It is a myth that modern players are more technical. They have higher levels of fitness because the game is moving faster but they do not control the ball in a technical fashion at all hence why english players do not look technical at all.

Giggs could play anywhere in the attacking set up of a team. He played as central forward, central midfield, left midfield, left wing, right wing , left back. Giggs was one of those players that if given the chance could adapt to play as a center back due to his ability to read the game. Giggs won titles with Utd playing in central midfield when Keane left United. Keane knows all of this and played with Giggs as well. It is like saying Cristiano Ronaldo would be left out of the team.

that united midfield four had absolutely everything. tempo controlling from keane and scholes. vision and one touch passing from scholes. raw pace and goal threat from giggs. tackling and energy from keane. the two best long passers in the history. one of the best free kick takers, the best crosser in football in becks. long shots from scholes and becks. all of them worked their socks off and were pure winners.
