- It is hard to beat a good perdigon style fly when fishing for trout! I tie them up in all different sizes and color variations. The variations that stand out and catch the most fish get to stick around and are given a name. I have not yet come up with a name for this one. Help me name this sweet perdigon!

Is there a reason that you did not color the wing case?
@@andyk914 great question! I will on some of my nymphs but to be honest, I have never seen a difference in how they fish between one with a colored black wing case and one that is not. What’s your experience been with or without the colored wing case?

@@CarlileFlynFowl actually I only tie black wing cases with black UV epoxy, so I have nothing to compare it with.
@@andyk914 tie some up without the black uv resin and fish them both and see which one does the best and let me know!
