Run regen isn't the problem it's run depletion
I don't understand why they have to Nerf graceful to buff stamina in general people work so hard for their graceful
They are making agility have its own skilling outfit, the only nerf if the %run restore, who really uses graceful for that reason? The additional mark of grace % will be massive.
@@SD_AV the run restore comes in very handy when questing, farming, smithing, fishing karambwan, cooking, among other things. Anything where you have to run a lot and also have periods of time where are you are standing still in between. I I had to choose between that or more marks of grace, I would absolutely choose the stamina regeneration every time. But yes, the extra mark of grace will be nice in the long run as well, so it would be a trade-off. Of course people work hard to get their graceful, and get their agility levels up for the stamina benefits, so it would be nice if we could get the few extra marks of grace and not have to sacrifice the stamina generation. Idk I'm not saying I'm right it's just how I feel at the moment.

@Aggrandize.__ for herb runs bro lvl up your con and put the rejuvenation pool in your poh. set up some portals in the poh such as catherby and troll stronghold so that you have a reason to go in there during your herb run. you will never run out of run!

When bossing this will make it worse, already tested on beta world you get about half the run time when weighed down by combat gear like in cox... I do not want to use more staminas because of this update
to help new players agility should be a F2P skill, 4 courses(dray, AQ, var, fal), no graceful tokens, a few shortcuts(disabling member area and grapples), and most importantly the energy regen
I like this idea it would make much sense or atleast until the falador one then say after 50 you can gain exp in the skill afterwords. It would help f2p atleast somewhat get around easier even if its not much

F f2p players. Too poor to pay a sub? Playing this game should be the least of your concern if you cannot pay $13 a month. That's about 30 mins of work for most jobs and literally a double quarter meal at McDonald's is more money at $14.

This was a painful video to watch. You only read stuff out without proper analysis, and it was not smooth at all.
As an ironman that just grinded to 70 Agil for my graceful and recolor, just for them to nerf is quite infuriating..

Yeah you're right. Now receiving more marks of grace to make stamina potions you cannot buy on the GE, and not failing agility courses gaining more exp per hour, Is infuriating! Wait until you unlock stamina pots and find you have to do more agility to make more of them, you'll be very thankful you're now getting more marks of grace.
People are reading the fact that the 30% stam drain effect is being removed and not reading between the lines that you'll have more than 30% less stam drain from the other changes and therefore they have to remove this from graceful or you'll likely drain energy slower than you gain it, giving graceful unlimited run energy. Which would be OP.
The only thing that's being nerfed and needs changing in the proposed changes is how much run energy you lose while you have a lot of weight on you(pvm where you need to bring multiple attack styles). This has nothing to do with graceful.
It's much better than being forced to use graceful all the damn time and having no other option
Graceful is now worthless to main accounts. Osrs new updates are just making the game easy for new players an ass for vets
But that's the whole point of being an "Ironman", you're supposed to grind for everything anyways

After coming back after 5 years, my account was cleaned and perma banned as a zulrah bot. For some reason they dropped my graceful when I recovered my account. First thing I did was get graceful back....

@@commanderhoes6609 Lost about ~200M 2018-19 bank to a 20M 2024 bank. Only built back up to about 100M since, loving the game but I was never good with money and now everything is 100M.
i mean, gracefull makes you not fail agility corses anymore and get more marks, to fuel the ironman stam pots
i think as long as the new run energy feels compariable at higher lvls to current with gracefull then we good

I’m confused. The way I read this blog made it sound like graceful was being buffed. Or at least making it more valuable. They’re literally making it more punishing to have more weight, meaning you need graceful more. Plus they’re giving it bonuses to marks and not failing obstacles. The only thing they nerfed about it is the energy regen which is more of a balance because they buffed regen across the board. What am I missing here

I don't get it either. I think that some of the effects that make you want Graceful everywhere are being rolled into agility levels. Graceful is getting buffs that specifically help with Agi training instead (marks of grace). But they don't want the general run energy buff to change how raiding in heavy gear feels now?
Exactly this. No idea how anyone can read the post and not see that they're removing the energy drain rate because you're going to be receiving it without graceful at a certain agility level anyway.. you'd have unlimited run energy while wearing graceful if they didn't remove it. Low IQ playerbase
I think they're buffing graceful for its effects, and adding that you have more weight the more your run depletes as intended but more so than normal. In addition to the graceful its buff would just be the exp which would make sense. I just got my first graceful and I'd like more exp wearing it and not just oo lighter.. I'd like to see them have the energy regen as standing 3x faster than a walking regen of 2x running.
maybe at highest level you can conserve more as in the regular amount of time of losing energy the less weight, and vice versa for more weight is more engery lost but I wouldn't like it to be massive. I mean were adventurers wouldn't our strength come into play of holding up our arms? Heck even health?
Honestly, my take, forget Jagex. They do things they want and don't listen to us at all. Me being an UIM, graceful as it is is SO beneficial to me. I DO NOT want them to change agility OR graceful AT ALL. I ESPECIALLY don't want the graceful set effect to be taken away. If new players find it slow, just grind. That's the game. I've already achieved 99 and grinded graceful on a few accounts, and I believe graceful will become obsolete without the set effect. I agere, by the way, osrs is slowly turning into rs3.
changing run speed changes the whole game no point playing anymore.run speed used to get it quick thats what made game fun the speed take that out not fun anymore.game membership used to be 5.00,change run speed force people to buy it and change price to 12.49 per month your out of your mind nobody wants to pay that for run speed.

Man they better not nerf graceful for the sake of people who feel they are obligated to use it because it’s good. That makes no sense. Fashion scape has its times. There are tons of activities you can do that doesn’t require run energy. On top of that, this is how they go about fixing a situation that can hardly be called a problem or dilemma. Graceful looks cool and it has all the re color options.
Seems so silly. I think a better way to go about this is being able to combine graceful to take the appearance of some killing outfits or holiday items or anything without combat stats. So stupid….. actually triggered. This better not actually happen.
Just give ppl who get to a certain lvl of agility the % restore and reduced wieght in non combat situations, duh. No one likes being forced into graceful all the time. They just want to have to movement buff and still look cool in other gear. All I see is ppl in graceful, its honestly a horrible looking set by now.
I feel like these changes make early game ironman with no stams so much worse

I dont understand this, run energy depletes in 30 seconds but takes 30 min to refill
not a fan of the last two break points being lvl 70 and 99.. that would mean after level 70 you would need 12 million more exp to reach the next threshold. seems like very little thought went into that scaling.

Just make the Graceful set reduce the user weight by some X percentage per piece with 100% weight removal when you have the full set. Then you can completely remove the run restoration bonus from the set. So the Graceful set basically acts like you're running around with no items.

@@lampisfun1139 It reduces weight by a fixed amount instead of a percentage. -25kg for the full set instead of 100% weight reduction that I'm proposing. This makes it so that there isn't a difference between wearing a full graceful outfit and wearing nothing if you're carrying nothing. Most quests don't require you to bring heavy stuff anyway. This makes questing with your preferred armour just as good as wearing a full graceful set. This also carves out a niche for the Graceful set. Which is carrying lots of heavy stuff. So if you ever find yourself carrying 1000kg, the proposed Graceful outfit change will make it 0kg instead of 975kg.
Agility should be worth leveling to 99, it should lower the drain rate significantly and the regen rate buffed up. Along with if you weight 64kg it should act like you weigh 32kg.
So graceful is useless now nice.

I don't see a bad thing here. I don't think graceful needs to be nerfed much. Just tweaked a bit to counteract the buff to Regen.

This affects UIM and mostly PvM activity that you have to run around a lot if you brought one stamina now it is time for 2, but it is good for new players i guess and new accounts you can go from lumby to ge in one run

This is actually amazing for fashion scape, my only problem with the notes is the additional marks of grace being spawned but I will give the beta servers a try to see if we will still need stamina pots when running without the grace outfit

the only real issue is the proposed drain rate on high weight setups. 28% nerf for most raiders at 99 agility is insanely bad

So they’re buffing regen, nerfing run time, and fucking graceful.
They refused to say they’re buffing run time.
A 5% buff and a 30% nerf(on graceful) is going to be terrible.
Most skilling will die even harder than it already is.
The title is wrong, Jagex hasn't done anything yet. This is a proposal and beta. Yes they missed the mark, they already have said they are going to try again
It’s also wrong in general in my opinion. The only nerf here is the removed energy regen on graceful. Idk when the last time you used graceful was but the regen barely has a purpose, it’s the weight reduction that has the main purpose. With them buffing regen rates over all and also making weight affect you even more at higher weights, it means graceful is literally more necessary if you are running around with items in your inventory
I was so excited at first bc i took a break from osrs for 7 months... Came back yesterday and first thing I thought was man im so sick of having to wear graceful everywhere and to do it when catching up on all these new short quests..... And saw this and got excited. But it seems lile graceful will be even more necessary now???
It wouldnt be as bad if we could wear 99 capes instead of graceful cape or other headware at least....

Edit: Btw to all the haters i been playing since 04, i don't mind the changes but i just don't want to see the graceful set to be useless i mean the update might be cool but i'm use to the old ways and yes i played a little of rs3 and didn't like it lmao, like i said i don't mind change one bit i just like the graceful set especially the different colors.

i think this will be a good change, although sure it might suck for older account, but being a new player also sucks when you dont know what to do. some plays spend their first 100 hours in varrock and lumbridge understanding core mechanics of the game.
my girlfriends BIGGEST complaint is run energy. shes brand new to the game and likes to be in draynor/lumby.
i think for the health of the game, to increase the playerbase, new run energy that isnt locked behind 20 hours of the most boring fkn skill in the game. not only that, it isnt accessible to f2p. new players have no reason to be members because they have so much to learn.
i dont understand why people are so against this, new players hardly understand weight and carry 15kg items regularly and wear full iron armour. they spent atleasy 70-80% of the game walking.
jagex is doing good here for the new players here, and if you disagree you are probably upset because you put hours into agility/graceful and will feel like you wasted your time. but who cares.
new players means more money for the game, better servers, more content, but upset normal players because their time was less EHP for them. updates that "reduce ur time" happene every day, and this one helps new players. every new weapon released means the bis will drop in $$$. does it make you upsrt you spent all that time on a weapon that isnt bis anymore?
I like the buff you would get as a new account and everything but for mid to late game accounts you now have less run energy when bossing ans require more staminas for well all raids and late game bosses

after some more thinking, in raids everyone in endgame would suffer, but instead of helping the new players there should be another workaround, maybe a buff for raids that makes gear 1/3rd the weight or something.
