Great review. The FXE seems to be an amazing commuter bike. Cant beat a comfortable riding position,

I was really impressed with how comfortable it was to ride. Loved this bike

Thanks for the comment, I started out wanting to say it was inferior to the S, so was really surprised how much I liked it, if only it had better range

I test drove one last year and it was incredible, I was completely blown away by it...I then test drove an S 14.4kw and the eco mode was so slow, I only enjoyed the last part in Sport. I would get the FXE but after much research the battery range of 50-60 miles just isn't great for me..
I now have my eye on a DS and I am hoping the up right riding position will be similar to the fxe but just offer that bigger range...I know it will be sluggish in eco mode

Use of the custom mode on the DS gets you away from the lack of performance in eco, but still get great range, sport has little to no regen, which is good on the motorway as you get freewheeling so don’t lose momentum but not in town as you want as much regen as possible. The DS is a great bike as a compromise between the dynamics of the S and the riding position of the FXE.

Its range is 70 in perfect conditions too. I need something with ~100mile range or Id get it.

Yup, the Zero S has a range of circa 150 miles but is more expensive and a heavier bike. IMO 70 miles is too small as the bike starts to reduce the power at 10% to save battery, and charging it every day will reduce the battery life. But it’s one hell of a bike for an A1 supermoto.
