Welcome to the first episode of this domestic travel series. In this episode, we get on the first sector between Adelaide and Brisbane. We cover everything from the lounge, into the cabin, and dwell into the catering for today’s journey. What I was not expecting was the amount of eggs I consumed. Along the way, we also experience some of Australia’s best cabin crew in the sky.

Great video, Virgin is my carrier of choice as they tend to be cheaper than most other airlines and they always have the best crew onboard. Hope you enjoyed your trip!
I think VA has priced their business class very well. Especially their business promo fares. I'll be damned if I ever pay for a flight on QF! Haha...
@@ryansofly So true, I booked VA business from Perth to Cairns for $450 each way last year with a stop in Brisbane. 4 full fare business class tickets for only $900 return which also got me velocity gold. Would never get those sort of prices on Qantas.

That's a LOT of sports stadiums! Could be the location to hold the 2032 Olympics! I flew from Adelaide earlier this year and the lounge was really nice but like you I was (seriously) underwhelmed by the breakfast food, there was barely anything and the eggs were sort of poached but looked plastic and I avoided them. But as a space I liked the lounge (flight review coming in a couple of weeks I think including lounge). Thanks for another great review with the odd 'fun fact' thrown in too! :)
I think it's just a case of me getting too used to lounge brekky, nothing surprises me anymore. Adelaide VA lounge is one of my faves, followed closely by Melbourne. Loving your travel series, by the way.
I recently flew 4 sectors in business class. The upside was the priority check in with two bags, priority security screening and lounge access. The downside was the seats were awful, uncomfortable and the aircraft starting to show their age. The food service was very ordinary with little crappy portions. No tea or coffee was offered on any sector. One sector the cabin manager must have crashed and banged the carts and doors for nearly the whole flight which was surprising for the lack of service. Virgin business class is what it is. Cheap, affordable just don’t ever pay full price because you’re wasting your money!!
Agreed on all points. I'm never ever one to pay full fare for anything. Unless it's JQ then I'll max it for points and SCs. But yeah VA can be very ordinary but you do get what you pay for.

I find virgin business class good. Certainly far cheaper than Qantas. I agree they tend to be good although late running flights are not uncommon.
VA has priced their JCL fares right, I'll only fly up there with promo fares. Just not sure about their YCL fares though.
Good to get back to domestic travel in Aus. By the way, your subscribers are climbing and your video likes are damn impressive. I get barely 500 views and 20 likes on my videos in a month when your 1 day old video is over 1K views and almost 100likes. You're killing it! ADL's Virgin lounge is actually one of my faves in the entire domestic network. That brekkie looks absolutely delicious. I'd be very happy with it. You are totally going to be using the UL tea comparison in every video aren't you? LOL

Running out of choices happens on all flights. It just depends on who's the unlucky one to cop it. Airlines can't cater all meal options for every passenger. There's nowhere to store them. Hahaha.
Thats common they only take on limited quantities of each choice , your best bet is to be in row 1 to get your preferred choice
I want to know what was the alternate choice?
Virgin's business meals, are so far ahead of the garbage Hudson serves on Qantas. No butter pats, bread rolls, and other peasant English traditional condiments. Just a healthy meal and a Danish. Perfect.
Yeah I have no complaints about the food on virgin, given the price we pay for their JCL service.
They finally gobtheir first Max8 and its going on their Cairns to Haneda route at the end of July, are you going to put it on your list?
I'm not exactly looking forward to that sort of distance in a narrow body. 🤣
Is wifi included for the business class?
WiFi is free for all classes, but its purely used for streaming the IFE. No access to the internet.
