    I really love how you can take an ordinary object or subject and turn it into something else completely extraordinary, Lindsay!! :) These are the most beautiful onions I've ever seen. 💜 The colors here are wonderful too. 😊

    Hullo Lindsay, I once thought if I just get to this point I will be an "Artist"! I will never doubt myself again! After 50 years it still has not happened! If I can just get out of my teens, Once I hit 30 I will be confident, and on and on it goes. I am retired now and the doubts still cling to me. I adore your solutions and your "stick to it ness" I do try and work through the ugly stage of an artwork. I have ripped up a piece of paper after I have done all I can, but if we just set it aside and let it be for just a while, it may come back as not that bad! So I offer this to anyone reading this : Do not give up on your artwork set it aside and come back to it later. you may discover a way to change it so you love it! You might decide there is nothing to be done and start over. Just give yourself a break and take it easy on yourself. You will discover hidden depths to your self and your work. Thanks for a wonderful video Lindsay, your an amazing Artist and truly wonderful person, Thank You.

    I just got my faber castell 30 set in the mail. Today they didn't work well on Paul ruebens glitter paper, but they worked really well on my grumbacher mixed media sketchbook, I have yet to try them on my arches will let you know tho lol I had been looking all over too see if you had done a Review and was so happy to this today. Perfect timing!

      Lol I also just got those markers a couple days ago, cause your Review convinced me lol. So happy I got them. I also got the white barrel liked those too now I have to complete the sets though I realized that they seem incomplete without the 30b set and the 24 set of the black.

    • @joymiller9668
      @joymiller9668 Рік тому

      I was able to put my Rembrandt chameleon paint on top of the black markers after they had dried for a couple of days on cannot bristol smooth paper without moving or lifting, granted I was trying to be gentle, but honestly thought theyd lift right up.

    • @thefrugalcrafter
      @thefrugalcrafter  Рік тому +1

      Good to know! The glitter might be rough. They should come tomorrow!

    • @joymiller9668
      @joymiller9668 Рік тому

      They probably worked best on arches hot press and baohong, whether on hot or cold press. They were surprisingly decent on the grumbacher mixed media, OK, on the cold press pulp. They were just OK on the bee paper . They did alright on Bristol. The issue with the last ones was getting the paper too wet but small amounts were OK and I guess that is about what you would expect. But ya I really liked them on the hot press 140lb Arches and Baohong. The paul ruebens paper was just impossible to get rid of original lines which may work well for certain needs

    I cannot wait to see you play with them.
    I recently opened a sub box that had the new Pantone markers. I’m curious if you have been given them to review? They are a head scratcher for me. And the reason is, how they are describing them seems a bit off to me. I would love to hear your thoughts.

    • @thefrugalcrafter
      @thefrugalcrafter  Рік тому +1

      They are fine but I don't think they are anything special. They are as good as winsor newton but in my opinion not as good as m graham or QoR

    • @sallygreenfield6991
      @sallygreenfield6991 Рік тому +1

      I'm a fan of Schmincke, too! It's weird because when I first bought them, I swatched them out and played with them a little, and I didn't think they were anything special, so I kept using other paints instead. However, over time I found that the finished product of every painting I do with them turns out to be one of my favorites, even when I didn't necessarily love the entirety of the experience of using them. If that makes sense. Now that I trust the paints more, I find myself reaching for them more and more. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm pretty sure they are a little bit magic.
