Girl! I’m in this position. I’m 21. About to be a first time mom in 5 months. I’m currently working at Walmart right now hating every second of it because I can’t find anything catches my eye! My family keeps saying how I keep switching fields… I just can’t do school that takes 2+ years. I’m interested in doing this phlebotomy classes that takes about 2 months.
@@kenzhampton7473 don’t let people try to pressure you to just go to school. I went to college straight out of high school. I went for 4 years. I think I just needed one or two more years. But I realized I was doing school because everyone was telling me I had to. And I realized I didn’t even want to do what I was studying anymore. @@theempressseries yes ma'am! There's pros and cons of course, you have to be really mindful, very strategic because you're the heart of saving lives. I set up hospital to hospital transfers, rides to appointments, and took 911 calls which can be very scary and you gotta be quick on your toes. When I get a chance I'll try and do a video, but if you were to ever get into it I think you'll be perfect, especially since you're already in healthcare. I'm in the class for two weeks, exam then externship. So I'm definitely going to take your advice!
everything you said gave me courage and inspiration you a truly a beautiful human bein and a great UA-cam I wish you luck and thank you for this video. I'll definitely subscribe and follow
Omg I can’t believe you said you also want to become a clinical lab scientist 👩🔬 Im planning on starting the phlebotomy program this summer wish me luck🙏 I was almost ready to transfer to a university to complete my bachelors for CLS but I decided to take a break from school to spend quality time with my 4 year old son and I decided I can just work my way up. I wish you the best and I hope you make it!!! Thank you for inspiration ✨❤️
Omg 😆 I’m finding it to be extremely challenging haha however, I won’t give up! Thank you for your support. I think it’s awesome you’re focusing on on your son. Being a mother is a full time job and so rewarding.
@@migdaliaperez1204 it’s going great for me actually. I work for a doctor rn but I’m looking for a job closer to where I live. If you really wanna go back to phlebotomy then do it!
I want to be phlebotomist!!! I'm so busy working service jobs. I need benefits I need a real job. I've been managing a restaurant since I was 18... I'm 22. I'm amazing at it... I hate confrontation though so that's my weakeness..... BUT I am in school.... one semester away from applying for nursing school. but I need a job that isn't so demanding like being a manager and phlebotomist sounds like the right move
Love Yah yessss I definitely recommend starting off as a phlebotomist first and then a nurse so you can practice with blood drawing! Look in your career you got this!
Loved this video. I just dropped out of community college bc of just a lot of things going on and I really think I want to do the phlebotomy program at my school next year
Im 29 currently a cna but here literally i wanna try something different. Been looking into phlebotomy but im nervous because im a slow learner and when i was doing my cna classes i got made fun and talked about by my classmates.
No! Trust me! It’s an upgrade! You’ll thrive! It may be nerve racking but your teacher I’m sure will take their time with you and it’s smaller classes than cna. Trust the process and know that you’re not alone.
Hi! Thank you for this video ❤ you’re an awesome wonder mommy! I would like to know where did you get your immunity testing? Or how or where can I get one instead of getting the shots?
@@theempressseries thank you! I was supposed to start april 6th but because of the Corona virus its been pushed back, my school doesnt know when they'll start again 😭
Damn that price sounds abt what my community college charges. I decided to enroll in the vocational school instead for dual ekg/phlebotomy for $500. When I saw the cost my jaw dropped. I have to buy my own books and uniforms though.
Wow. Just finished class in FL. The final class exam had questions we NEVER went over. I heard the Medca was going to be easier than our final class exam. Because of covid I can't seem to find out about internships. And I know I won't get paid. I'm a single mom who just got divorced with zero income. I don't have time or resources to wait 3 months to "work" & not get paid. Wish I knew this beforw I spent my stimulus $$ instead of using It on my rent.
Ask your school about internships at any hospitals or doctors office’s don’t give up and if you have to call around to labs in hospital and ask to talk to there directors and see if you, then, or your school can create a contract for phlebotomist to come do your internships/externships . If no one is available for Externships due to covid ask your school to let you complete your 40-50 draws on students instead of a hospital or doctor office.
I got a B.A. in healthcare Administration and im currently in a phlebotomy program. No one would hired me even with my B.A. cause of no experience. I think phlebotomy will help me in the door.
In phlebotomy school my specific school didn’t go by subjects dear just a phleb book of steps and definitions. Definitely noted though thank you for your feedback. Have a blessed day!
Hey, beautiful! May I ask why you chose phlebotomy over a 911 dispatcher? I am literally stuck between chosing between these exact two jobs. I don't know if they're the most common jobs people are drawn to or it's a HUGE, divine coincidence that I have found someone that was interested in both of the options I am considering❤❤❤❤ thank you for sharing this video! So helpful!
It’s actually good to have both licenses I keep seeing jobs on indeed if you have a medical assistant license and your phlebotomy license they pay $25-$40 and up in California
You're such an inspirational queen! Blessings to you & I appreciate the encouraging words of advice! Im going to begin classes in July..very excited about it..Wishing All here the very Best of Luck here!! Blessings 🌸🙏🌸 Kudos #Freya
I was afraid too !!!! I was 4 months pregnant when I was in school 🏫 and extremely nervous. My teacher gave me a pep talk and said that pregnant Women produce alot more blood 🩸 due to your fetus growing and that you will be okay. Perhaps make a suggestion to your teacher and ask out loud if it’s okay students draw your blood? I was fine. I just made sure that I drank plenty of water, ate lots of veggies and fruits before class.

I went to AUMT 4 years ago. It costed I believe don’t quote me $2,500 and I’m sure they are lenient with payment plans. Double check call around and see what school is your best fit!
🥳🙌😅🤣 ahhh it was such a nerve racking experience! Lol But it got easier every day afterwards… now I’m working and I see like 40+ patients a day… easy peazy! Lol good times!

That's ironic,I was a dispatcher for 3 years and now I'm about to take a phlebotomy class,I'm nervous, I haven't been in school dang near 8 yrs
Really?!! Wow how’s it like being a dispatcher talk to me tell us? Make a UA-cam channel give us some good info love!!! School is a breeze flashcards or sheets of paper for notes 📝 quiz yourself every night study every single night you got this keep a positive mind! There’s nothing you can’t achieve!
So I'm definitely going to take your advice!
how much did you make as a dispatcher
This video is breath taken i needed this push and encouragement. God bless you.❤
🥲🥹♥️thank you
i’m In Houston going to start phlebotomy soon and literally want to go back to school to be a CLS myself lol. wish you luck ❤

Subscribed literally when you mentioned Dr. Sebi, new subbie for sure ; 💜
Yassss thank you love!
I so needed this!! Thank you so much!!! ❤️🙌🏽
Love the video! Do you have any info on getting the antibody tests done instead of the vaccines?
Omg!!! I start November 15!!! I'm super excited to start!!!
I'm in love with you're hair!!!!
I’m leveling up for me and my daughter. I’m excited but nervous too. I start Monday 😊
Same here except for my son lol... but Im looking for a right school
Excited for you!!!! Tell me how it goes!

erin brown you got this it’s really easy once you get the hang of it!
I Just passed my phlebotomy test with a score of 401!!
What the test hard ??? I'm about to start school.
marisela hernandez Test is hard if you do not study if you study you will get an outstanding store! Good luck!!!!!
Congratulations
@@theempressseries are you talking about the test before start school class?? I’m about to start school class but I’m worried about Math.
I love your video. You have such a awesome outlook.
You're gorgeous and congrats on becoming a pholobotomist!! I'm thinking about that path too, but am somewhat nervous to start.
Hi! Thank you for this video ❤ you’re an awesome wonder mommy! I would like to know where did you get your immunity testing? Or how or where can I get one instead of getting the shots?
I been working around 7 years doing Dental Asistant and i love helping people! Is just feel like because my accent isn’t good.
It can be challenging at times. Don’t give up on any goals you have if you need help with improving. Don’t get discouraged.
Thank you for all your helpful information ℹ️ you’re so gorgeous !!! Good luck I am subscribing! Keep us updated!
Leah Cruiz thank you love!!!

You’re awesome 👏🏾 thank you for your advice.
LOVE YOUR ENERGY!! How long did the course last? When did you do your lab during covid?
Well thank you I appreciate you watching! I believe it only lasted 3-4 weeks, and it was before covid love.
I’m a make thinking about doing this something about you and how u explain it got me super calm
Damn that price sounds abt what my community college charges.
I decided to enroll in the vocational school instead for dual ekg/phlebotomy for $500. When I saw the cost my jaw dropped. I have to buy my own books and uniforms though.
Oostdyck you got this good luck with your career love
@@theempressseries thanks!! I just graduated last month with a 4.0!!!!
I fell in love with phlebotomy. I’m already interviewing!!
It definitely would help especially on your resume!
Omg this is so helpful since I’m in the same SoCal area, thank you so much!
You’re welcome my dear !!!!
It might be helpful o tell exactly what subjects you have to take and explain a little more about each one of those….
In phlebotomy school my specific school didn’t go by subjects dear just a phleb book of steps and definitions. Definitely noted though thank you for your feedback. Have a blessed day!
Great information am really learning and taking note . Your are an inspiration!!!! You look amazingly beautiful 😍 . God bless you 🙏
Hey, beautiful! So helpful!
What to look out for when looking for schools?
I'm happy for you i start on the 17th this month
🎉♥️
I love my job .. ❤️ keep at it beautiful... There will be hard days and hard times but it will be all worth it. ❤️
Thank Goddess
You would make an AMAZING instructor!
Genifer Carmean Thank you!
You’re so beautiful sis awe 🥰 go you , proud of you ☺️
Thank you for this video I'm in the middle of deciding MA or phlebotomy
It’s actually good to have both licenses I keep seeing jobs on indeed if you have a medical assistant license and your phlebotomy license they pay $25-$40 and up in California
😍 lord how mercy why don’t you have more subscribers? Also, loved the video
Awww well thank you ☺️ and idk ask UA-cam lol 😆
I am watching this here to figure out if I want to become a phelebotomist or a Pharmacy Technician.
Keep doing your research 🔬 if you need anything lmk :))))
@@theempressseries thank you!😊
You're such an inspirational queen! Blessings to you & I appreciate the encouraging words of advice! Im going to begin classes in July..very excited about it..Wishing All here the very Best of Luck here!! Blessings 🌸🙏🌸 Kudos #Freya
Thank goodness for your words of light! May you go above and beyond I’m rooting for you! 🥳
I'm am very afraid of the other students drawing my blood. I'm pregnant and I think I will pass out lol
I was fine. I just made sure that I drank plenty of water, ate lots of veggies and fruits before class.
lam really encouraged to see this video, l do started already reading and following you all chapters but l need to know how much it gonna coast me to complete this course, and how l can register because l do tried but l didn't, please l need to do until l make it thats my wish,Tnanks
I went to AUMT 4 years ago. It costed I believe don’t quote me $2,500 and I’m sure they are lenient with payment plans. Double check call around and see what school is your best fit!
omg girl I'm going to aumt in Temecula too!! we did have to draw blood on the first day😭
🥳🙌😅🤣 ahhh it was such a nerve racking experience! Lol But it got easier every day afterwards… now I’m working and I see like 40+ patients a day… easy peazy! Lol good times!
Hie gal.l am a care assistant ,l did phlebotomy just waiting for the advanced one.I did the face to face 1 day training after theory training.Looking forwad to work in the NHS, can you help me with a guideline of what books to read and how to get about it.Am in the UK from Africa
I’m 39 and starting classes next month. For years I’ve alternated between staying at home with my kids and working in offices but now I’m ready for a career. Good luck to everyone on the same journey!!

YOU ARE STUNNING
prettydread aii thank you beloved I am a reflection of you 🦋
what book do you have and is it best to go on and buy it before hand, class doesn't start until next month 17th
I’ didn’t graduate high school how do I go to school for this? What steps do I take ? Im a single mom and want better for myself so badly
Liza C Proud of you Queen! I do believe you have to have a high school diploma and/or GED. Call your local phlebotomy schools 🏫 nearby and ask them the requirements. Work that plan you got this!
I don’t have a ged or a high school diploma. I start ged classes April 29th! They told me all I needed to do at my local community college was take a reading placement test and score a 237 or higher. I studied. I haven’t been in school in so long. I’m 37. I scored a 259! College level reading. I couldn’t believe. Contact your local community college. You got this 💪💪enrollment here for phlebotomy starts next week!
