Years later when I started feeling nostalgic for Genesis games, I went ahead and bought Castle of Illusion again. I guess it also shows that licensed games can work out on these mini consoles after all.

I have the SEGA Genesis flashback. It's the model 2 and it works well. There is an input lag of about 0.5 s but it is not the end of the world for me. There are some things that don't have the input lag. I have been playing on it for 3 weeks: Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Side Pocket, Soccer, Bonanza Bros, Ristar, Columns, Columns III, Golden Axe, Alex Kidd (the genesis version), Judge Dredd, Sonic Spinball, A Sonic racing game for GameGear, Decap Attack, Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2, Mortal Kombat 3 and a bunch of others I forgot. All those are running fine and the sound quality is fine. Apply the firmware update from Feb 2019. The bonus games are playable, simple but the sound on some of them are absolute crap. Some have sound glitches. There is a checkers, chess, canon game, Battleship and some weird games.
Gameplay: Oh this is nice, some simple fun, nothing too outrageous- Reaches Contra Hard Corps Game-play: EXPLOSIONS, SHOOT EVERYTHING AHHHH! Game-play of other games resume: Aw look at all this, so fun- Reaches Ecco Gameplay: (Ecco Himself) OH GOOD LORD, WHATS HAPPENING!?

Nights, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Radiant Silvergun, Guardian Heroes, Burning Rangers... there are more than enough hidden gems to make a Saturn Mini feasible. A finished Sonic Xtreme as a bonus game (a la Star Fox 2 on the SNES Classic) would just be icing on the cake.
Sucks that they couldn't get Sonic 3 & Knuckles on this, I mean, honestly, Sonic 3's music is iconic, but Sega also doesn't own the music rights to that one from what I understand. Look, guys, it's not a matter of laziness, they managed to pry an unreleased Tetris game and nearly unobtainable MegaMan game from the pages of history, as well as not 1, but 2 Mickey Mouse games from Disney. If there wasn't going to be complications getting Sonic 3 & Knuckles for them, they would have put it on, or worse put it on with altered music, which would honestly piss me off more.

Very nice selection of the classic games, the SEGA Genesis Mini looks interesting, nostalgic. I would have liked to see Sonic 3 and Michael Jackson's Moonwalker in the game selection, but we already know the reason for their absence; And it's sad, since they are great games.
As someone who already has Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection of PS3, I am definitely still getting this. I'd say the Genesis Collection has a better overall selection of games than the Mini, but this is undoubtedly still a fantastic selection and I will definitely be taking this on trips alongside my SNES Classic.

No Shining Force II makes me something something. Also the clip you showed from Shining Force was not very good. I highly recommend everyone to go play the first 2 Shining Force games. They both got awesome guides online too.
I hope soon they'll release a sega saturn mini, it's been revered as a 2D 32bit console and 2D games aged well, maybe will have a castlevania symphony of the night.
More Monster World 3 and 4 exposure is fine by me! So glad that so many titles are available, but some of these should have seriously been on the other compilation for current consoles. Just sayin'

This is ALMOST perfect sad there's no Ristar or one of the early Phantasy star's. Still a really Solid collectuon and may honestly pick this up as it's incredibly good and faithful
Eh...I could live without Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles. But I would have loved to see games like the original Streets of Rage, Gain Ground, Revenge of Shinobi, Super Hang On, OutRun, Ranger X, Lightening Force (Thunder Force 4), Earthworm Jim 2, Vectorman 2, After Burner 2, Target Earth, Zero Wing, Alien Storm, Rolling Thunder 2 & 3, MUSHA (even though it's on the Japanese MD Mini) and games that were Sega Channel exclusives like Alien Soldier and Pulseman. Heck, I would've loved to have seen Gauntlet 4 on the console, as that was an early yet still excellent game by M2. But that would require Sega to recreate a modern Team Player adapter for four players.
I'm disappointed by the lack of Sonic 3, Ristar, Aladdin, and Rocket Knight Adventures as much as the next guy but you cannot deny that this is still an insanely solid lineup of games. Only one of the bunch that actually kind of sucks is Sonic Spinball (and Kid Chameleon depending on who you ask).
