Omg he looks exactly like the one I’m getting in 2 weeks. I had been researching snakes and bought what I needed. I was going to wait a bit longer to buy the actual snake, but then I saw my little guy and fell in love. So I snatched him up! I honestly cannot wait to get him!
Love your energy! I'm watching a bunch of ball python videos right now because I'm thinking of getting myself a pinstripe ball python and naming him Bermuda.
I Wanna see his enclosure and updates for sure beautiful piebald just leave him for a week then try to feed him then if he eats leave him for about 4 days. then you should start handing everyday for 15-20 mins once a day. then slowly bump up the time. Once he feeds again again leave for at least 4 days until you wanna hold him again. :)
Corn snakes are the easiest to care for and they’re going to be more curious and active. Ball pythons are going to hide more and they go off feed and their enclosures can be a bit more of a hassle for a first time snake owner. Boas are going to need similar conditions to the ball pythons with very minor changes here and there but they’re also more likely to bite you because they have an excellent feeding response so you might want to hook train or target train the boa to avoid getting bit. So with all that in mind, corn snakes are probably the best one to start with if you don’t know anything about snakes. Also remember, the bigger the snake the more expensive it’ll be to feed them. Corn snakes can pretty much stay on mice their entire lives. The python and boa will need to be switched over to rats once they reach a certain size. The boa won’t really have any issues switching but the ball python might not respond to the switch immediately and just won’t eat. Plus you might want to take into consideration how long the different snakes live. Corn snakes live about 20+ years. Ball pythons can live up to 40 years. Sand boas live about 30 years.
