For people who say that calisthenics do not build muscles, this is because you do not know the basics of muscle building, which is to make the muscle under resistance of any kind, and this causes rupture of muscle fibers. As for the calisthenics, the forms of resistance and the application of gradual load can be in the following forms: practicing many reps and sets or making movements And very advanced exercises or the use of external weights or the use of the negative equipment method, all of this makes the muscle grow because we apply a gradual increase in the load on the muscle

Calisthenics alone will never get you to Toji's level. It's always best to mix in some gym, or at least free weights, for faster results. Or even better: Weighted Calisthenics. Weighted pull-ups are GOD TIER

What should we mix in with calisthenics? like is there a muscle that need to be in gym? That need to add in the program?

    • @Andres-iw1gq
      @Andres-iw1gq Рік тому +54

@@charl6966 there's some muscles really hard to work and isolate using calisthenics to mention a few: Side delts and legs. But in general, making progress is made much more easy in the gym. If a gym isn't an option for you, dumbbells or a Barbell are an excellent choice too. Mixing weights and calisthenics is the BEST thing you can do, not only to progress faster and look better, but to be stronger and healthier. I recommend two channels if you seek to research more about hybrid gym-calisthenics programs: "Natural Hypertrophy", "FitnessFAQs" and "Bald Omni Man", but there's many other options

I am 15 and have only went into beginner calisthenics I can also run 10Ks and 15Ks but my arms are lacking, I have visible but not so usable abs however from today onwards I will follow these workouts with some modifications while only doing calisthenics with completely no weights, I will try to update every month or so and even post photos on social media if I want to. If anyone is also trying to follow this routine, put in good effort everyone and I wish that your hard work can reward you! 7/24/2023
It has been about a week now, I've been burning at least 2,500 calories a day and eating about 2,300 I've lost 1 kg (I'm 51.7kg 5 foot 4) which I'm not sure if it's from burning fat or the calorie deficit (probably both) I've also been running at least 10km a day, boxing for 20 minutes a day, and going strong on the routine with an added bicep curl hang for my biceps, I've been doing push ups until failure and can feel the improvement in my triceps, and the dead hangs have definitely grown my forearms, my abs are also even more visible. I've also begun a no sugar diet to improve my productivity and am greatly enjoying this journey. Work hard everyone!
    8/1/2023
It's been a hot minute everyone and I've still been trying to go strong, I take a few AP classes so school has been keeping me busy but whenever I have the time I try to workout, people have been saying how "massive" my forearms have been lately I think they're slightly bigger but I am also sometimes quite vascular ( vascularity is due to genetics, not equivalent to strength). I haven't boxed in 3 weeks since my garage is undergoing renovation and that's where the punching bag is. But I can do 39 push ups clean in about a minute then to 50 if you give me rests between each push up. I can dead hang for 45 seconds but only can do 5-6 pull ups (I am trying my best to improve these), and that handstand... Anyways that's all for now, best of luck to everyone else!
    10/6/2023
Happy two weeks belated New Year's everyone! It's been a bumpy 2 months, balancing my school and life, my progress has been slowed down after getting COVID twice on back to back months... But of course that won't stop me! I believe in the process and that on days where you are at your worst, are the days where you truly test your will to improve and be consistent. This year I plan to do 60 push ups in 60 seconds, break 20 minutes on the 5k, and possibly get into a relationship. I can now do 30 push ups in 30 seconds with a 5 second rest to do 50 in 60 seconds, I haven't been timing my hangs but I can stay on there definitely longer than a minute now, I've also been getting back into shape after feeling horrible muscle fatigue when I was sick. I've also been training my back doing sets of 1 minute, 1 arm planks but will also try to incorporate some other back workouts. Anyways, life is never a linear path and I will encounter resistance but if I can make it through that, I will constantly be improving, not just physically, but mentally, socially, emotionally. Thank you to all those who spend the time reading through my log, and I am rooting for your life improvements too!!
    1/14/2024
It has been seven whole months, I won't lie, I haven't been putting everything on the table for these seven months, yes my physique looks decent but it is no where near what 210 days of hard work would've given me. I promise to come back and give it my all once again, I wanna make a change in the world, I want more people to live healthier, happier, and more able, and I heard a quote today saying "It's those that are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, the ones that do it." To everyone else out there, you can be that change in the world, let's do this.
    July 24th, 2024
I want to find myself, find what I can be and what I want to be, live how I want to be remembered and continue living in those memories. The work ethic I preach and practice is what I am, I will show you what I've got, no more excuses we have all the opportunities in the world, you tired? Go faster. You're skipping out on a rep? Go do that rep. It is those things that you dread to do that become a benefit for you, it explodes the potential of your greatness. Ask yourself who do you wanna be? There is no easy way, no hack, no short cut, it is doing it improving everyday until you become the best version of yourself. Struggle and struggle until you become a master. Show me what you've got.
    9/10/2024
I was feeling pretty bad today but I told myself to not be a loser, I once heard that the people who are successful are those who act even when they don't feel like it. Today I wanted to inch towards success. Added a few more laps in my warm up and surging on my long run. It started off as a bad day but I made it a good day! You'll always have to switch your mindset and focus back on your goals, if you start drifting away, TRY to grasp it once again.
I've been pretty locked in this week, feeling pretty sore everyday. I have a cross country race coming up soon and I MUST break 18:00 minutes. I also started helping one of my friends work out and she is trying to do her first pull up. I hope she can get it in at least a month! Good luck you boys (and Girls maybe possibly?). These are my numbers so far.
45 chest to ground push ups (CLEAN 1 SECOND NEGATIVE) within 90 seconds
25 Russian push ups 60 seconds
    9 fast pull ups
6 full ROM push up 3 second per rep
    4:58 marathon
    18:02 3 mile
    11:11 2 mile
    5:01 mile
Best of luck to you all! 🤞
    9/18/2024
It has been almost two months! I have started rock climbing and it has been really fun (doing it with many friends, a certain reader of this blog knows), honestly ive strayed away from the Toji Fushiguro training and started doing my own mix of calisthenics including hangs, muscle ups, wall assisted handstand push ups, chest to ground push ups, pull ups, and upside down sit ups, I honestly feel like I hit a plateu recently but it is just that I haven't been training hard enough, you know success doesnt come in one shot and I get that, so I told myself if I wanna be successful I gotta get back into routine and tell myself that I will never stop and even if I am I will always get back up! PHYSIQUE REVEAL COMING SOON??? 😮😮😮 Anyways, you guys got it, you always gotta root for yourself no matter what and if you stay consistent success with eventually come!! BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!

There is one God, who created Heaven and Earth. He made us in His image and likeness. He made us to worship and we chose to rebel against God. As a result we are seperated from God but God didn’t leave us. Instead God sent His one and only Son, His Son is Jesus. He was born of a virgin and lived a life without sin, though He was tempted in every way as we are. He went on the cross and He willingly took our sins past, present and future. Jesus died in my place for my sins, paying my debt to God and purchasing my salvation. Jesus died but He rose on the third day victory over satan, sin, demons and hell. Jesus tells us to share this story of the Good News and there’s a God that lovingly pursues us. Jesus is coming to judge the living and the dead and those who trust in God will forever be with Him in His Kingdom and those who do not will suffer forever in hell.

If there is anywhere you can find a bar or a ledge that you can pull yourself up, that would work best. The idea is to do a vertical pulling motion. Horizontal pulling motions like inverted rows on a table also hit the same muscle, so you can use those if vertical pulling is not a possibility for you

Hello! I am extremely thankful for this but I have some questions:
    1. Is this “outdated” in the sense that you no longer think this is useful for attaining Manga Toji’s physique since you uploaded a new one on anime toji?
    2. How many steps should I be getting a day for this program and should I do it everyday?
    3. Could I add athleticism training in this program? Such as plyometrics and other workouts that give me good athleticism like toji? (Explosiveness, power, and speed)

    • @BenWinney
      @BenWinney  Рік тому +1

It's not outdated - the physique you'll develop will probably be similar whether you follow the anime or manga routines.
A minimum of 10k steps per day is good. If you want to lose a lot of fat, 12-15k is even better.
And you can add athleticism like box jumps etc. I would do a few sets of this at the start of the main workouts before the lifts. This gets your nervous system firing so it's a good warmup as well as improving your explosiveness. You could also include another 1 or 2 workouts dedicated to athleticism throughout the week if you like

The main point of base building is to develop a basic level of cardio and muscular endurance, not to build muscle. I would recommend running base building first and then getting into these calisthenics programs.
