Most techs will double glove because you can contaminate the outer glove and just change it and still be sterile, which happens more than you think during draping, instrument tray sterility checking etc.... Also, it is a good indicator if you punctured your outer gloves, ie, most will put on a Blue PI inner glove and a white PI glove outer, that way you can tell if you tore/punctured your outer glove because you can see the blue through it.
In my school they dont let you have that white part being hanging like that, you have to kinda hide it in your hand so that makes it even more difficult 😞
Have you experienced your hands feeling kinda numb while you're double gloved? I think I may need to wear a size 7 on the inside and 6.5 on the outside?
Girllllll...I was taught “ thumb to thumb.” Then pull glove up and over hand. It’s worked for me😬
Haha that sounds the same to me!
This made my day!! Thank you so much. Blessing to you
Thanks for the video ! You’re the best. Patiently waiting for an episode 3 🥰
youtubes favorite scrub tech
Please explain double glove a little. The second pair goes over or under the ones you just put on? Are they sterile too? Thanks so much, love it.
Yes, all of this is sterile but for this video purposes, it's not sterile.

Correct. You can't expose it but this is for demonstration obviously I'm not sterile ❤️
Very great video

Excellent..

Yes! I wear 7 under, 6 top. I did 7 and 6.5 but my hands swells and I can't feel anything.
Awesome thanks for that! Do you double glove as well? And those gloves seem thin so do you prefer and thinner or thicker glove?
Yes, double always. I like thick under, thin under. Specifically eclipse on top
@@SURGICALTECHGEEK awesome very helpful! I’m interested in learning about different types of gloves and pros and cons of certain brands textures etc
thanks so much you are my favorite
how about open gloving? which one you prefer ?
Open glowing is when you're not wearing a gown. Most of the time we were a gown.
to me open gloving is harder because at least with closed gloving you can grab the gloves with the cuffs of the gown which are also sterile.
With the gloves you don't lose too much sensitivity during surgery you work well?
You do lose sensitivity. Great question. So then you'd have to pick thinner and stickier gloves.
@@SURGICALTECHGEEK Once worn gloves during surgery are comfortable and work well.
During intervention hands sweat inside the gloves
@@fioredigirasole9075 you can't tell that ur hands are sweating because they're a bit tight. Will explain more in my upcoming videos.
Omg I can’t believe I’m this earlyyyy 😎
