Mate of mine from down the pub was a Major in the Royal Marines, he's in his 70's now but the other month a couple of blokes tried to mug him late at night while he was walking the dog... Needless to say they didn't get very far. "I introduced one chap to the cobbles and his companion had second thoughts." Were his exact words afterwards... Legend!
marines are elite versions of soldiers who specialize in multiple scenarios whether thats entering by sea, by air or land. so personally i think everywhere is the perfect place for a marine.
Not quite airborne insertions via parachute is now the exclusive domain of the RAF Regiment! The Paras now fast rope from choppers, as it is a more direct and less dangerous form of entry to the LZ. The only other dedicated parachute force is the SAS's Airborne Troop, but which is typically a small number of operators.
Its a demonstration of some ways they might fight, but obviously they don't want four marines ripping each other to bits to show it, so they are trained to do it safely
I agree but clearly if you look closely in this vid you'l see that they have some sort of protective thing where they get struck with the baseball bat.
Love how they play Pulse of the Maggots at the beginning

I'm training to join the Marines (Reserves) this time next year. This video has now fully taught me not to piss off any of the other boys in uniform!

it doesn't matter how hard you think you are or who you are, don't mess with a royal marine!
they go in first in the hard hitting parts mainly amphibious assault and you still get commando detachment like groups
