- A tutorial to help complement the previous video on the Madara Uchiha cosplay project. I am aware, that these shoes are not specific to just this character. But enjoy as I explain the process of creating these shoes with only a couple pieces of gym floor mat.

I notice you couldn't find the bottom of the shoe.... I noticed they all wear the same shoes! So if you were to make a second pair... I recommend looking at Rock Lee's or Guy's foot because those 2 are always kicking and you can see the shoe bottoms

This is fantastic. the only thing I might do (planning on shoes for Hidan cosplay) is to cut holes into the inner sole layer and have the shoe part have protrusions to go into those holes (also contact glue bonded) for a little extra security on the all over bond but, this tutorial will help a ton!

Incredible tutorial! Have you posted any sort of pattern for the shoes? I think I need some help with the top parts as I already figured out the bottom of the shoes.
I knew I wasn’t trippin’ you forgot pretty much the whole top part of the shoe. You explained the pieces but not the main component.

What kind of foam Matt did you use do you remember?
My suggestion is that you just get a pair of black slides and put on socks but cut off the end so your toes show
But there is a chance you may end up just looking homeless.. 🤔

I found what the bottom of the naruto shippuden sandal looks like go look at the new itachi uchiah card on the new naruto app ultimate ninja blazing and you'll see the bottom of itachi ' s sandal relative to the type madara seems to be wearing hope that helps I like your videos and I just subscribed

Take a heeled poit and cut out the toe part..thats what i did for con and it worked
The same thing but longer. Or just wear knee highs but cut out the toe part.

You could have made this a lot more streamline by just making some printable templates.
At the time I wasn’t sure how to. It was more important to get the video out rather than dwell on what I could have done better. There’s lots of things I’d change on all my videos. But thanks for the suggestion.

Having a hard time figuring out the actual dimensions and where to draw the lines. Do you have the old measurements and cuts that I might be able to use as a reference? The soles were easy and I even taught a friend a new technique through your heat gun technique but the bulk of the shoe is giving the both of us a problem. I really want to make these shoes for my Asuma Sarutobi cosplay and they look really dope.

Yeah, they’re all generally the same shape. The only difference I’d see is the size. My snowboard boots are much bigger than my regular shoes at least.

I didn’t make these for myself so this one is hard to say. But I’ve made another pair of 100% foam shoes and it lasted throughout 4 full day cons.

+Diego Vasquez Rodriguez not sure if I could get to that build any time soon. But if you're working on them, I'd suggest finding shoes or boots with the most similar bottom treads, and find a good fabric material to sew into shape and glue over. Also if you even put a thin layer of foam over the toe and found some good paint to make it look metal, that'd be a nice touch as well. That's just the cheapest quickest way I can think of at the moment.

+PiniPig Cosplay thank you! Comfortable yes, and they've lasted through wearing it around the house and a con. But I didn't do any extreme ninja moves while wearing them.

+PiniPig Cosplay there's a chance it'll rip if you make them too tight. Because I've had a few times where the glue would hold, but the material itself ripped near the seam.
