Could happily listen to Ron (Mr. Howard) talk about his early life and evolving career for, well, a considerable length of time. He's just so honest and sincere and *not full of himself, but at the same time visionary, assertive and driven. Go Ron Go!
Love the fact that lifelong fame as an actor and director and then wealth that comes with it has not changed Ron. He seems very grounded and above all, nice and normal.
This episode was so meaningful. I had the privilege of being at the crew screening of GRAND THEFT AUTO. I remember it like it was yesterday, took place in Beverly Hills. My friend Peter Isacksen, who was years later my partner in a post-production facility started in int and invited me to this event. I would meet John Ritter, married to the co-star of GTA, Nancy Morgan before his career took off! Thank you for sharing!
I’m so happy his parents lived long enough to see his success. Ron Howard is probably the only child actor to transition successfully into adulthood. Still has his head on right after all these years.
This interview was awesome! I grew up in the 60s when television was worth watching. Love Ron Howard such a great actor, writer, director, and film maker❤ Thank for the memories.
What a great engagement with the ones you interview. Excellent skills at listening and asking provocative question and finally, bringing out the best in people. Congrats! Ron Howard is a powerful, powerful, director yet he maintains a personable attitude and has never stopped being a student or a mentor for life. Enjoyed this series of interviews so much!
American Graffiti is my favorite movie of all time. At 54yrs old a 32 Ford Model A and a 55 Chevy is my favorite cars of all time. I’m building a Ford Model A sedan right now. But it will be yellow for sure.

Every now and then I will look up on UA-cam the scene from happy days were Richie leaves home finally and his dad writes him a blank check because he is going to start his career in Hollywood… It’s so cool how they kind of moves into the final episode of happy days Ron Howard’s reality.
This series is like a Make-a-Wish experience for grown-ups. I could talk to Ron Howard about his life and his work for a month of Sundays and it would have to be the most amazing experience imaginable. He is one of a kind.
My Grandson named my granddaughter Dallas because he was born in Dallas, Tx. I had never heard of a little girl named Dallas. I felt really excited when I found out Ron Howard’s daughter was named Dallas!
I fondly remember little Ronny Howard from “The Courtship of Eddie's Father” also starring Glenn Ford, Shirley Jones and the sexy Stella Stevens (passed away recently). A great line was when little Ronny would explain women to his Dad: “Now, don't get mad, Dad, but it's true. Very big. Skinny eyes, and big busts is how you tell a bad lady from a good one.”
My dad worked on cotton candy and has that shirt that Ron is wearing in the black and white photo. My mom wore it through my childhood and I think my sister owns it now. We lived in east Dallas and went to the mall that cotton candy was filmed in our entire childhoods.. 😂
That middle name thing served as an in joke in the Netflix episodes of Arrested Development. Isla Fisher’s character which was supposed to be Ron’s love child was named Rebel Alley, Alley being her middle name 😂 It also served as a dual in joke because Alley is Cheryl Howard’s (Ron’s wife) maiden name! Also, I honestly loved Rush. Clearly he treated the subject with the respect it deserved, and it made the movie amazing. Daniel Bruhl was seriously snubbed for not being nominated, let alone win, an Oscar given that he WAS Niki Lauda. If he could impress even the man himself, it’s clear he did a great job!

awesome office. if ever a movie made about colonel harland d. sanders, ron howard would be my choice to direct it. really like the rroyce plaque. by the way, the video of your brother, is really heartfelt.
I loved that Concorde car commercial where Mom says she named her daughter Savannah because she was conceived in Savannah, GA. "But Mom, how did she get the name Concorde?" referring to her baby sister. "Others just like its really big back seat." ua-cam.com/video/LuaIJGJNbzo/v-deo.html Perhaps some people objected, because they changed it to end with "Concord, Massachusetts, silly."
I’ve done the same. I have 5 kids and I named them all after the city that they were conceived in; Monkey’s Eyebrow, Pee Pee, Intercourse, Chug Water and Slickpoo.
Paul's Models, no, he is not in bad shape. Upon reading your comment, I rewatched bits and pieces of the video, and based on his body language and movements I was able to ascertain that he is not in bad shape. His body language and movements are those of a healthy person, however, his face does look a little bit tired
I do not like this man. Yes, I did watch it as I like to study people - But this really helps me understand why his films are so generic. Where is the emotion? It's a brain in motion - his films lack soul. Now I know why.
Are you on psych drugs by any chance because your clearly impaired in some way Google him and look at all the A list movies he has made with the top actors for decades
Interesting character, doesn't mind looking like an old man, with glasses and a hat you can't see his eyes or his head. I easily could see him sitting alone at a McDonald's.
Well with all due respect he is an old man, but also someone the level of Spielberg that has entertained audiences in front of and behind the camera since the 1960 yet stayed sane unlike many in Hollywood that get into all the vices. Ron Howard is someone you could respectfully approach and say Hey I loved your movie and he would have a conversation with you. Never got that "I am more important than everyone vibe far too many get"
Ron Howard is an American legend. He is what this country has and should continue to aspire to be all about.
Could happily listen to Ron (Mr. Howard) talk about his early life and evolving career for, well, a considerable length of time. He's just so honest and sincere and *not full of himself, but at the same time visionary, assertive and driven. Go Ron Go!
Great series of interviews. Really interesting in depth conversations with one of the most talented directors in Hollywood for decades now.
I always think “Richie Cunningham” from Happy Days……..
Love the fact that lifelong fame as an actor and director and then wealth that comes with it has not changed Ron. He seems very grounded and above all, nice and normal.

Wow. Just realized how many movies I should catch up on! Ron Howard sets a great example in behavior.
I’m so happy his parents lived long enough to see his success. Ron Howard is probably the only child actor to transition successfully into adulthood. Still has his head on right after all these years.
Jodie Foster and Kurt Russell are two examples from child star to successful adult.
Shirley Temple, Raven Symone, Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman, Daniel Radcliffe, and many more.
This is up front and personal!!!! So loving watching a legend!
How can you not like Ron Howard?
My kids are named Basement, Laundry Room, and Back Of The Bus.
dude..🤣
Don’t you have a….BED!!!? 🛏️
Great interviewer, he is wonderful, does little talking, and a lot of listening. Bravo sir.

Graham Bensinger - nice work, sir. Ask good questions and get out of the way so the interview subject can speak. The anti-Howard Stern (thank god!).
Ron Howard is the Goat!!! Not a day goes by I don't watch Andy Giffith !!!

Opie's grand dad now in his 70s

So that's why his daughter's name is rebel Alley.
She isn't real

Hey, Dad.
What is it, Backseat?
Funny story. Ron’s never been to Dallas
I’ve done the same. I have 5 kids and I named them all after the city that they were conceived in; Monkey’s Eyebrow, Pee Pee, Intercourse, Chug Water and Slickpoo.
Need to head to Arkansas and get it on in Goobertown. That’ll be the topper.
Dont forget Blueballs, PA
Erin died in a trailer court in Indiana....screw Ron!!
And? What was he supposed to do, buy her a house? Would that fix cancer, alcohol and drug abuse?
@@DanJackson1977 It wouldn't hurt...
