- This is the start of the promised Little Bits of Lace idea book series. I intend to share items made using lace and lace scraps and I hope other junk/art journal era and crafters join in. Additionally I’m using the prompts for Junk Journal January from Megs Journals and I’ll link her channel and intro video below. Finally, I’m determined (my 2023 word) to rediscover many of the treasures in my craft room and to discover new ways to use those items. The gorgeous lace paper is from the latest newsletter from Tracie Fox Creative, and her channel is also listed below. Thank you for watching and I hope you decide to join the fun and inspiration. Yes, please, #LittleBitsofLace2024, it is!! Even though I hardly have any lace to work with….and if you believe that, I’ve got some ocean front property in Montana I’d like to sell you! 😂. Seriously though, this sounds like lots of fun! My word for 2024 is “unhoard”, so this will be my way to unhoard my lace collection! It’ll be fun to see your ideas, which I have no doubt will be wonderful! As well as going off on my own tangents. Can you tell I’m excited! Love you, my friend, and wish you all the best in 2024!! 😘❤

This sounds like a fun project to work on this year. You have a lot of lace but I think I have you beat-I have some of my larger pieces in one of my filing cabinets. It is fun to go through and pick out pieces for different projects.
So very cool. I've often thought how fun it would be to do a lace swap... but then again, hard to select the most beautiful bits to send and share! Happy , creative 2024 to you!

Just wanted to tell you that you had made some needle books with a lot of lace and canvas years ago and they are my favorite needle books ever. Love your style and creativity. I love lace and doilies too.

I told myself no more resale shopping until the craft room is completely organized and I use half of the stuff I already have... 😂🤣😂gosh I just make myself laugh, but I am trying to be more selective when resale shopping 🤔
Maybe reward yourself... when you use some thing(s) from your organized stash you can treat yourself to a bit of resale therapy 😊

Cori it’s a good thing you and I aren’t thrifting buddies as I pick up lace and linens all. the. time. at thrift stores and garage sales. Then I struggle to use them as they are so pretty. Thus I have totes full! Just the inspiration I need to start using them more. Thanks for that shove as I definitely need it. I love using lace in clusters and it’s my go to for mindless creating. I'm all primed and ready to go with it too and would love to incorporate lace in my pages. I have 2 journals I'm going to work in. Happy New Year, Corey. Hope it is a great one for you! Can’t wait to see this new series….I do not have much luck at thrift stores, but I do have a huge collection of vintage laces and linens. I am starting to use them, as they are not doing any one any good sitting in a box. I have decided to enjoy them by using them. Take care of yourself, but I do look forward to any video you are able to post.

This is going to be a fabulous series and a great way to use up all our little lace scraps. I spent a couple of hours on Saturday sorting out several messy bins of fabric and lace scraps so very happy to have something g fun planned for 2024

No need to feel dumb Lorie!! There is a definite learning curve with social media. When you share your creations via FB, Instagram or YT ( I know nothing about Twitter, so not sure if it works the same way there) just use that hashtag, #LittleBitsofLace2024 in your title and it will be flagged. That way anyone who searches for posts that fit that criteria will be able to find and see your work 😊
