DIY SHINOBI HEADBAND two different ways! (Easy, Cheap, & Quick)

This week I tried making SHINOBI HEADBANDS using two different methods. One version uses metal and looks more realistic while the other is more cartoony and wont reflect light. Both were easy and cheap to make so let me know which one you like more in the comments below!
MATERIALS (VERSION 1)
long aluminum can
paper fasteners /brads (silver if possible) - amzn.to/3E7Mra4 (gold and silver)
dark blue fabric
scissors

silver paint (if your brads aren't silver) - amzn.to/3z5Vdl4
fray check (optional) - amzn.to/2X9EfFM
MATERIALS (VERSION 2)
black craft foam - amzn.to/3A3VjLu
fabric glue (or machine washable glue?) - amzn.to/3yIxQOr
silver spray paint - amzn.to/3z5Vdl4
dark blue fabric
scissors
sharpie
Dremel (with cylinder and pointed tips) - amzn.to/3hpQTqT
SEWING MUST HAVES:
Sewing Pins, Measuring Tape, Seam Ripper - amzn.to/3uzIjuL
I recommend a good pair of FABRIC SCISSORS so you never have any trouble cutting your cloth- amzn.to/3swvhwd
Sewing Machine (The one I use is a really old Brother model and sometimes a newer Singer model, but the kind isn't a huge deal as long as it has assorted foots and a strait and zig-zag stitch)

I have some up-cycled diy ideas for you.
Go to your local thrift stores and ask to about jeans, shirts and sweaters that they wouldn't normally sell. Something thats torn, stained or have holes just gets thrown away.
You can use the materials to make a things like:
Scrunchies
A sweater pillow
Mini decorative pumpkins
Barbie clothes
Small rugs
Headbands
Small purses
And more!

Ohh that's a great idea! I like to get a lot of my materials from dumpster diving or free piles but I never thought to ask the thrift store for stuff they won't sell! Thanks for the advice!
