Catching bluegill sunfish for bait and going after catfish on jugs.
That lake looks mighty familiar
I get to come back and play at the office..
Every good fisherman I've ever met whispers when they fish. 👍
its currently winter time, and i have never wanted to bobber fish more in my life 🤣
You might get you a lightweight aluminum ext. pole with a hook so that you can hook the line, pull it in and then net the fish. Just a suggestion.
I have tried that but a hook will make you not be able to let go of it if it pulls too hard and it will rip the hook out. If you try to horse them in you might lose them.
you need to get ya a hook lol. Fantastic catches though, love jugging :)
I know some folks use the circle hooks, but they are kind pricey. Also if you are referring to hooking the jugs to pull them in, it is risky to use hook pole because you stand the chance of ripping the fish hook out of their mouth. With the net, you can let go if they pull too hard.
@@Kurtdog63 yea but when your soloing it, its a really important piece... risking alot with the motors and timing, i always worry about the outboard lol
@@Kurtdog63 if you take the hook to gather just the noodle i meant,
Ur so calm and quiet while fishin
It is hard to contain myself sometimes. Like a kid in a candy store.
I use a extended alum. rod with a hook to pull in my noodles. Consider trying it.
Go fishing for CICHLIDS PANFISH 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
I got a secret for big flathead. Put a leach on your hook and cover up the eye. Then put your bluegill on. The leach will wiggle making the bluegill more active.. it works like a charm 👍
Turtles get most of the bait. There are some giants caught occasionally. One of my friends cleans and eats them.
@@Kurtdog63 I throw em back if they are over 30.
@@Kurtdog63 they are fantastic smoked. Just make sure you light the small end 😜
Noodles are too small for big fish . I also use circle hooks to match the size of the bait . Much better hook up ratio.
Have never caught any real big ones. Supposedly the smaller fish are the better eaters anyway. Caught some pretty big turtles. Large "jugs" are annoying to pack around and store. I used to use blue dense foam blocks as well, but the sinker weight flops around and they don't store/pack as easily.
Good video is that Nolin River Lake?
Yep. The entire area is a mudflat right now.
@@Kurtdog63 I saw that last week. I live close to Nolin
Yes. We had a lot of rain last year and water stayed up higher for a while. This year has been bone dry and lake dropped quickly.@@Richhatfield9568
Why are they called troutlines when they should be called cat-lines
I don’t know where the name trotline originated?
I have a pole with a hook on it if you need to barrow
I like those too.

City boy, probably a Democrat too. Or a nonbinary liberal 🙄. Probably watches CNN all day long and drives a prius. Really pisses me off these woke fools trying to ruin the sport of fishing for us country folk. We need Trump back
