I was going to say the same thing! His enclosure looks great, it's a really good size to! You should have at least a couple months left before he outgrows it. Not sure how big he is now, seeing as though this was 3 months ago. How is he doing?
habitat may look nice but it's not perfect at all - there should be at least one more hide and climbing opportunity with branches that actually leave the ground.
@Kevin Lee you can but you have to add a lot of decor and places for it to hide so it doesn’t feel so open and like it’s in danger... that’s all i know cuz i’ve only been doing research for a bit.. there’s could be more stuff i’m missing.
@@KatianaGrace I've always wanted a pet snake for years, I plan to ask my mom if I can get one! You're a very sweet person in general, and you are a caring person. ♥️

well, guess i’ve fallen back down the rabbit hole of watching people unbox their snakes while i sit at home knowing my parents will never allow me to get my own snake
Derek Hershey I really hope mine is like that eventually. Right now he hates me and it makes me sad haha he just doesn't like to be handled as he seems very unused to it. Any tips on making the lil guy warm up to me? Im sure most of it is just patience so I'll try my best!
Katiana, I would handle him for 20 minutes a day, and talk to him like you would a puppy. Try to let him find a comfortable perch in just one hand and let him hang there. Also, try to let him crawl on the floor and go where he wants for a few minutes, getting to eye level with him and talking to him. The little fella will get more comfortable with you and begin to trust you. You two will develop your own unique bond.
Your enclosure is really good actually! The way you were talking about it I thought maybe there was going to be nothing in it 😂 you and your bp are perfect for each other.... cause you both are extremely beautiful and sweet ☺️
Oh my goodness you’re so sweet and I loved how you handled him but next time you buy a snake if it’s cold don’t immediately put him in your hand or in his inclosure in most cases he will die from the rapid temperature change it would be better to keep him in a room temperature environment for a hour or so before.
The cage isn’t that bad!!! Like its not bad at all!!! The only thing I’d say is getting heat on one side, and just normal temp on the other side. I’d reccomend getting inkbird thermostats, they do a wonderful job for my enclosure!

Found this channel cause I'm buying a ball python in a few days too. Love the energy and kindness you give out! It's a shame you don't make more vids :(
The enclosure is fine for a temp step for a wittle guy like that. You are one up on a lot of people since you do have a thermostat lighting and belly warmsth as well as a very nice looking enclosure with natural appeal for the little guy. I am glad you didnt put the bulb on right away so as to not shock him since hes a chilly little one at the beginning and needs to acclimate a bit. In the future or for anyone else reading this when they come in cold it is best to get them to ambient temp first without even the belly heater (which would be room temp so long as your room isnt actually colder than the box he was in). Once you get them there then you can turn on your heating just to warm them up gradually to make sure they dont get shock. One thing that stands out a lot is that you care about him already and want to do well for him. I love that youre getting him a humidifier as well!
Aww, your such a wonderful mother to the snake! I'm positive he'll get used to everything. I'm sure he'll get used to you and love you! Great name! How much was he? I'm interested in buying one myself.
Yesterday I got my beautiful baby banana Mojave spider from Dynasty reptiles, would definitely recommend them if you ever get another snake, they have amazing customer service and my lil boy arrived in absolutely perfect condition and was already tame as can be, coming out of his ball and relaxing with me within five minutes of being taken out of the box.
And omg he looks so similar to mine and he's gorgeous, the differences is mine has a lighter shade of yellow, more of a purple head and obviously had the spider striping
kitten fish thanks for letting me know! I actually originally purchased one from them and had to be refunded because they told me they wouldn't ship it directly to my apartment and I would have to go pick it up at the nearest FedEx hub which was far away and I was unable to without a ride :/ maybe I'll try them again one day.

Haha! So cute! In fact, I’m getting a ball python soon as well, I’m hoping this week, or either the next! And aw my gosh! You were shaking when you picked that little guy up! Great video/content! 😁
Don't worry about his enclosure and it absolutely doesn't have to be temporary it's honestly amazing. Remember bigger aquarium/tank doesn't mean better, often small snakes feel frightened in a big enclosure so they feel more comfortable in a smaller one

That is a beautiful snake. I currently have a female amelanistic (red albino) corn snake, a female bumblebee (pastel spider) ball python, a male lemon blast (pastel pinstripe ) ball python, (3 snakes total) 2 super snow leopard geckos, (one male one female), a male albino tremper leopard gecko, a male chocolate albino leopard gecko, a male lavender albino leopard gecko. (5 Leo's total.) a male creamsicle harlequin pinstripe crested gecko, a male yellow super Dalmatian crested gecko, a female chocolate tiger flame crested gecko, a female orange tiger flame crested gecko, a female chocolate tiger Dalmatian crested gecko, a female orange super tiger crested gecko. (6 cresties total.) And have owned lots of different reptiles in past I love reptiles so much. Once again gorgeous snake.
Shiv central is The best it feels like a leopard gecko bite. (When they’re young) which feels a tiny bit like sandpaper, and it doesn’t hurt AT ALL. And, if they did ever bite, you can easily tame them.
I had a corn snake and he bit my sister so we had to give him away but the person we gave him to didn't change his heat mat and he froze to death😭😢 Like to help him RIP🐍
His enclosure looked great! Now I know this was posted 2 years ago, but the only thing I would have done differently is having a hide on the warm end and the cool end. They need to have a temperature gradient. Also the half log dosent count as a hide because it dosent completely cover the snake.
Also just friendly tips here for enclosure but when you eventually get a bigger tank it’s important to have a water bowl on his warm side and cold side along with a heat pad on the warm side is almost essential and hides both on his side are good to so yeah
Your first set up is awesome! One tip, don't use the humidifier because your shake can get scale rot when he has a lot of humidity in the tank. Also best way for a reptile to acclimate is to allow them to see normal activity in your home because that will be their constant.
Aw thats a beautiful snake , for a new snake owner you did an amazing job for his first enclosure it looks great :) Congrats on your first I am gonna be getting my first ball python next week :)
What a cutie! I got my BP a while ago and have the tank set up in the least expensive ghetto way possible to make a 20 gal. set up for his species. I'm sure your baby is going to do just fine that until he's a big chonker.
They actually don't need too much humidity so the thing you bought might've been unnecessary. And the heat lamp. No need for it especially if it messes with the humidity. We just have a thermostat kind of thing to keep track. Only when they're shedding do they need a lot of it. Would love an update on your snake 💕

Shiv central is The best congratulations! I’m getting one very soon, as well.
Animal Master if they bite how bad will it hurt??? If you know
Shiv central is The best it feels like a leopard gecko bite. (When they’re young) which feels a tiny bit like sandpaper, and it doesn’t hurt AT ALL. And, if they did ever bite, you can easily tame them.
What kind
Animal Master thank you for telling me
We ve missed u! ❤
Snakes are gorgeous! I have been wanting a Ball Python for like ever!
Her voice is so calm
Welcome back yo
I think its very cruel to ship living beings in boxes he looked so terrified
I think you need to research the process before speaking out of emotions
I had a corn snake and he bit my sister so we had to give him away but the person we gave him to didn't change his heat mat and he froze to death😭😢
Like to help him RIP🐍
the boy in the comments lol
That’s not cool to use your dead snake for clout. No Wonder why you only have 6 likes💀🤷♀️
I believe 4:13 is what your looking for.
2K19?
Missed you! 😭😭😭💖💖
Cute. I wish you and your new noodle all the best!
Your first set up is awesome! One tip, don't use the humidifier because your shake can get scale rot when he has a lot of humidity in the tank. Also best way for a reptile to acclimate is to allow them to see normal activity in your home because that will be their constant.
Who whas scared for her
Why would you be scared for her? It's a baby Ball Python. A house cat is more dangerous than that little guy.
No one on earth.I'm more worried for the snake.
Beautiful snake and even more beautiful owner!! :)
Aw thats a beautiful snake , for a new snake owner you did an amazing job for his first enclosure it looks great :) Congrats on your first I am gonna be getting my first ball python next week :)
My bf has two reticulated pythons. I held them even though I was scared and they had struck at me. I'm glad he got me over my fear of holding snakes.
