I'm not usually a fan of this ecru-brown palette, but you made this so interesting with texture that I'm willing to try it. Beautiful!
The beauty of this type of journal is that the colors can be changed per preference and the finished projects offer looks YOU prefer!
I love lace. Can I just say thank you for not flapping your hands in the beginning!! I know sounds weird but it drives me crazy when people do that. Reminds me of a duck!! Hope I made you laugh!

Fantastic work, I am currently trying to make a book to house the bits of lace I made, at the moment they are in bags. I will not be chopping them up but you presented some adorable ways to pocket them and use the tiny bits. Wow I am blown with your journals, I've never made one, this is a super video to begin with. I'm happy to hear that you gained some ideas and I agree.... I would not chop up the lace you have lovingly created! Most of what I find and salvage are bits and pieces and sections that are badly stained or torn. Happy journal making to you!

The little fold downs with envelope tops, maybe Gayle flip down, i use a lot along with the accordian fold with the paper closure. I cant wait to get back to my cottage and add lace to the envelope flaps. That was truly beautiful!

Thank you and yes to both questions. The #JunkJournalJanuary challenge is an annual event hostessed by Megjournals. The prompts are shared and printable on her YT and instagram accounts. And, I have a few different videos sharing how I make/use/close the transparency windows.
I totally get it. We use items to balance each other. It’s just that now, you are spotlighting the lace. I have my lace stored for different styles of journals. Grungy lace in one box. Vintage in a different box. Doilies in their own drawer. It helps me to sort them that way so I don’t fall down the petting lace rabbit hole.

What an incredible stash of lace, papers, doilies, etc., you have, my dear. It must have been started 20+ years ago, spending time at flea markets, antique shops, and thrift stores. I wanted to thank you for this challenge. I participated, and so much enjoyed it. I went into it thinking this would help clear out some space. However it has sparked an interest in antique and vintage lace. In particular forced me to draw from my creative side. Some of the pieces I thought of as garbage I needed to clear out, instead turned out as beautiful ephemera. I made a family member a bee journal, and I had a difficult time going through the actual gifting of it. I so fell in love with how the little bits of lace enhanced the entire journal. Anyway. Thanks for all the learning opportunities you and other you tubers supply. It means so much and really enriches my life.

Your lace journal is gorgeous! There are so many fantastic inspirations for using lace in this video. I will visit it again and again. I love using lace and am always looking for new ways to use in my journals. My grandmother made a pillow cover using the silk yo-yo’s she made. Whenever I see it or yo-yo’s I think of her. Brings back many memories.
