I still feel bad for Kosuke that he fell further and further every year. Then, of course, the impatient Cubs fans gave him so much grief, and called for his job by the next season. He really didn't deserve all of the backlash, and in some cases blatant racism just because he couldn't be that .300 30 30 guy that everyone expected him to be
I was wondering what ever happened to Kosuke Fukudome so naturally I googled him, and he's still play pro ball over in Japan at age 43! That's awesome!
Poor Starlin. Spent his years with the Cubs on bad teams, except 2015. Then he's traded away to the Yankees for two years and the Cubs win the World Series. Made the playoffs once in NY in 2017, the ALCS, but knocked out by the cheaters. Then he's traded away to another bad team in Miami. Now he's a National, the year AFTER they win it all and now suck, while the Marlins made the playoffs. Basically, he's been at wrong places at wrong times. I miss him on the Cubs. Could use him now at 2B... I still wear his jersey around, one reason for people to know I was a fan before 2016...but it's not like the Cubs still have bandwagon fans now, do they?
I remember the Ryan O’Malley game. The night before the Cubs won in 18 innings. O’Malley got a limo ride from AAA Round Rock where the ICubs were playing. Crazy story. Cubs won 1-0.
I have zero memory of Thomas Diamond. So crazy. To be fair, that 2010 season was so unmemorable. They weren't even bad enough to be remembered (like the 2011-2013 teams)
Rob Sperring's debut - 2 for 3 with a double and homerun - should be mentioned. In that game, Dave Kingman was used as a pinch runner by the Giants and is credited with a steal of home.
In Jeff Pico's debut he had a no-hitter going into the 8th. I was at that game my friend caught an Andre Dawson home run. He should have been higher on the list in my opinion
Too bad Dusty killed Pryor and Wood. Whenever I think of Pryor it’s of him “throwing” with that towel and of course Kerry with the 20 Ks in his 5th start.
Effing Dusty man. Effing shame what happened to both Prior and Wood. Thankfully Prior got his World Series ring with the Dodgers as their pitching coach. That was nice to see
@@skippythealien9627 yep Dusty can kill any pitching staff. Here’s a bit of trivia that you may not know....Dusty was on deck when Aaron hit his 715th HR
Castro was such a great player. Just what the Cubs needed during a very important rebuild
I miss him at 2nd base. We should have kept him, instead of picking up Zobrist IMHO
@@dancrews7769 zobrist is retired. He has enough of his own problems, he got a divorce
@@therealgamerv8970 And we traded away one of our most clutch players to get him
@@dancrews7769 so zobe is so clutch tho
@@P2damian Yes, but he was older & with his personal problems, I don't personally feel that he was worth giving Castro up for
That fukudome homer never gets old
Its like the Bote Grandslam, didnt do anything to the season, but it was epic

Todd Wellemeyer and Willson Contreras could have been here also
Willson's HR wasn't his debut, just his first ever AB. I believe he came in to catch the day before in the 9th in a blowout
@@suba517 I think your correct
@@suba517 OK, that makes sense
Wilson no the wasn’t his debut but Wellemeyer could’ve been on there yes
LOL Todd Wellemeyer had an incredible debut. Damn I totally forgot all about that game until you brought his name up
Mark Prior 💙❤️💙

i’ve still got my castro jersey from when i was a kid
Who is Sammy Sosa?
If you can't answer that then you're a bandwagon who joined after 2016

he stook with us when we were horrible and finally we start getting good and we trade him it’s heartbreaking

Where's Wilson Contreras? He hit a home run on the first pitch that he saw. If Soler is on here, so should be Contreras

good choices but i think you’re missing the Baez game in Colorado
