Now that's what I call a "functional planner"!!! I've used planners since before they were everywhere, and a friend introduced me to Franklin and I was hooked. I even worked at an FC store for awhile almost 20 years ago, so I am rather mystified by all the clutter I see in videos on "planning." I LOVE how you used washi and stickers sparingly and purposefully, but you also make it fun and whimsical, yet still professional. SO glad I found this video! It is going on my gratitude list today! (I even took notes!)
Pat.S.S I had the exact same thoughts as I watched the video too! This is totally my own planner style; functional and organized, with a few random fun elements here and there, but not a perfectly color coordinated "scrapbook." I am also a veteran FC user, and will be watching again to take notes.
My freelance job requires me to be TOTALLY paperless for the fact I am mobile 90% of the time, so I rely heavily on my iPhone and a power bank. However, I do still carry my Franklin Covey Daytimer....I just cannot break the habit. It just adds a second level of security for me and peace of mind--and the fact that I get a certain feeling of accomplishment when I can physically mark things off of my list. I don't decorate my daytimer for the fact it just adds additional bulk to my already "bursting at the zipper" binder and I am a bit of a neat freak so too much "fufu" just makes me feel like I am looking at a messy sock drawer. The report cover and the Avery 5418 tip are clever and something I surely gained from your video. It is neat looking into the "Paper World" of another person. I am coming back to Franklin Covey after trying those other fancy planners out there. While I do love my simple Moleskine weekly for appointments and weekly to-dos, I knew I just needed to get back to my day on 2 pages. Your video is so great! Lots of ideas, and I love how everything in it has a purpose. Thanks for sharing it!
Out of all the planner videos I have watched yours is the most functional. I like the way you have everything in one place. I am a business owner and my husband as well. I also work outside of the home. I really have a lot to keep up with and realized a few months ago I need to go back to my planner. Thanks for sharing the avery stickers.

I too love how detailed your planner is. I love FC and the larger rings. I like to put ALL my 'areas of life' in one planner and FC is the only one I've found with the larger rings and that will hold up.

I've used fc before but I'm buying a new organizer.. Probably FILOFAX.. I stopped using paper planners years ago.. But going back to them because it's much better to actually write things down... I'm impressed with how creative you can get with these planners!! Can't wait to start on mine!!
So I learned the hard way that it’s not always zipper closures which make a binder larger and bulkier - it’s ring size. I just bought a snap closure classic FC with 1.5” gold rings like this one, and its footprint is identical to my classic FC zip binders with the same ring size, like the Mia. Oh well...

Do you have a puncher for this size paper (A5)? 3. Did you print the little stickers--MasterCard, car..? Thanks again. Long video but not boring--interesting.

Interesting and informative, thank you for sharing. You presented techniques and tips I can use. Suggestion: Mount the camera, its movement is quite distracting, and with it mounted you can use both hands. Phone tripods are less than ten dollars.
