Another helpful video. I think the safety was definitely the best percentage play. I gained more from watching your reply to a missed out than you master breaking. Brilliant! 🙂
Another great video Mick. I’m sharing this one in my pool chat group because some of them just don’t get that it’s not always about playing aggressively but rather playing with your head and weighing up the odds of making the out. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Another great lesson Mate a good safety shot is as good of any great shot, and a little patience will get you more wins than losses as long you don't go to negative. Just wanted to say to you mate you are doing a fantastic job teaching us all definitely learned some new tricks thanks mate.💯💥
Pretty sure I'd have gone for them in that scenario. The ability to know when to attack and when to play safe is a skill I'm yet to master. Great video.
I really like your videos. They're not too long but very instructive: do you have any tips for playing doubles, especially into the corner pockets? How can I tell if a double is on? Also, I have trouble with middle pockets. I can miss them to either knuckle even if they are easy. I'm obviously doing something wrong when it comes to the middle pockets that's usually where my run breaks down. I'd be grateful for any tips. Thanks. I look forward to seeing your next video
Hey mate, appreciate the kind words. I did a video on doubles here it is. ua-cam.com/video/CDhec3RTwiM/v-deo.htmlsi=P2zJM85Yl9xwn6BZ I think with the centre Pockets it comes down to accuracy hitting the white ball possibly trying to manoeuvre the object ball in rather than hitting the white ball in the centre and object ball in correct spot.
I defo would've taken the reds in this situation. The skill shot was the only difficult ball as all other reds had a pocket and naturally connected quite well to one another. Yellows definitely more work involved. Great video btw!
The first ball rolling onto the second ball only works if you play it soft enough, by playing back spin this allows you to play the white ball a little harder helping the object ball roll forward after contact with ball over pocket. Thanks for watching 👌🏼
Gidday Michael, just latched onto your videos, we are still playing world rules transitioning to international rules next season (Summer comp) Bendigo. My question is, what weight and tip size is your break cue and also your play cue? Also do you shape your tip to the dime method? Love ya videos from what I have seen so far mate, ima learning heaps from you.
Thank for watching mate I hope you get a lot out of these videos. I have made a few videos on what you are talking about try these… ua-cam.com/video/anAwmm5JWsw/v-deo.htmlsi=5gxyQRil6bcYvdDQ ua-cam.com/video/LNtuWjVci0E/v-deo.htmlsi=dUCAsbi13oGEC5rw
@MichaelScerri147 yep, I scrolled down and found them b4 your reply, thanks heaps Michael, can't wait to start playing International rules, looks alot better than world rules. Your tips and game plays are awesome mate.
Reds all day long for me but after taking the first into the middle I'd have gone top left corner, middle and then dealt with the bottom balls last, for yellow's first shot would have snooker behind black, but I'm no pro 🙂
Playing safe wouldn't have been the right choice. You can't assume that you are going to play a shot as bad as that skill shot. Under-screwing it was the only way you could not be guaranteed an easy pot on the next shot. As long as you didn't actually screw it right into the middle pocket you'd be on at least one of the reds.
@@MichaelScerri147 yeah could have played safety then attempted the escape for reds. If fouled could have gone back to yellows. Could possibly divide the screen into 2-4 sections for each possible event.
The only reason why I would take the skill shot earlier is to get good position on it if you leave it to the end and you don’t get good position on it then you are putting all your eggs in one basket just my opinion but either way is okay, I guess
@@MichaelScerri147 definitely, I agree to not leave your tough shots till last, but with two really simple connecting balls, either should leave a pretty simple shot to get pos, and a skill shot like that, any decent player backs them self maybe 8/10 time to get it
@@MichaelScerri147 plus leaving it last makes the skilly easy, instead of playing the shot and trying to get position on your next shot, leaving it last, you can just focus fully on the skilly as the blacks a gimme no matter where the white is
Nice one for doing this. Good job on the outtakes and overlay as well.
Thanks mate

Thank you and totally agree 👌🏼❤️
The skill shot doesn’t need the backspin to work. It’s all about the first object ball rolling into the second ball - rather than it sliding into it.

Should replace all the balls into the same position and play the safety lol
Haha believe it or not that did cross my mind 😆

reds definatly the choice, would have cleared top of table first, left the two bottom right and used either to leave the skilly for the last shot
