Just Finished reading the entire Bible Myself!!
Guys I did it, I read through the entirety of the Bible. Starting from the Book of Matthew in the New Testament and then from Genesis to Malachi in the Old Testament! Now I will begin studying the Ten Commandments. Thank the LORD for the motivation to this thing :D

For some it is hard to put the books into historical context, not everyone has enough historical knowledge - therefore those videos are stellar and also very well done!!
Marge719 i agree , but there’s no need for people to call out bible project if they giving us the best way to understand the Bible. People expect perfection word for word, like take money out of your own pockets and build your own “overview” cuz what Bible project is doing is not cheap either. In other words be grateful for what Bible project is giving us, if people don’t like it, then stop being lazy and read the Bible yourself. Btw I’m speaking in General.

We the people who believe the word of God are advised to try the spirits of men. This is only logically possible if we ourselves are spiritually awake by the Spirit of God, thru His Word. I am really glad to have been led to the videos. Excellent work, n, God's speed to u all.

I personally prefer doing it the other way around. I read a book of the bible and then watch the corresponding Video by the Bible project. It then deepens my understanding of it, it adds more perspective. Either way, it helps! 😊

An interesting note about the name Malachi:
The name "Malachi" means "my messenger" (or "messenger of (the Lord) according to sources naming him "Malachias" (2 Esd. 1:40). Not only is this interesting because Malachi brings a message from God because he's a prophet, it also opens up a wordplay in 3:1 "Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare tbe way before me." (ESV). This messager is later revealed in the NT to be John the Baptist pointing straight to Jesus. So Malachi is "messenger", delivering not only a message from God, but one about a new "Elijah/messenger" who is John the Baptist. Lots of foreshadowing and 'unified story'-ness going on in this book!

God is faithful....i have been putting off studying reading the bible. But, il listen to pastors on utube. Lastnight i was rubbing my bible praying for God to help me and give me understanding.
And, as i started to study i prayed that there were a way for me to have a easier understanding 😊 then I crossed this clip. I was praying for something like this. God is faithful 🙏
The Bible, especially the Old Testament, is a display of how powerful Gods love is! Since genesis we have been complaining, grumbling, committing sin against God and yet, God refuses to turn away from us so long as we refuse to turn away from Him.
What about when God literally says He hates esau? That His entire lineage will suffer and never be loved or redeemed?

I'm actually going through a hard time and I've been drifting away from God but then this morning I had a dream and I saw myself that I read the book of Malachi and that there were 4 chapters in this book.. and in my dream I saw that I have to finish reading this book... I woke up and still remember this dream... then I decided to open my Bible and I was so shock to see that there were really 4 chapters in this book... I feel like God is talking to me but I still can't understand what He is trying to say.. 💔
Thank you for sharing this. I think God is trying to talk to all of us. That's one reason why I love the scriptures so much; I feel as though the words of His prophets are His own words, given to them to share with us. I'm grateful for all the prophets God has sent to us, both ancient and modern.

It is amazing how so many books of the old testament always point to the future, the 'day of the Lord' that brings devestation in order to finally bring peace in the end. Don't know for sure, but I would guess that even every old testament book contains this outlook.

The Bible Project No. No. No. You should've explained the ending of the fourth chapter in detail. Jesus said John the Baptist was the Elijah to come (symbolically). I thought you were a Christian channel.

@@saiyongdawn7756 In the Book of Malachi GOD said he is going to send Elijah the Prophet not jesus not symbolically or somebody else in the spirit and power of Elijah that is not written. Why Christians be lying all the time like jesus?
@@donsmith4547 Jesus said himself that it was John the Baptist whom the prophet was speaking about in the Spirit. Some but not all prophecies of Scripture has to be interpreted symbolically not literally.

Thank you for the great video. I would just like to say that in the book of Malachi, God was mainly chastising the Levites or the priests rather than the Israelites in general. (ref 2:7,8 and 3:3)

A bunch of us at church have been reading the entire bible since lock-down in 2020 and all that fun stuff... we'd do a chapter every day and email 'got it' to each other after reading.... worked thru the new testament, then the old, and here we are in 2023, about to jump into Malachi! Will probably start over again with Matthew & keep going... again! LOVE the overviews so much.

This is a pretty depressing book if this is the last book in Scripture. I always wonder if it doesn't bother the Jews that the last book in the Tanakh is a condemnation of Israel, followed by 2400 years of silence from God.

Agree. If Chronicles are last it is still depressing and the silence too.i would say that their hearts are cold as always
A lot of Christians believe in 2,000 years of silence. It is pretty sad.
What are your thoughts on The Book of Mormon? It starts about 13 years before the Babylonian captivity and there's apparently a lot of precedent for it (Hugh Nibley did a huge 28 part lecture series talking about it). Not meant to be confrontational, but inquisitive.
Great Video, I just have a question concerning the Tithe that was required by GOD.
QUESTION: You state the Tithe includes Income (Money) and Produce. Can you Please provide a scripture/scriptures that gives direction that Tithes were to be PAID with money or by any one other than those who had farms and livestock?ll
It is my understanding that Tithes were given and not paid. There where the Tithes given to the Levites, Priest, Widows and Poor which was only Produce and Livestock.
(Leviticus 27:30,32) - "A Tithe" of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the tree belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD.
32 - Every Tithe of the herd and flock - every tenth animal that passes under the shepherd's rod - will be holy to the LORD.
There was a tax (Exodus 30:13,16) of 1/2 Shekel (1/3 Shekel in Nehemiah 10:33-34) that was PAID for the support and upkeep of the Temple itself.
Exodus 30:13 - each male over 20 yrs old to pay 1/2 Shekelas an offering to the LORD.
30:16 - Receive this atonement money and use it for the care of the Tabernacle.
