The 75th Ranger Regiment is the United States elite infantry force. They're under the United States Army Special Operations Command and are dedicated to counter-terrorism direct action operations around the world.
In recent times the 75th Ranger Regiment has focused the majority of their efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting against Al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Their role in Iraq and Afghanistan was to hunt down HVT's (High-Valued Targets).

“Though I may be the lone survivor Rangers lead the way!” Man that quote speaks volume on Operation Red Wings salute to the rangers that recovered everything from the crash site and rescued Marcus Luttrell.
First timer hearing about rangers and seals because of Hollywood. I was 10 year old 17 years agos and men like them existed way before me.most stand up personality compared to everyone else and sharpest.

Even seals need heroes

I'm older now. Definitely wiser. The only thing I can say to those who desire a career in the profession of arms? Develop your mindset now! Run, swim, shoot now! Most of all, don't look for trouble. You become a Ranger, the trouble will find you.
Shoot now? Dude you don't need to learn how to shoot before coming to a ranger.
@@MM-qt8gz Run and swim? Everyone should shoot man! Everyone. Certain skills should be developed for life. Like driving a manual. I've been out maybe 30yrs? I'm 6'1 230. I'm still aggressive! Stay aggressive!
@@keithjackson4985 you're giving the false pretense telling these ranger hopefuls that you need to learn to shoot before RASP. Which is not true. You're talking about being aggressive. I'm talking about RASP. Two different subjects.
@@MM-qt8gz You're taking what I said completely out of context! If it makes you more prepared for life, should you do it? Rangers aren't aggressive? I was in the Infantry. Everyone one of those cocksuckers was aggressive! You want to be a Ranger, and not be aggressive?
@@keithjackson4985 always through my life they teached me to stay quiet and patient..very different..
Proud as hell to wear the Ranger patch and spend 9 years of my younger years with the 75th. I miss those days and forever in my heart and soul am a ranger thru n thru! To all those serving in the 75th today 👍
You're a bad ass!
I can’t wait to be the next in line!
I call bullshit
I’m gonna go in on Opt40 after senior year , currently in my junior year , any advice ?
My best friend (may he rest in peace) served in 1/75 and deployed to Kandahar. I got to attend his graduation from RASP and over the next few years I met a lot of his fellow Rangers in addition to visiting the Ranger compound at HAF. Great group of guys that have my undying respect.
Respect and Rest In Peace to your friend.
Army Rangers are tough and lethal killers. Rangers Lead The Way!

But for real thank god for these brave men and women who lay it all on the line so we can live in the country in the world.FTP!!
as far as YOU know...much more you dont tho
Hardest thing I've ever done in my life way leave the 75th regiment. It was time but fuck it was hard no doubt. That's been several years ago but that shit is still in me and i miss my comrades everyday! Rangers lead the way! Sua Sponte👍
When you were in the Regiment did you have former Marines join you guys? If so, what was your initial impressions and was the hazing as bad as a fresh private would get? Lol
Lies
Not military, but my best friend was in 1/75 up until about a year ago. There weren’t any in 1st Bat that he knew of (lot of Marines in my family so was curious about this too, and asked him at the time), but he went through Ranger School with a few Force Recon guys (all three washed out of Ranger School). He did go to one of the Army specialist schools where he met a Green Beret who was previously a Marine and served in a Special Operations Capable MEU (Marine Expeditionary Unit), but he was never a Ranger.
Poland and USA, always together in battle ! Greetings
Well licked heinous pshek. 🤦
Have you spirit up for tonight at Defcon 4 with you.
That's how you clear rooms, for all the UA-cam warriors who say otherwise.

Nicely done. “Rangers, Lead the Way.”
I run pass 2-75th headquarter every day. Damn, their dogs bark so loud. And the night stalker is right across the airfield of the 2-75th headquarter. guess they do a lot of training together.

Hey man, I’ve been watching all of your excellent uploads, and I was wicked stoked when I saw you made one for the 75th! Top notch footage and audio (just like the others)! And the inclusion of the Ranger Creed in the middle - wow, that was sobering...
Some fascinating information on the history of the Rangers, if you’ve got the time:
The first “ranging” companies were formed as irregular units in Colonial New England during the 17th century (primarily in New Hampshire and Massachusetts) to combat the French and their Native allies during the many “French and Indian Wars” (the North American theater of the many wars raging in Europe) during the 17th and 18th Centuries. They consisted of Americans, Englishmen, Irishmen, Scots, Scots-Irish (Ulster Scots) and allied Natives, and used Native warfare and hunting tactics, which were much better suited to the heavily forested hills and mountains of Northern New England and New York than the line infantry tactics used in the large open fields of Europe.
The most famous of these companies were Massachusetts’ Gorham’s Rangers, formed by Cpt. John Gorham, and New Hampshire’s Rogers’ Rangers, formed by Cpt. Robert Rogers (who would codify the art of “ranging” in his manual and is considered the father of the U.S. Army Rangers). I highly recommend reading up on these two units and their founders - incredible stuff!
During The French and Indian War (Seven Years’ War), regular British regiments were sent to the colonies to aid the Provincial regiments in combating the French and their Native allies, as the French had a greater military presence in North America. Ranger companies were often attached to British and Provincial regiments as irregular auxiliaries to conduct special operations and provide light infantry support. The British high command in America largely detested the rangers’ ungentlemanly tactics, but after many defeats at the hands of the French in the thickly wooded forests of New York and Canada, they began to recognize their value on the battlefield. So much so, that they had a number of subordinate officers go on missions with ranger companies to work with and study them.
As Britain was primarily a naval power with a much smaller army than their continental counterparts, the knowledge these officers acquired from Rogers and the other Ranger Companies would prove invaluable and would have a profound effect upon the future of the British Army and its tactics and would help pave the way for many famous top-tier British light infantry and special operations units in the coming decades and centuries (Fraser’s Company of Select Marksmen, 95th Rifles, Commandos, SAS, etc), and semi/unconventional warfare would become something that the British military, as a whole, truly excelled at. As a result, the British were, time and time again, able to defeat vastly numerically superior forces, by hitting them where it hurt most (supply lines, artillery, HVTs, etc), often taking the fight out of the enemy before the fight even began.
The art of ranging would (largely) become abandoned within the U.S. Army during the 19th Century, as much of the fighting consisted of set piece line battles during the American Civil War and dragoon-style cavalry skirmishes during the Indian Wars. However, during the Second World War, the U.S. Army needed a permanent semi-conventional force to carry out special operations. So, they turned to the British Commandos to help train such a force, and the art of ranging within the U.S. Army was reborn. It had all come full-circle.
Since most of your videos are about British units, I feel safe to assume you’re British. So, I’ll say: normally, “thank you” precedes “you’re welcome”. But, in this case, “you’re welcome”, and “thanks”!
Keep up the great content, man! Subbed!
Thank you I appreciate it! :)

You put together some of the best military moto videos out there. It’s the combination of the dialogue from actual conversations mixed with the Eric music that makes them so great. It would be cool to see you do some for regular army and marine corps infantry units. Keep ‘em coming

"We were in a Humvee, with me in the back and him in the front seat. He turned and said, 'You know what, Irv?'
'What’s up, Sergeant?' After you kill a man, there’s no other feeling like it. Mark my words. You won’t want to do any hunting again. The excitement of that will be gone. I feel the best return on investment are Rangers. Hard hitting .. high tempo .. no bs .. sent in to get a specific job and out .. please don’t shot me but I think of them as greater than seals and even SF .. if I had a second chance at life I’d make my life goal to become a ranger
How old are you? It might not be too late
Could honestly be 40 and it wouldn’t necessarily be too late.
But to respond to the op, I totally agree. I’d take the 75th over the other two in a heartbeat if I had to pick. No better unit at direct action that can actually be employed at scale. Beyond that, they have a whole range of capabilities that they can employ. I mean no disrespect by this, but the more I’ve learned about other SOCOM units from my buddy who was in 1/75, SEALs especially are pretty overrated. Hollywood and the media have made them into something they’re not.
@bbanet789 SEALs are overrated. Now DEVGRU, No. Vanilla SEALs take credit for the tier one guys because the general public doesn't know the difference but in reality they are absolutely trash
I’m totally going to tryout fo the rangers
You don’t tryout!!! “YOU JUST DO!!!!!!”
Remember, “BRACE THE SUCK!!!” and take care of your most important body part, Your Wheels (FEET).
Stay Awake and “NEVER GIVE UP!!!” Don’t listen to the weak and whiners, they won’t last and they will take you down with them. They don’t want to be a the only sorry sack of, FILL IN THE BLANK - to be a looser by themselves. Stay motivated and take one task at a time and you will do it.

I am currently 28 years old looking to enter the military (it's always been a dream of mine). Is 28 too old to enter the military and train to hopefully be a part of the Ranger Regiment?
Nope, 28 is perfect. As long as your physically fit & morally straight you should be good to go!
I'm 25 and I'm wanting to enlist in january with a 68w option 40 contract. I feel age could help us from a maturity standpoint but I may be wrong. Maybe one day we can meet each other when we both get through RASP. Good luck man!
Update?
@@nickperry508 “maturity” is going to make the experience extremely unpleasant for you. I couldn’t imagine going in now. I’m also 28, but went through rasp at 19. It’s a young man’s game, unless you’re some kind of captain America type that’s body doesn’t age
These guys give the devil nightmares. And he's the devil.
Nice film. What's UK equivalent?
skygod1975 we only really have paras as elite infantry if you arent counting royal marines
I’d say Pathfinders, as they aren’t technically SF, yet fulfill a niche role, and have very similar capabilities.
Most likely SFSG as both the SFSG and 75th Ranger Regiment support tier 1 SF units like SAS, SBS, Delta, Devgru etc... Both units are known to have conducted joint training exercises together in the past due to the similarity between the units.
Rangers were modeled after Royal Marine Commandos in WWII. Having worked with RMs, the culture is more similar between them and Paras than it is 82nd.
Brutality is embraced in Roual Marines, Paras, and Ranger Regiment.
It is avoided and reprimanded in most of the rest of the Army.
@@LRRPFco52 I'd disagree about the brutality comment. Aggression maybe, not brutality. I'm ex Para reg.

Just out of curiosity. Does the us marine corp have an equivalent to the 75th?
Somewhat, they have the Recon and Marsoc Marines. Check them out
Kanutster marsoc are the equivalent of green berets ( tier 2 ) 75th are in the gray area in between elite infantry and tier 2 sf.
@@kennymedic58 The rangers have tier-1 subunits, just so you know, and have considerably more funding for direct action training than either SF, or MARSOC.
Yes Contrition is correct. The 75th Ranger Regiment currently conducts more Tier 1 Operations then most other units around the world. For a while the Rangers served on a Task Force alongside the SAS, SRR and Delta Force. Currently the 75th Ranger Regiment has killed/captured more High Value Targets then any other unit in the world. I would agree with you on the fact that Rangers are like Elite Infantry or "Shock Troops" in some respects, of course Considering Rangers are the only Special Operations Unit capable of conducting Forcible Entry and Airfield Seizure. But Rangers also possess a capability equal to most other nations Tier 1 assets. Rangers are very adaptable Operators that exceed the Infantry skills of other SOF while also excelling in Tier 1 Operations. Not to mention the 75th RRC which is a Tier 1 unit. You'd would be correct to assume that the Marine Corps does not maintain a unit equivalent to the 75th Ranger Regiment.
Marine Recon is the equivalent of the 75th as far as scope and mission goes. they both satisfy the role of light infantry/advanced reconnaissance.

Would love to be a ranger. Also have two mums and gender neutral. Can I get the badge?
No, but you’d make a great recruiting ad for the army…
