I have a 9 month old and I wish I had spent the newborn days like this. I was too eager to “get back to real life” which is such a shame looking back now. Getting back to real life isn’t a thing once having a baby either! With the next baby, I’m going to lean into the newborn days and stay in bed for as long as possible. Will probably rewatch this vlog a hundred times to remind me what it’s all about ☺️
Totally relate to that! Once you have the perspective of how fleeting these days are it's so lovely to be able to just lay around and snuggle your baby while they're so fresh and new 😍
I have 8 kids total. I’m 43 years old and when I thought i was done having babys i got pregnant with my 10 months old babygirl and I enjoyed my entire pregnancy and my postpartum days I didn’t experience any of that with my other kids because i was rushed to go back to work and leave my kids with my grandma. 😢 this last baby everything was so different and I wish I could have done it with my other kids. Thos moments will never come back.
Yes I have this regret too... now I'm pregnant with my second and I will definitely try to just rest and enjoy the newborn days.

Yes same with me. Postpartum depression took over me.
For my 2nd kid I am going to enjoy every moment.
3 days post partum with baby #3 and I’m feeling so blessed! In my country we have “kraamzorg” which is professional in home post partum care . It is almost entirely paid for by insurance and they come to your house for 8 days including your birth. They clean, wash, take care of mama and baby and other present family members. So so blessed!

I saw the specialist today, and I'll be delivering earlier than expected. She said i will be induced in a little over 2 weeks. I'm so excited, and baby boy is measuring 6lbs 6oz as of today, so he is very healthy.

I think home births are lovely. That said, I had life threatening complications. So be careful ladies. Make sure (obviously), you have great care. However our babies come into the world, they are a blessing.

Crazy to think our first was born at 8lb 11 oz and seeing your little guy 8lb 6 oz in this video I like flashed back to 7 years ago and I’m like dang how’d I do that 🤪 birth is the most amazing and special thing a woman can do. Being a momma is such a blessing. I love your videos and your positivity ❤️ expecting our little guy in 6 weeks so I feel a little out of the game them being so far apart. But your positive words are amazing so thank you ❤️

Currently 5 days postpartum with my 4th baby. I had a wonderful waterbirth as well but I can totally relate to the discomfort in your butt. I don't recall it being so bothersome with my other births but this birth even with no tears I still feel sore & my tailbone is the worst from the counterpressure.

Why is she the one getting laundry done 24 hours after birth?? Most people don't realize how important it is to stay in bed for days after birth. After giving birth you have a placenta sized wound on the inside of your body. If she had a placenta size wound on the outside of her body no one would think of her doing laundry or taking care of two kids two days after birth. If you don't give your body proper time to heal and rest you could end up in the hospital.

Yes he is!! Practice during the day to get him used to it even if it's just for one or two naps :) Jude wants to be held like 99% of the time but I think setting him down in there to sleep at least once a day makes it more familiar and easier at bed time!

@@lilbsbluvr07 We swaddle with arms in using the Halo sleep sack! He didn't love it at first lol but it was worth sticking it out because it helps reduce the startle reflex that wakes them up so often!
@@BethGraceMoore that’s the one I have too, I’ll have to keep working at it, he’s my first and whenever he doesn’t like something I just write it off too early.
@@lilbsbluvr07 I did that too and then he was up every hour so I was desperate and tried again 😂 after that it was way better!

Same here! there was only one in my area and she was too overbooked. Plus the hospital is so far away
We only use midwifes here. Doctors only come in with there is anything serious.

I was so looking forward to becoming a dad for the first time, and I thought my life with my son was going to be amazing. But months after his birth, my world fills with dread. My son has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Now what am I gonna do? Now he's gonna stand out in groups and in school. Be the misfit and weird one. Say dumb things and be socially faulty. I just wanted my son to be normal, but now he's gonna be different. Why couldn't he have just been born neurotypical? Now what the heII do I do?

Our small group does a meal train when people have babies and it includes a link to gift a GrubHub gift card. It was the most helpful thing (along with my husband have PTO).
