Thank you for posting this. I can't tell you how much value I got from this. As a small note of encouragement, I actually find your voice smooth and engaging. I don't know what you feel the need to improve on, but please keep at it!
What Vixia do you use? I bit the bullet and purchased a Vixia G50 refurbished from Canon, and gave up the webcam process in favor of recording 4k on the Vixia and the audio through a MOTY Mw into a DBX286 and recorded in Screenflow. I then insert the SD card into the MacMini and sync the video to audio which is super easy and allows for editing and adding text and other things. I wouldn't go back to a web cam. Stay tough!
Yes. Just look for a HDMI to USB adaptor. And on your recording software it will show up as USB video or something close to that. Good luck and if you have any more questions I'll do the best I can.
I'm using a VIXIA HF R800 just like yours. I have it plugged in to AC power, and my intent is to use it as a webcam. Problem is that, unlike the battery which just times out and shuts the camera down, when it's on AC it times out by going to a promo blurb of all that the VIXIA can do, and no longer shows the image that the camera is pointing to. I'm NOT recording, the camera is just on before eventually going to the promo. Have you experienced that, and if so, where you able to fix it? Thanks for your tutorial.
I am having a bloody time getting my Vixia HF R32 to play nice with OBS, RTX Broadcast or my HDMI Switch and my PCI-e 4K HDMI capture card. any suggestions would be welcome.
@@CaneMajor I finally got a proper Aver Media capture card. which fixed nearly everything. I was using a POS DigitNow PCI-E capture card that was well a POS, got the HF R32 working via a USB capture Card (also a DigtiNow but it's working finally. sorry for such a late reply, I've been in the hospital 3 times since Dec 2022. thanks again for replying willing to help
Go little bit more easy on yourself. I didn't notice that you were uneasy talking in front of the camera until you told me so. In my opinion, you are doing just fine.
Looks fine. Your lights look a bit "hot" on you though. I hope you can send the other one back for a refund. Good luck. Peace Tea? I'll have to look that up...LOL..
Thanks a lot for this video... it's what I'm trying todo .
You have a fantastic voice!

Nothing wrong with your narration skills, IMO. 👍

Your narration is excellent
Hi does the mic on the camera work when using it this way?
Hello! I'm not sure! Let me check! Yes it does! Thanks for the question!
@@CaneMajor Thank you for the answer and great video, is the adaptor easy to find online?
Yes. Just look for a HDMI to USB adaptor. And on your recording software it will show up as USB video or something close to that. Good luck and if you have any more questions I'll do the best I can.

There is a setting on the camera to turn off demo mode.
Thanks, just what I was looking for.

Thank you sir! I'm still working on it and I do think I'm improving. Cheers.
Your speaking is not bad at all. Keep practicing.
