do not need to remove this
Do you have a video for the rear tire?
how can you increase speed of your g30 max, is that possible
You can by changing the motor to a gen2 and also changing the battery to 48v output with custom firmware.
@@ScootLetsGo ...30 kmh is oke :)
How do you let the air out without an air valve
in England are you familiar with bike shops who would get involved
with that, here in Florida they will do it but don't like to cause of the electronics.
maybe to add I bumped into a guy
who's changed a few. he said he puts
the old tire and new tire in supper hot water.
to soften them up.
Hey, here is England, I have not tried to take anything to ther bike shop as this can be expensive. So I do everything myself if I can.
But yes I have heard that you can heat the tire up with water to soften it up. My only concern is the jelly layer. This could potentially melt out.
Where did you buy the longest tool for the tire
Hi, i watch you from Italy.
Is this the original tire or the best replace for that?
Thanks and good job!
Welcome. Greetings from 🇬🇧:)
This is an original tire and works perfectly.
Link in description for it :).
Rather putting 10x2.5 be awesome setup for riding experience and so t have to putting up with stupid 60/70 6.5 tires
Plus I had to by a special plastic tool cause it wasn't recommended to use any metal tool do to damaging
I agree, but with thinner wheels its just easier to design a solid wheel. With Zero scooters for example, they have slightly wider wheels
Where you buy the longest tool tires
Ok I used that air removal device but it’s not taking the air out of my tire any reason why
Have you tried pushing the valve in?
You do things the hard way ,just use your knees to hold the corner in place and use 3 spoons to snap it on
Genius
Where can I get the tool you are using? Clamp.
There should be some links in the description
Awesome video. I’m preparing to change my back tire this weekend. Is it safe to assume the steps are pretty similar?
I believe the process is the same, you just need to be extra careful as it's the motor. Be sure to take it fully off before doing anything.
If you have someone to help you too, that would be a bonus.
I seen you release the air. Does the tires have a tube in them?
These are tubeless tires :)
Thank you. Should I just put more air in it can I fill it with Fix-A-Flat like I seen before?
Guides say around 37 psi. I however put in 45/50 psi.
And you shouldn’t have to add any sealant as the tire has a gel layer already inside. But if you feel like you would like to have added protection. You should do it
how many miles did the tire go?
The tire is actually fine. There’s lots of miles left in there. Kickmotion was kind enough to send me out a new one to demonstrate how to change your Ninebot Max’s tire :)
Realize my rear tire was flat and I didn't have all that stuff to fix but I managed but it was very difficult
Even with all the stuff it can be tricky.
A bike shop would probably be more convenient for people
Did it with my bare hands

Wait it's the new generation but the same old problems regarding tire replacement?
Your going to have this problem with most tires. Just the nature of tire replacement :(
Completely skipped the hardest part:
Seating the tire in the rim.
Thanks for that
It’s the same process for the back tire?
Yeah
Ok, please can you make a video of you changing the tire with plastic levers?
I would be interested to see.
Have a great day.
@@ScootLetsGo
To begin with, it was not an attack but a tip. I first started by trying the same method as you to change my tire and it caused micro-leaks.
after that, I inquired about a new method to not have the same problem again.
If the tire cannot be repaired, it is better to cut it out for removal. this prevents unnecessary leverage with metal bars on the rim.
To install the new tire. it is true that it is hard to do it with any object other than metal
but that does not prevent you from protecting the rim !
Im hoping that my channel can be a community for everyone inputting their ideas. :)
Of course now thinking about it I should have done something with the levers to protect the rim. However, it worked out perfectly fine for me.
At the end of the day we all do things differently and that’s what makes this great. All of us coming together to solve a problem :)

I like the content of your channel that's why I subscribed and allowed to make a comment to improve it.
You're right, the most important thing is to share our experiences to provide solutions for everyone !
I started out terrible at filming. And still need a little work. Always a little difficult as a 1 man band.
Keep adding your ideas and we will improve :)
Jeez, how did you do that without swearing 🤬. I hope the huge slash in my tyre holds up!
En fait c'est très compliqué....infact it IS very complicated
Warm the new tire up with a heat gun and it will be easier to put on
