Here in the UK we are plagued with Foreign thieves in organised gangs at antique fairs and coin shows. And if the organisers of the fairs try to deny them access , the thought police will show up to close the event down.

Same in Germany. I stopped shows entirely because of that, not worth it anymore.
The vehicle tracking/tampering tip was great. I never considered that side but makes sense

Very good video, I absolutely agree with everything said here. Unfortunately it is very hard to get access to firearms in Europe, that’s the main struggle for european pm dealers like myself. Best of luck to all of us.
Great post. Glad to see you guys are staying safe. You might also consider run-flat tires, a few spare lug nuts, spare tire valve stem cores, and portable inflator. I carry these things and more to recover from vandalism without having to wait for a tow. I try to anticipate the unexpected.

Thank you! I’ve been suggesting this at my local coin show in New York. They finally got it. At the last show, about two weeks ago, they found a guy dipped down in his car, holding his phone up, videotaping the license plates of the dealers as they leave. They basically had somebody in the lot as a lookout, relaying information to crews down the road. I suggested this as the show before, in July, they followed a dealer four hours to his home in Connecticut and robbed him of $500,000 worth of merchandise.
Do you think the pushbar on the car attracts more attention to you? Like you would be transporting something important? Maybe its more common in texas but it would stick out here in California.
Unless you live in a communist state, or are a communist yourself, a felon, or infirm, you should always have a sidearm, that you know how to use and is functional, if you’re any way involved in the field of numismatics. Not just dealers/sellers! Even the casual collector can be pegged for an easy mark at a show, or if you’re linked to coins or metals. When you leave a show, scan 360 degrees. Trust your gut! When walking to and from your vehicle be extra vigilant and prepared to encounter hostiles around blind corners, from behind other vehicles, and vehicles in motion that are approaching you. Immediately secure your valuables in your vehicle. Ideally you should have a safe to put them into during transit, which is bolted to the floor of the vehicle. When you start your vehicle and are putting on your seatbelt you’ll be distracted. A good ripper will know this. Try to still keep your head on a swivel during this vulnerable time. While driving watch for follow cars. Yes - cars PLURAL. Lately victims have been hit after shows by 2-3 cars that box them in, or tap a bumper. Dude pulls over to exchange insurance info and 1-2 more cars pull up and box you in. Or, in one case in particular the victim was literally boxed in while in motion going down the road. Mad Max style. Do not stop for food after a show and leave your stuff in the car!!!! There’s been a ton of victims over a dealer going into to grab a bite. Go straight home, but indirectly. When nearing your neighborhood make at least 2-3 circles around the general area, while watching for follow cars. Lastly when you pull up home, be on highest alert and go straight in and secure your valuables in your home/business safe. It’s all about counter surveillance and being situationally aware folks. You are your own first responder. The police are not. They come AFTER the crime has occurred 99% of the time. Stay frosty and for God’s sake, keep your head on a swivel.

All good advice. Just beware that window tint laws vary from state to state and are a reason to be pulled over in that state.

Imagine getting pulled over and the police pulling a "civil forfeiture".
Probably best to carry solid records backing your inventory.
