A year ago, I lost my way in Oslo. I was looking for a hostel and somehow I met Roy Khan by curious coincidence. OMG, how I wished to meet him and how many questions I would ask. Maybe I could give him my CD or USB drive... but wait, Gosh! I'm in middle of traveling, I don't have any of them.
Unfortunately, I couldn't ask him that much because he was holding his son while he was talking through his cell, probably his wife, it seemed he was insanely busy.
Well, I had to settle for a picture with him. There would be a next chance some day, I will have been asking questions as much as I want.
After Khan left the music industry, I got shocked. There are so many his fans out there but I'm sure that none of them was as sad as I was. Because he is the one who totally changed my life.
This is the song, "Can You Remember?", which swept my mind at that time. I cannot even count that how many times I sang this song. Nonetheless, it's not that famous one among Kamelot songs. Probably, because it's a hidden track and also it has bad recording quality, though it doesn't change the fact that it is amazing song.
I always wanted to make a cover with studio level of recording, however, I'm not good enough piano player, so it took many years to complete the instrumentation.
Today, I filmed this video just to praise his name. I believe it's very good song to share with anybody.
Maybe some of you guys would say that I'm talented but I just made so many efforts on it through several years. If you liked this, the reason must be the original is already good. Try his version now :D

I can not compare you to Tommy, my dear friend, as you are much more emotional when you sing. I can try to compare you with Khan at his best years. I don't know if anyone told you how clear and bright your voice becomes when you sing from the depth of your soul. And here I am listening to your voice, how it was years ago, knowing what you are to become. Good Luck! You can rise higher then you can see in your wildest dreams! Just keep your eyes at the stars!

I discovered Kamelot and Roy Khan this February so I guess I'm quite lucky: I didn't have to feel sad for Roy's leaving and wait long years for his return. I'll just enjoy his songs (and awesome covers) while waiting for Conception's new album.

@MrOctoKing I don't know how good you're at singing, but if you want something or want to be someone, then believe yourself. Nobody can decide your future except you. For me, the most difficult part has been persuading my family and I still can't find the answer for it. I've been just persistently practicing, making music, and asking them allow me to sing.

@royalhunt0603 Well, I'm not that good at speaking Japanese tho, I sort of understand what you're talking about. Royal Hunt is one of my favorite song and actually, I've planned to make cover song of them. So which song would you want me to cover from Royal Hunt?

The album was pretty darn good in my opinion. MUCH better than Poetry for the Poisoned. I think people are just having a hard time adapting to Karevik. His vocals are definitely different, but he does have some emotion in his voice, and he does the old stuff justice.
I still miss Khan though :P

@MrOctoKing THis is how I practiced. Recording my voice then comparing with the original. I think the best teacher is in your favorite album. If you are brave enough person, buy an audio-interface, headphones, and mic. That's fucking worth of raising good singer.

since we are at the topic disney right now, what i was wondering is could you do a cover of the hercules song "i can go the distance"? the original is ok, but nick piterra made a cover where he sang it in a lower tune, and it sounded awesome. i think with your voice it will sound even more awesome.
