My apologies for the green glitches in this video, all my videos are made using a 2013 MacBook Air, it seems to have trouble handling such a large project now, I’ll get a new laptop soon.
Rory don't stress if the video is too long, quality and detail matter. the video is already top notch and I'd hate it if suddenly the video was very short and lacked minor details. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THESE VIDEOS FOR US TO ENJOY
Thank you 😊 my next video won’t have 4 flights in one video that’s why it’s gonna be shorter. I won’t sacrifice any detail in exchange for a shorter video length.
Hi Rory! It was really great meeting you the other week! Thank you for the kind words too! I remember watching your Spirit of the Outback video before doing that journey, and it was very helpful! Best of luck to you and I hope to see you again soon!
You have sold me VA, really impressive- four flights have left a very positive impression. You must’ve been exhausted but your efforts and enthusiasm has paid off. Thank you for sharing this epic adventure and can’t wait to see you flying VA Business again. PS Adelaide lounge looks incredible - well done Virgin Australia! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
No! No ! Rory I don't mind your longer video's...:):):) Your video's are complete. I love how you show the food service which is a big part of travelling for me...As I said almost all of the You Tubers don' show this... Take care and be safe Rory...:):):)
Sydney's Virgin Lounge is still and will always be my favourite lounge in aus for spotting. Great videos as always Rory! Bringing back so many pre-covid VA travel memories :)
What kind of a nut job in catering gives salt and pepper for a meal of Bircher Muesli and Danish Pastrie but not sugar for tea? (First leg Adelaide to Melbourne) bonkers! Love the long video. You did an epic trip that day 16hrs on the road, full credit to you and a fantastic review👍
A fair and reasonable review of the four Virgin Flights. The photography was innovative. I had no problems with the length of the video, averaging 7 5 minutes per flight. When you sit on an airplane and something, in this case the plug, does not work, you begin to wonder what else does not work! I was told that the Coolangatta runway starts in Qld and ends up in NSW. I have never checked this fact. An informative and entertaining video. Rory Ding gets 10 out of 10!
The power plugs aren’t broken; you often have to specifically ask for them to be turned on. They seem to like to turn them off for take-off and landing, I guess to force people to put away large devices. But they often forget to turn it on so you just ask and they do it.
I have really enjoyed this flight review Rory. As others have pointed out I have had no problem with the length as it has been broken down into four informative segments which has grabbed my interested and seemed to take little time watch through. Also taking four flights with one airline in one day and in business class is an innovative and fresh take on flight reporting.
I flew VA Business to Bali on the 2/8 & returned the 24/8 . It was Excellent. Just couldn't fault the service or the food or the seating or the service . Flying back to Bali again in 2 months & VA Business again. Very impressed .
Very detailed video of VA’s business class, much more better than that terrible snack box during last year. Either way another great video in which I watched from start to finish.
Great video as always. We like long travel reviews as we get more of the story. I really like your attention to detail. Did you end up reporting the seat plugs to the cabin crew? That’s poor for business class. Keep them coming mate.
What I found is some crews like to turn them off before take off, and sometimes they forget to turn them back on. I flew their business class again couple weeks ago. I had to ask the cabin manager to turn them on 😊
Great video! I always ask them to turn on the power outlets as they told me they are supposed to be off for take off and landing. Flew several QF flights the other day and they were all turned off and I was asked to unplug for take off and landing with them too.
First time I've come across your channel. Watch your video from start to end. Video was really good and entertaining and informative so thank you very much

What, salmon salad muscles out the pie for top spot, that's incredible. And just how many Gate 13's can you fit into your video's? Power to you Rory. 👍
Thanks for the report, it’s good to see business is pretty much back to ‘normal’. It’s a shame about the muesli, but that’s probably because ADL isn’t a catered port. And with the power points, just ask the crew to turn them on.
Just out of curiosity, how much did this all cost and how many status points did you get from these flights? I'm looking at moving up to gold and trying to find the best route / fare type to get the status points to upgrade domestically
4 business class flights in one day? You must've received a good discount before you started flying. I wish I could fly around Australia, great video :)
Hi Rory, that was a really good video I had two business class seats with virgin airlines in travel bank that we cancelled at the beginning of Covid in early 2020, so next time I get to fly to Queensland to see my family I shall definitely fly virgin business class, your video was very informative but not too long.
Nice trip report! The Club Lounge Melbourne is beautiful. The catering service seemed to have improved much compare to your previous trip report with them. Maybe the crew turned off the power plugs, I think you're not that unlucky to fly 4 aircrafts and all of them have broken power plugs
As I explained in the video 3 were probably broken and 1 didn’t have plugs because it was an older aircraft. There’s no point for the crew of some flights to turn off the plugs and for some to leave it on And one particular aircraft, I’ve been on it 5 times and the plugs were never on, so it can’t be the crew that turned it off.
The service on virgin is usually pretty good and pretty friendly. Kind of underwhelmed by the food that I’m seeing though. Maybe it’s a better idea to just have a nice meal in the lounge before flying.
This video was filmed on 27 April On 23 April i had 2 virgin business class flights (I didn’t film), on one aircraft plugs were on, the other aircraft (VH-YFR), plugs were off, on 19 April I had 1 flight, plugs were on as well, on 3 March, i flew on (VH-YFR), plugs were off, so when I was filming this video, I thought the plugs were just issue with some particular aircraft and hoping the next aircraft would be working so I didn’t ask the crew. Next time I fly virgin I definitely will ask them.

Hi, is the food free in business class? Why are there prices on food items? I put in my bid for business class flights for next weekend. It's minimum $70 each way for the upgrade so not sure if it's worth it. ( CBR to BRS). Also, Maccers seriously has the best OJ, it's freshly squeezed 😜 Thanks for video, very informative!
Another great video Rory, thanks! It's a shame to see that the standard in service and quality with Virgin still varies so much... I know the pandemic has been hard for them, but would be good to see them try a bit harder going forward. I'd rather pay a little bit more at this stage and just stick with Qantas. I also find it really strange that the manager of the lounge at Sydney wouldn't allow you to film the bar and buffet, have you ever encountered this with another carrier? Also just wanted to say I thought the length of the video was spot on!
I think the manager at Sydney lounge was having a bad day perhaps so he made things difficult for me? There’s no clear rules on filming at the airport/lounges/onboard the plane It’s up to the managers unfortunately 🙁 And no I had never had problem with filming in the lounge or on the plane before (as long as I don’t film the staff)
@@RoryDing That's a shame, but I did watch your video from March after this, and it does look like they are at least moving in the right direction. I think you are right, just a bad day for the manager. Doesn't excuse they way they treated you though!
not sure if you are in the aviation industry but an aircraft can still operate as long as they have all the mandatory items in a M.E.L!! Minimum Equipment List!! Sockets in the seat are not an item which would render the plane unable to fly. But it also found it odd that two seperate aircraft rego's both had non functioning power sockets.. Maybe its a company directive.
Thanks for the review. Though I don't understand such a positive take on such a cash grab and pale imitation of business class. (No power? No wifi? Do they think it's 1990?) I guess your March experience was that bad 😂 It is cheaper than Qantas yes, but still unashamedly business class pricing for a product that's just not. Anyway, I enjoyed the video.

Sockets in the seat are not an item which would render the plane unable to fly. But it also found it odd that two seperate aircraft rego's both had non functioning power sockets.. Maybe its a company directive.
They do work, just need to ask the crew to activate them on the screen at the front of the aircraft. Never had a problem after I ask them.
Thank you Rory. I enjoyed it. But sadly I am and always be a Jetstar girl.
Amazing job!
Thanks
You changed your profile picture!
@@RoryDing Yeah, I think it needed to resemble airplanes a bit more :D
Haha looks great!
Thanks for the review. Though I don't understand such a positive take on such a cash grab and pale imitation of business class. (No power? No wifi? Do they think it's 1990?) I guess your March experience was that bad 😂
It is cheaper than Qantas yes, but still unashamedly business class pricing for a product that's just not.
Anyway, I enjoyed the video.
Well each leg was $299 I thought I shouldn’t complain too much considering they’ve already had a big upgrade on their meals and inflight service😂
Have you eaten at a hungry Jacks? Is that the equivalent to American Jack in the box?
No Hungry Jack's is Burger King
Nice
Why did you have to do 4 flights in 1 day? Just for fun?
The power points don't start working until your up in the air
On flights that they did work, the plugs were on the whole time (from boarding to disembarking)
If they were on up in the air I’d be able to see it 😂
I’ll remember to charge my devices pre flight if I ever fly virgin 😝.
Yeah that’s why I always have a power bank in my bag as back up 😬
amazing 🥰😇
