- This is a review of the Corona 2.4GHz "hack module" or DIY kit which can be used to convert almost any non-module-based FM system to 2.4GHz.

I used to own that plane at the end (well technically I still own bits of it), it was such a great aircraft and so fun to fly! Ended it's days with the nose buried in the dirt with the motor completely underground. Thanks for the great videos!
This module also works for AM! I have done it with an old Ace Nautical Commander. Any PPM radio seems to work.
oh my god you predicted corona lol
hi for your info i have know got a Corona CT8F 2.4GHz DSSS RF Module For Futaba Transmitter TZ-FM and fitted and fully tested it and it works fine with the Futada T3VC
Good catch on the antenna coax!
Why can't they put sma connectors on rather than the soldering route? I've seen solder jobs that look like lead confetti before , so another point for the average guy to stuff things up.
Not bad but was hoping to see more of the instalation ;-( but glad you spotted the fault on the antenna and after that looks like a good job, wouldn't mind getting hold of one of them for one of my older radio's 5*
hi bruce, i bought this diy kit and i am happy with it and i am planning to upload here on youtube my process. anyway HK doesnt have any stock of the DSSS version, is there any other Rx that works with this? any suggestions? thank you.
Onya Bruce, thanks for sharing.
Nice video! Will it be possible to do this conversion on the JR X2720 Synthesized radio? (On this radio you can choose what frequency you want to use).
Hey,
Thanks for this tip but does it also works with the Graupner fm 4014?
Thanks for the reply and i shall head over to the website shortley ;-)
i have been told to rather keep my radio on 35mhz as the corona is not the best quality. I would love to buy a new 2,4 radio but don't have the money, Is it a better option to save for a proper radio i have a trex450 sport?
can this same concept be used with the new orangerx transmitter module?
Can any one give me advice on fitting a corona 2.4ghz DIY module to an old futaba challenger , i just need to know were to solder the +v ,-v , and ppm wires.
can it work on an AM, non ppm, radio with no trainer port?
Hope can you verify if Corona 2.4 DSSS V2, actually operate on 3 Channel........hope you can verify this by using 3 seperate Signal Generator, and try to Transmitter on the same frequency as Corona.
Very informative, I like it !
which is better?the frsky's accst or this corona dsss?im going to buy either one of them for park flying,1.5km radius fpv flying and also for skyemasters rc jet,can anyone please tell me?
More than likely the exact same units, in different boxes. To fly chinese you must understand manufacturing. And the difference between "Manufacturer" and "Brand" Chevy and GMC are two brands with the same manufacturer, for example. To say one is higher quality than the other is just ignorant.
how do you range test the corona hack module? is there a button for that or sequence? unscrew the aerial??
Is this system legal in Germany??
YOU KNOW HOW TO CONNECT THAT DIY TO A AIRTRONICS CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES SINGLE STICK
i road race gokarts on the east cost i race the jr sprint classes
