@@dcmichosgaming7662 Yeah I totally agree. Their writing was phenomenal for the 2003 album. By far the band at the top of their game. The improvisation parts and extended bridges/outros of certain songs are also absolutely inspiring and brilliant during their ‘04 shows. It’s a shame the band broke up the way it did, but at least we got AVA and +44 which are both fantastic in their own way. And yeah, most of the evidence I can find through videos, etc. seems to show that they were all getting on relatively well right up until the end of 2004. The recording videos from ‘03 show no tension between them, and performances, backstage videos and interviews from 2004 show some exhaustion from the touring, but not necessarily any hatred between them right until their final shows, where you can often hear Mark being very passive aggressive towards Tom during the breaks between songs, and Tom sounding pretty angry. But I think blink fans often make the mistake that this was going on for a long time; yes there was a disconnection between Mark and Tom since Box Car Racer but it appears to me that they kept their friendship completely intact by not really talking about it. But yeah, blink around this time was the absolute best. I love these guys’ music. I wish i was old enough back then to see them live or really be part of this era. It’s a shame the bands pretty much gone to shit now.
@@oscar18034 They definitely started feeling tension around this time. According to Mark they actually prepared for shows in 2004 in different dressing rooms... now that's pretty sad.
Back here because the boys released extra songs from their "One More Time..." sessions, and "See You" reminds me SO much of what they're playing in this clip. The song sounds like it's from an alternate timeline where blink put out an album in '05/'06, and I'm in love with it.
@@13nothing69 violent soho have said blink 182 are one of their biggest influences. It's true if you listen to them. Also a fair bit of box car racer in violent sohos sound too.
Gonna disagree. It’s his amps that don’t work. The Gibson has a pretty heavy sound when ran through the mesa amps but now he uses those shitty vox amps
well considering enema, take off your pants and self titled were recorded using a mix of les pauls, tele's strats and SG's in thestudio... this statement is untrue
I liked travis as a boy and then I grew up. Your musical taste matures. You realize he plays teeny bopper music. Once I discovered The Mars Volta I never really looked back technically. I looked back as like " oh hey that song reminds me of high school " or whatever... Not like " oh Travis Barker is so skilled. Let me listen to him so I can learn some technique " lol He's good for what he does. Blink limits him. I feel like he's limited in aything he does. Hes kind of blah.
There can't be a greatest drummer and putting them in a list just takes away from there style of drumming, Travis is an excellent drummer who displays amazing technical ability and using the cymbals in ways that are more like a drum by putting them into his groves, no other drummer does this.
@@CooperRossum yes every drummer has their own style and whatnot. But to say that you can't list 5 of the greatest drummers is a little silly. There are clearly drummers who can smoke a good portion of the competition. Those are the drummers i would put into the category of "greatest"
this is one of my fav blink vids. would've been an absolutely beautiful song, even with no lyrics
Would have been amazing if they released something in 06 instead of breaking up.
@@timothym3777 tbf mark and Travis tried🤣
@@brendanterrell9817 The whole break up in2005 was a mess. You can't point a finger at any one person and say it was their fault.
This one clip is better than anything Blink has released since Tom left
fawk! I didnt want to agree with you but its pretty true. =(. Happy days is awesome though
Lmao 100% right
@@dcmichosgaming7662 they didn’t hate eachother or argue loads until late 2004.

Thats a tight snare.....
0:42: Ride cymbal has entered the chat.
This is still hands down one of my favorite Travis Barker kits/set up 🤘🏽
When Tom with them there's really soulful all of them

That ocdp kit is so sick 😫
No one talking about how great the quality of these videos are!
If you think about it, this sounds exactly like an AVA or a +44 song
I could literally see it being either or
Tom said the direction he wanted to take blink in was evident in Not Now, which I think is one of the best pre-hiatus blink songs.
im on repeat in this video, this deserve to be an official blink182 song :(
What a talent😱😱❤
N1!👍🏻
Beast
Headphone users beware
haha thank you:D

That snare Sound
Headphone users beware at about 0:45 😂😭💀
That's how you play a ride
you have to tell me where you get this video, its so awesome, best bllink 182 video ive seen in a while
could’ve been a great boxcar song
Travis's neighbors must hate him
velox or love him
Is the jenners I doubt they care but he does say “my neighbors gonna hate me” in the latest bose drum lesson video haha
at this point, i don't even think he has them
❤🎉
blink-182 2003
Baa sin mas...
Like👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎😎😎🇮🇩
Blink 182 is mark, tom, travis
0:49 - 0:53 sounds a bit like All Systems Go drum fill
@miniman1135 i'm pretty sure this is a kind of jam version of a box car racer song, i think "The End With You"
I think they are playing "Dope Calypso" of Violent Soho.
@@13nothing69 that song did not exist yet
Nah. This is something they came up with on the spot

Anyone know anything about the guitar here? Clearly an es335, but unfinished/unpainted neck/headstock??
song?
Anyone tab this?
year?
What is the name of the song??
Why this song name
Lars called, said u may keep his st. Anger snare. 😂
Anyone who knows the title of this song?
His snare is so god damn choked
Plus, everything sounds extra choked because he holds his sticks too tight.
Does anyone know how to get this guitar tone
A mistery we will take to our graves
Do it bro !
Anyone knows this chord?
I know if u still need :)

Keanu Assange this was from 2003 so no, they weren’t. Lol
*BREAKING NEWS* - Foo Fighters have announced that Blink182 drummer *Travis Barker* has replaced late Taylor Hawkins.
Lol
messi?
Blink would have been nothing more than a garage bang without barker
Well considering Dude Ranch placed in the Top 200 and went Gold before Travis joined, that’s just false lol
Their 4 album before Travis joined is golden bro, stop dick riding
Snare drum sounds like the inside of a metal trash can. God
Toms gibson/epiphone does not go well with blinks music..the guitar has a completely different sound than a fender strat.

Travis was my role model at high school too, I feel same way about him. I love songs with strong drums now
Lol
He's actually pretty skilled tf you're talking about
he’s a very low skill. it’s forced and not fluent, just cuz u play harder and louder does not make u better.

🤮🤮
He's good, but not one of the greats.
hes better skill wise than the greats XD
