Great! Yeah it’s a nice suv! Plenty of space. Great value for money where space and power is considered. May only be a 4 cylinder turbo but it does move quick when you want it to
next time, hand tight is all you need when applying a new filter. (when your hand can't tighten it no more, stop right there no need to tighten it even more)
I usually do first oil change on my brand new Toyota vehicles at 750-1,000 miles range. The second one would be at 5,000 miles and every subsequent oil change at 5,000 miles. It is your vehicle, do your maintenance as you like. Perhaps you should consider buying another type of oil filter though. That orange can of death is something. If you cut it open, you'll see what I am talking about. Thanks for the video clip.
@@Erikzapp down here in the U S of A Fram it is the cheapest option to get because of its low quality poor filtering. mobil one and k&n are the best by far IMO
@@Erikzapp Over here in the US, that kind of Fram oil filter is know as "the orange can of death" due to its poor quality filtration and overall poor built quality. There are two things that are good about that filter in particular; price point and that nice grip at the bottom of the filter. And that is about it when it comes to good stuff. The filter media is extremely porous and pleats are far between, end caps are made of paper material, bo bypass valve and questionable anti-drain valve instead of silicone one. If you like Fram products, I would highly recommend Titanium, Endurance, and Ultra Synthetic. My favorite ones are Purolator Boss, Wix XP, Royal Purple, Fram Endurance Purolator One, Mobil extended performance, and OEM along with Pentosin for oils like Valvoline Restore and Protect. Next time you change oil, cut that filter open and see for yourself what it is made of. Meanwhile, there are numerous videos on UA-cam about that and other filters you can check. I don't understand you. You get a cheap filter, over tighten it but torque the drain plug. Oil filters go on hand tight. This isn't a diesel truck. Also make sure you switch back to Ow-16 so you dont void your warranty and save your receipts with date and mileage as proof. Oops. This is 2.4 turbo. I thought it was the 2.5 NA. You're fine with Ow20
Here In Canada Fram has a better name than there in the US. But I hear what y’all are saying and will definitely go OEM or mobil next time. I’d have hand tightened it but it was really really tight to begin with when I took it off. 0w20 was recommended in the owners manual for my GH.
When your draining fluids from a vehicle. I'm not convinced that your vehicle should be at a tilt angle. Not sure if you're even getting all the old drained properly,.
Did you put oil on the filter seal? Hand tight with the oil filter Using anything other than hands risks distorting the filter And for goodness sake a fram filter like why? Oh and get proper wheel chocks 😅 But don’t listen to me what do I know😅
@@Erikzapp put oil on the oil filter seal and because this is a new car under warranty get an OEM filter also need a new crush washer for the drain plug Hand tight for filter installation it usually says on the filter how much more to turn by hand eg 3/4 turn or whatever After some driving check for leaks It is better under warranty to have a dealership paper trail for at least the recommended oil change intervals Once out of warranty just do as you see fit But hey I am just some random guy on UA-cam
In the market for this vehicle. Thanks for showing the front jack point. I also like to do my own oil changes

What do you do with the used oil ? Curious
Here in London canada we have enviro-depots where you can take the oil (along with many other things) to recycle.
Never use Fram buddy. Literally made of cardboard. It’s why it’s cheap. I would use Mobil oil filter. Better quality.
