East Meadow cruiserweight Jamie Drubin was a former sparring partner of Lennox Lewis, a trainer and cutman and a U.S. Marine. As a pro, Drubin fought Vaughn Bean, who twice challenged for the world heavyweight title and Marc Randazzo, who challenged for the cruiserweight crown. In the amateurs, Jamie won the Kid Gloves and the Empire State Games. He was also a sparring partner for Donny Lalonde, Tony Tubbs, Tim Witherspoon and others. He trained Kevin Collins, Richie Kiley and Dilsia Bonilla. He was a cutman for Cletus Seldin. #boxing #historyofboxing #longisland #jamiedrubin
