I’ve had mine for two years. Some yellow tarnishing but comes off with a pencil eraser. Awesome watch…I love it more now than when I bought it.

Thank you Rob for recommending Exquisite Timepieces, got my first Unimatic in my collection and the transaction was a breeze and the staff is very helpful.

Bought it about a year ago. Polished it twice with a silver polishing cloth. That 3 minutes of maintenance brought back the silver color I prefer. I don’t honestly get what all this discussion about the tarnishing is; the watch looks fantastic. I love it and when it’s polished, It looks so much nicer than a regular stainless steel. I am a believer in the proprietary alloy. It never looked yellow like this video shows. It just looked slightly darker than it was on day one. I own other silver jewelry and I can tell you that this tarnishes at a rate much much slower than a regular piece of 925 silver would.
I feel like this scratches a little easier than stainless steel. That being said, the higher, brighter shine is just dazzling. This is not my most expensive watch, but it looks like it is. Get this watch, it is beyond cool. There is literally nothing like it on the market.

The 58 bezel action is my benchmark I judge all others against. It's excellent 👌

I live in New Mexico, the Land of silver jewelry. So I can tell you with certainty: if you don't wear it, it tarnishes, and it tarnishes even if you do wear it *if* there are spots that aren't getting any friction to keep them shiny. A native friend of mine says she likes how polishing your silver jewelry ahead of time helps get you into a celebratory state of mind. I can dig that, but I still find it annoying. (It does NOT rub off on your clothes, however, unless you use your clothes as a polishing cloth, which would be dumb, LOL.)

Is the strap not adjustable on the buckle end, to make it longer?

Taupe never made sense.. I think of something almost more than in color. This is straight up gray. Anyways.. one of my favorite colors for the bb58. Just wish they made a matching bracelet for it. Stainless steel won't be a perfect match and I think I'd always see the discrepancy in the silver tones between 925 and ss.
I think you have to adjust the buckle placement and extend that end to maybe get a bit more length out of that strap it comes on. It's the same basic design as what comes with my bb58 bronze. Probably just easier and better to swap out for tons of aftermarket strap options.

Is the grey this dark in outdoor lighting as well? When I saw it in the AD it had much warmer hues

The strap looks a lot like a Crown and Buckle Chevron strap.

I think some of you guys are confusing tarnish with patina. Tarnish will rub off on your clothes. This is a Watch for someone who has a valet who can polish their watch every day. But it is very good looking.

it's like the artifical distinction between a plant and a weed, patina v tarnish....

Grey with a little brown. Rob, ask your wife if she sees a little brown in that grey. Women tend to have better color vision. Looks 100% grey to me but I’m a guy.

It looks slightly more brown-grey in person.

Tudor is out of my snack bracket but if I could afford something in this price range I would totally own and wear the living crap out of this watch. What a looker!

My unworn new example didn't simply 'tarnish', it turned almost entirely BLACK after 9 months stored dry in a cloth watch pouch.

Yeah, I don’t think silver is a great choice - how often would you need to polish it, and any tarnish could rub off on your clothes.

I've only ever heard of silver pocket watch cases. I wouldn't want a tarnishing wristwatch.
