Great choice! These look real transparent and inconsistent. The Molotow ones are great, the was originally designed for graffiti artists that’s why they write on literally anything
The Acrylographs are great! I've been using them for a bit more than year at this point and I do like them better than my Posca markers, mostly due to the color range. My only problem with them is that A&O sadly discontinued the 3mm line and only has the 0.7mm now, so I won't be able to get replacement once mine are done. And the newer colors didn’t even get the 3mm sets. :( (though some 3mm sets hadn’t sold out completely the last time I checked) I've also bought a single Karin decobrush in black a few weeks ago and since I'm someone who does a lot of handlettering as well, I'm really appreciative of that one as well. It wouldn’t be what I'd choose for drawing smaller things, doodles or line art, which I really like the Acrylographs for, but it’s nice for either filling bigger spaces in a drawing with black or well, handlettering on virtually anything I could want a handletter on. :) I've actually thinking about buying a colored set, which would probably end up being the pastel one, since I'd want color variety and the basic set is a bit too, well, basic.
Another problem with the Acrylographs is, that A&O has started discontinuing the .7 mm pens from old collections as well, which is honestly downright annoying. I understand that they’re not able to have endless options, but it’s sad that that means even the most basic ones don’t get restocked. :(
Goddamnit, I have a big bin of Poscas, and I also feel like the ONLY thing I don't like are the nibs. (I have a few with the brush tips, and I actually dislike them even more than the bullets.) A copic-style nib would make them perfect. I did NOT need to know these exist. Great page, btw, love the final result.

Cute drawing! The thing I love about posca is its opaqueness (some colours are better than others) so I feel like posca is better for me. That's a good news because I already have so much of them^^
It’s not the same. The Posca are like real brush tips and it’s limited to 8 colors the last time I remember. But the Karin DecoBrush have felt brush tip and if you are someone who is precise, it’s far more easier to control than a real brush tip.

“Every shade you could ever imagine” MAGENTA. my biggest gripe about art sets of nearly any medium is that warm purples are almost always completely left out. 😐
And it's a primary color too! Before I realized that I was always annoyed that I couldn't make a good purple bexause there was yellow in my red for some reason! That's cause it's not a primary color... When getting new paints this time I got magenta, red, yellow, green, cyan, and blue and made the perfect purple with blue and magenta! I was so happy! I get that since mixing paint is mixing chemicals and using the tried methods are easier. But applying actual science makes color theory easier for beginners and we've known the science of color theory for a while! People need to start teaching the correct primary colors. It bugs me so much. 😆
I think these look like great fun and you could definitely get a far better range of mark making shapes and easier gradients and blends, I would imagine. Love your final illustration pattern, would look great on a pencil case! Stay safe and well💕

I've been working with Karin Markers for a while now. I prefer their water soluble line much more over this line. The acrylic paint markers are very juicy at first but if you want to draw larger areas they dry out in the middle of drawing and you have to wait quite a long time until the marker is juicy again. They work fantastic for calligraphy and small shapes like you did here but they don't work with larger shapes like poscas do. I really recommend the water soluble ones because they stay juicy and are so much fun to use and a bit cheaper as well. They're like watercolor brush pens.
Thanks for sharing, i see by reading the comments, that you’ve discovered the posca brush nibs as well, i was going to tell you of their existence lol. I like the look of these pens. I followed your Skillshare class awhile ago and also teach some classes on the platform. I really enjoy your channel, thanks so much 🌸
This makes me want these! I love my alcohol markers, but I originally started art with drawing and painting, so these would be a great way without the mess!
Very cute Chloe. I will be trying these out soon as in this months Scrawler box. Um I quite like using my Posca’s I have different nib sizes, love mixing posca with alcohol markers, um nope don’t think I will be getting rid of my ones anytime soon, thanks for the look at these very informative.
I only use my poscas to add highlights and other small details to my drawings, so the smallest bullet nibs are perfect for me. I honestly don't trust myself with brushpens since I really don't know how to control them well enough and have fucked up many a piece because of it
They've been very popular in the hand lettering / calligraphy community! And we also had some in the January 2022 Scrawlrbox! I really love them, I just can't afford many...
The Walmart paint markers are a pretty good dupe for posca markers the thing that goes wrong with the Walmart markers is that even if you keep the cap on them after you activate them the tip will dry up after a while but considering they are a dollar they are still pretty good if you need a certain color and don’t want to wait for shipping 😅
@@xxstaindrosesxx it seems like they have the same nibs as posca like a fabric type it seems as though the paint is slightly more runny than posca and drys up the nib faster
I might have to try some of these, I’m happy that they don’t seem to be a lot more expensive than in USD or posca here in Australia. I think individually they’re around $3.50 AUD
I loved the art piece you created! I also really love the digital art at the very end of your video credits! Both would make an awesome patterned paper for like scrapbooking or even stickers. Love the pens!
YAY more bears!! They are so cute!! I love your art style and I love watching someone drawing something other than a person/face/eye (which is so boring a basic in my opinion) Keep up the awesome artwork!
I think both work well depending on what your support is (paper, glass, fabric, etc...) 😮 I have Karin's set thanks to an art contest and a few Posca from a giveaway from my country. I like to paint with Karin better on sturdy cardboard or paper that supports it because its brush tip is comfortable. I've tried them on glass and they are great. I need to use it on fabric. The Posca may be due to the type of paper or cardboard that I have. I use it more for details not to fill in large spaces of color because I feel that the tip of it wants to tear the paper 😳 In glass they work excellent like the Karin ones 👍✨ The Poscas should be versatile because of their firmer tip types ✨ but I still find it cumbersome to shake and lightly press the marker because I don't want to waste paint 🙄. In Posca markers I have experience with a 3m tip but a set of 8 pastels and the 1m tip but with 8 basic colors 💖which is my favorite to use in details 😃 The tip of the Karin is more danceable but firm and still delicate...So far I think that both brands of acrylic are not rechargeable unless there is a trick that can be done because these materials are expensive. And I need to explore both brands in other media.
I got so excited when you said Karin has paint markers because I forgot about the decobrush markers lol. I still prefer posca. Posca does have a brush pen. But also posca just is more versatile and karin can be very finicky
I would love to try them. I will probably buy the small set. I can't imagine spending so much on a full set. I wouldn't stop using my Posca pens. I like them to much.🙂
i love Poscas but the color variety are all very bright. I don’t do bright art works so it’s not my thing personally, these sets of paint markers look nice because the colors are very chill and toned. (Some) it’s just kinda pricey 😭🪦
If you use a black permeant marker and draw a broad line across the page, you can then swatch right across it leaving a bit either side. This way you can also check the opacity of any paint/marker on your swatch. I’ve found this invaluable, especially if I do or don’t want to cover something up. It takes no more time and you gain extra information on your colours. I generally find opacity information on tubes to be a little off.
I've considered getting posca markers but something has always stopped me. Watching this made realize that it's the nibs and lack of ability to get super fine lines, which is a major contributor to my hesitation. If/when I can afford to invest in another art supply, it will be these instead of poscas! Thank you for making this vid 💗
Oh man- I love the look of these… I have a few Posca markers but I don’t they really suit my art style as the colours are so vibrant and saturated… these look like they have hues that fit better with how I like to colour and I love that flexible brush nib!! I know I’m going to be keeping my eye out to try them.
I love these markers so much and I bought them when they came out and I don’t regret it! My only issue is that I am sometimes scared to use them because they were so expensive :(
Adorable illustration 😊 those markers are so neat! I've been thinking of trying paint markers next in my exploration through art and I do love that they have a brush tip! I have chisel/nib alcohol markers and I always wonder how different it is to use the brush
I literally just got 4 of these in the most recent Scrawlrbox. We got Red, Bright Orange, Canary and Henna which is a really cute little Autumnal palette. I am like you though, those mint - turquoise - teal - navy - purple colours are my absolute favourites and I automatically gravitate towards them. As for the markers themselves... I'm just not sure. There are things about them that I really love. The fact that they come all ready to use is nice but I am not too bothered about having to prep Poscas, it's simple and quick enough. I like the fact that when the paint is laid down on the paper (and here I add the small caveat - I have only used them with the Clairefontaine PaintOn Smooth Mixed Media paper that came in the Scrawlrbox with them so it may be the paper more than the pens) it goes down in a very thin layer and doesn't feel thick and textured like Poscas do. Other than the slightly more mattified texture of the paint compared to the smooth paper surface you'd think it was alcohol marker or a thin watercolour wash and not paint/ink. However, this does have its drawbacks. I find that the more fluid consistency of the ink means that they don't have that instant opacity that Poscas do and can start out a little streaky BUT unlike Poscas these Decobrush markers can be layered like alcohol markers to give a smoother flat colour that looks amazing, and it dries so fast (almost alcohol ink fast!!!) For my swatch session I spontaneously did while watching this video I did 4 swatches of the same colour (red), the first just having one layer, the last had 4 layers and there was no trouble at all getting the pens to layer. The best part though?? THEY DON'T EAT THE PAPER!!! While I enjoy the novelty of painting on stuff that isn't paper with Poscas I would also really like to be able to just use them in my sketchbook or on some watercolour paper without it eating the surface and making whatever I draw look hideous! So far (again only tested smooth paper thus far - how was the watercolour paper?) they have been a real dream to work with on paper. That price tho.... 😬🤯 P. S - Oooh! Did you see that Mira used your paintbrushes set in her video (the one before her colouring book/Thomas Kinkade video). They look great and she seemed to love them too. 😊
Great video! I absolutely agree that brush nib is much more desirable for me than bullet nib. I'm just now starting my paint marker journey so its cool to see THESE! Great art at the end.

I was thinking the same. So they are not very opaque but that would work well with calligraphy.
If the nibs are plastic, you can probably take it out and soak it in water. Likely the nib just has dried paint in it. :)
For me, nothing will EVER beat Poscas.
I especially love their tiny rollerball-type nib markers!
Thanks for the review! I like Acrylographs much more than Posca, the colors are really pretty.
YAY more bears!! They are so cute!! I love your art style and I love watching someone drawing something other than a person/face/eye (which is so boring a basic in my opinion) Keep up the awesome artwork!
I love watching swatches
That illustration turned out so beautiful !
Love that final piece of art! so cute!
I have the Skrawler Box subscription and 3 of them came in one and I love them!’ And seeing the whole set I definitely need more!
Wow! I love your videos! You are a huge inspiration and one of the reasons I started my own UA-cam art channel! Keep creating amazing art!!!! 💕
You’re so kind! Thank you! Good luck with your channel :)
omg pleaseeee post a picture of the artwork on your ig it's so beautiful🤩❤✨
Oooo! These paint markers are so cool! I’ll definitely buy them someday. I really love your artwork you did! It’s so cute!
Those markers look like they blend so much better! Always love watching you create art!
Set looks amazing
Ooooh. I recently got a set of paul reuben oil pastels. They came in a really pretty and neat box to keep them in.
I think both work well depending on what your support is (paper, glass, fabric, etc...) 😮
I have Karin's set thanks to an art contest and a few Posca from a giveaway from my country.
I like to paint with Karin better on sturdy cardboard or paper that supports it because its brush tip is comfortable. I've tried them on glass and they are great. I need to use it on fabric.
The Posca may be due to the type of paper or cardboard that I have. I use it more for details not to fill in large spaces of color because I feel that the tip of it wants to tear the paper 😳 In glass they work excellent like the Karin ones 👍✨
The Poscas should be versatile because of their firmer tip types ✨ but I still find it cumbersome to shake and lightly press the marker because I don't want to waste paint 🙄. In Posca markers I have experience with a 3m tip but a set of 8 pastels and the 1m tip but with 8 basic colors 💖which is my favorite to use in details 😃
The tip of the Karin is more danceable but firm and still delicate...So far I think that both brands of acrylic are not rechargeable unless there is a trick that can be done because these materials are expensive. And I need to explore both brands in other media.
I got so excited when you said Karin has paint markers because I forgot about the decobrush markers lol. I still prefer posca. Posca does have a brush pen. But also posca just is more versatile and karin can be very finicky
I just wish that Posca had more colors! I need more shades!
I have to check out these brush pen paint markers oooooo
I would love to try them. I will probably buy the small set. I can't imagine spending so much on a full set. I wouldn't stop using my Posca pens. I like them to much.🙂
I kinda like the chonkyness of the Posca markers these look really small in comparison I wonder how comfortable they are to hold
Looks like a fun new supply to try. Thank you for sharing!
Hair color is gorgeous!!!!!
Your drawing at the end would make a very cute pencil pouch. Future merch?
i love Poscas but the color variety are all very bright. I don’t do bright art works so it’s not my thing personally, these sets of paint markers look nice because the colors are very chill and toned. (Some) it’s just kinda pricey 😭🪦
Ooh lala they look so fancy and cool. I love that I haven’t seen these anywhere else too! They look so fun and satisfying
I just ordered this same huge thing from Amazon because of your review 🥰
If you use a black permeant marker and draw a broad line across the page, you can then swatch right across it leaving a bit either side. This way you can also check the opacity of any paint/marker on your swatch. I’ve found this invaluable, especially if I do or don’t want to cover something up. It takes no more time and you gain extra information on your colours.
I generally find opacity information on tubes to be a little off.
Also your drawing on the glass mug is super cute :)
The artwork you did is gorgeous! I love the pattern!!!
Tried these for the first time in the scrawlrbox and they’re amazing!! 😍
Oh man- I love the look of these… I have a few Posca markers but I don’t they really suit my art style as the colours are so vibrant and saturated… these look like they have hues that fit better with how I like to colour and I love that flexible brush nib!! I know I’m going to be keeping my eye out to try them.
That turned out lovely
"I didn't know there were that many shades of gray." * chuckles in goth * XD
That one on the glass mug is super cute! Also, I LOVE that bear drawing that you did at the end! Keep up the good work Chloe!
P. S - Oooh! Did you see that Mira used your paintbrushes set in her video (the one before her colouring book/Thomas Kinkade video). They look great and she seemed to love them too. 😊
I love her sweater. It's so cute! 🐱❤
I like the pastel colours :) x
Great video! I absolutely agree that brush nib is much more desirable for me than bullet nib. I'm just now starting my paint marker journey so its cool to see THESE! Great art at the end.
I love the simple doodle sketch you did using the Karin ones. Until I saw your banner....haha, it's the same thing 🎨🖌️💐🎈🎉 well, the bears are so adorable 🥰
Your illustration is adorable! These markers look neat.
Your drawings are the cutest!!!!
Those remind me of DecoBrush paint markers that I used in the 90s way before I ever found Poscas. It looks like they rebranded them and improved the tip.
Btw, your hair looks amazing today!
It’s not the same brand. You are thinking of the Marvy Uchida DecoColor, which are still around and still very stinky. Karin’s Pigment DecoBrush are completely brand new to the brand.
Ooh I got a few of these in my scrawlr box! They're fab
14:00 that is so cute. I want it as a print.
I’m so happy just got these in a scrawler box!
Ok but your background is soooooooooooooooo CUTE! I love what you did with the new place!
I got some of the karin paint brush pens, in my scrawlrbox and I really like them, I've never used posca pens. I think the only thing I wish for any paint pens, I wish they would come out with some refillable ones 😅
But you did a really great job show casing these Chloe
Yes, I love the markers and I totally will want to get them. Thanks for creating and sharing this video.
👁❤️🎨. 👏🏻😍😁😘
I want this print on the front of a notebook or sketch book 😱
My scrawlrbox had some of these in it this month! They felt really good to use.
Those little doodles would make great stickers!
That bear is so cuuuute, I would love to see a group of them hanging out as a lovely print
Got a handful of these through scrawlrbox recently and this video definitely makes me feel excited to give them a try!
chloe!! posca recently released brush tip markers!
Aw, love your drawing!
Never heard of POSCAs having physical bristle brush pens either! Now I want some! I have the Karin watercolor paint pens and they are so juicy! In the end I’ve hardly used them because it felt like such a waste to just do random, practice pieces with them… :X They are rather pricey after all but they definitely feel premium! If I can make up my mind on what to do with paint markers I’d get a few of these :P
you are my fav youtuber ever your the best you inspire my art
Nice artwork keep it up and those colors are so nice
