Well buddy speaking from someone who was previously army infantry I can say that the rangers are a cut above. However the route you take to get there may make you more work than necessary as some units won't send you to ranger school for retention purposes. Start with a ranger contract and build from there. If you want to be a ranger than you need to show commitment. Also judge the fail to pass ratio for yourself and understand what will happen if you fail ranger school.

@@russianbot5784 ranger school and Rasp are completely different. Ranger school is a leadership school. Rasp is the selection process to join the 75th Ranger Regiment. Ranger regiment is a special operations light infantry unit. Ranger school means you're ranger qualified and upon graduation you receive your ranger tab. Anyone can attend ranger school. upon graduation of rasp you receive a tan beret and scroll. The option 40 contract guarantees you a slot at RASP (ranger assessment and selection program). If you get an option 40 you will attend basic and ait. usually OSUT (one station unit training) from there you will attend RASP and the Airborne. upon completion of those you will get to your unit 1st,2nd, or 3rd battalion. After some time in the unit you will be asked to attend Ranger School. if you do not attend ranger school you will be asked to leave the regiment and be sent to a big army unit. RLTW!

Look into laser eye surgery/ corrective eye surgery. It is a private industry and therefore the cost goes down while the quality goes up every year due to competition.
