Also, I do know a Phlebotomist that works a LOT of overtime because there's a huge shortage. So you can make really good money base pay at $18 an hour. But overtime is $27 an hour. Always remember that!

I started yesterday! Today was my first day at actually drawing blood. I worry about hurting people and need to make sure I get the needle in far enough…but we’re also using donated tubes where the vac isn’t always the best. I sit here tonight with bruised arms and appreciate this video!

I'm a CNA working and making $15 an hour. This job is tough. I can do it, but I want something different. I'm thinking about signing up for the Pharmacy Tech program, and in that I can add Medication Aide, and Phlebotomy if I want. And I'm going to add it because I love the idea of having multiple lanes open. These jobs pay low, but they can pay high too.

My game plan I just got out of the hospital for a burst appendix I enjoyed watching the nurses do what they did to me and now I want to go back to school to become an RN and work in the ICU both adult and children but I want to start out as a phlebotomist and work in the hospital and work my way up to RN!! Out of all my hospital stays this is the first time that I felt something telling me to go back to school and become a phlebotomist. I took the practice test yesterday to become a phlebotomist and the got 40% of the questions right and 50% wrong I was surprised because I have very little education in this. Thank you for the advice.

I was very smart in school. Dropped out in 12th(dumb i know). Had kids. Got my GED last year. I am 26 years old and want to either get a CNA or do phlebotomy im still lost and dont know how to choose where to to go with life. Crazy stuff. Great video!

Yes yes yes life is definitely hard until you understand or find your purpose.
Out of these two choices I would choose phlebotomy 💉
It’s way easier on your body
In CNA you will get way overworked & less pay 💰

I am a CNA, and I am gonna do Phlebotomy too. I was a dropout too but I did my high school diploma recovery (my state offers that). CNA is a brutal gig, but I am going PRN to make some extra money if needed. I paid CNA full $950.

I have been to some Quest/Labcorp offices for Blood Work myself & it honestly don’t seem bad. Most patients are on a scheduled basis which makes it better.

Can you tell us what schools to go to in northern california? Not alot of schools are accredited.

I have a lot of respect for X-Ray but I been doing it for so long that I am slowly trying to get into something new.
I’m a pathology medical assistant at a dermatology office right now at 17hr in West Virginia . And I’m looking to change my career up there’s nothing really to move up in this dermatology field and the pay is not really moving either . Thank you great video. I’m thinking about this or LPN .

Maybe if possible try to expand your job search to 30 mins or even 45 mins from when’re you live.
@@juanmotiva8s959 Yes, I'm going to look several places away from home. Thing is the job postings all say 6 months to 1 year experience needed. I don't have that and the challenging part is everything is done online it seems. No really a chance to meet and speak with a real person.
I have this video interview for Quest to complete but it's kinda weird because it's ran by AI, not a real person and you have to answer questions on the spot while being recorded. I feel nervous and like I may screw it up.
