@@chanthana7694 I've had venison before. It's tasty and I bet it would taste great in here. Same thing with quail. I never had bison but I can imagine it's delicious! Thanks for sharing 😊

Love this dish, I’ve never used prohock for this dish, I will try it next time. Traditionally, Khmer food is not spicy like Thai or Lao food. However, we serve the peppers on the side, not mix it into the food. Now a day, the new Khmer generation love spicy food. Just curious, What is your nationality? Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing your recipe on top of your narration. I really enjoyed watching your presentation. I’m binge watching your channel now. Been wanting to make more khmer dishes.
Thank you for sharing this recipe. In my culture we make something similar. If you type in Picadillo tons of recipes will pop up. My family made it with hot green olives (I believe they are called picadillo olives or picante olives-not sure) that add the heat to the dish. Of course we use cilantro. Some recipes add tomato sauce but I prefer not to. Hope you give it a try. We are more alike than we are different. Have a pleasant weekend.
I just looked up Picadillo and it looks delicious. There are some similarities in the way it looks for sure. I'd love to try that one day. Thank you for sharing about your culture. I find many countries share similar kinds of foods and ingredients. It's fascinating. Have a great weekend.
I love your recipes but I've had trouble finding some ingredients at my local Asian grocery stores. Do you know any good online resources to order from?
Thank you! Which ingredients in particular? Sometimes Amazon and Etsy has vendors who sell most of these ingredients. Herbs might be in the dried form though. Southeast Asian Facebook groups like "Khmer home cooking, dessert, gardening and travels" also has verified members who sell many fresh items on there occasionally. There are also substitutions and things that you can leave out too.
What's your favorite variation of Cha Kroeung?
Try it with pork belly brother 🤙💯
@@jonison3878 oh that sounds delicious! Thanks for the suggestion
Sometimes I use quail but would like to try venison and bison. I bet it's going to taste yummy.

Your cambodiab pronunciation is on point just like the dish!
Thank you!
Right on point. Looks great. For merits/boon, I wouldn't mind making this dish to serve to the monks.
Thanks. Very nice video. It look attractive.
We do many variations of this using many meats. My mom also does frog legs, quail too.
Those sound delicious! I love quail too and will try it with that. Thank you for sharing.
Looks so yummy I'm drooling! I like that you used onion, will have to give this recipe a try.
Yes! It's so good with rice 😋
Everything look good except for the meat. When it come to Cha kroueng I would use frog leg or eel
My God, you're killing me. 🤤 I'm literally drooling and have no ingredients available to make it right now. Great job!
😂 Thank you so much!

I no cook cambudia too
Are you Nyaw?
No I'm not but I can understand some of the language too 😊
What's a good substitute for the long horn peppers?
Jalapenos would be a good substitute. Even bell peppers would work fine for a milder taste. Thank you 😊

I can never make the krueng right 🤦🏻♂️ I live in apartment 2nd level my white neighbors won’t like me using a mortar lol
Blender, food processor, or even the coffee grinder will work. Good luck!
