Do you remember how u sealed the plywood? An if so what was used? Then what paint? Did the plywood end up splitting or stay in good shape? I feel a good seal will prevent the wood split like I see on a lot!! Thanks for info I am currently building one an almost to the painting stage
So, I used MDO plywood which is virtually waterproof. It’s what a lot of outdoor billboards are made out of, so that helped a lot. It’s a specialty order sheet good though. And I just used exterior primer and paint from good old Lowe’s
Do you mind sharing the cost not including the trailer? I had planned to use a 7x16 enclosed cargo trailer and convert it, but with all the appliances, tanks cabinets I quit counting at $10,000 so sold the trailer and scrapped that idea. Got $6,000 for it during Covid, new they were almost almost double that.
Excellent, thanks. I was building a full blown camper with shower, toilet, black & grey tanks, sinks, appliances, AC, windows, doors, stabilizers, etc. I just didn’t want to tackle it at that expense. It would be like having $16,000 in it, since I sold the trailer for $6,000. It was in perfect shape.
exterior looks really nice. i watched your "walls" episode but cant quite figure out what exactly you did. is it just your 1/2" plywood skin sanded and painted? did you do anything special at edges where plywoods meet? i am trying to decide weather to do PMF or ponny up for aluminum sheets, but i am really intrigued to your approach. thanks
I'm watching part 1 to 5 you do amazing work like a factory 👌 great job 👏
Thank you
Great build.
Thank you👍🏻
Thank you, Brian

I saw parts 1, 4, and 5. Where are parts 2 & 3 hidden? You used MDO, but they only come in 4' widths. Please explain how you get 5 x 8 .
All the build series is on my channel, so not sure why you can’t see them. My local specialty plywood dealer sold the MDO to me in 5x10 sheets.

Thanks. For the edges of the MDO I used a layer of Bondo to seal it, then sanded it flush👍🏻
That looks good.
Thank you👍🏻
What is the depth of the doors and the walls they just look perfect
They ended up being about 1 7/8” thick. The doors have several different sizes you can choose from to match the thickness of the walls
Oh wow thanks! I’ve been thinking about building a camper trailer for a while now thank you!
@@thomasthompson3967 👍🏻👍🏻
awesome!
👍🏻
What was the total cost of the build? Thanks.
All in, including trailer about 8k I believe
What the height on the inside
6’ in the back where it raises up, 5’ in the front
