@Justinhomii that's false. Game of Thrones became the most watched show oat because of its greatness. The definition of good out weighs the 2 max seasons of meh/bad
Also poisoned a child, let Jane die; Hank, Steve, and Jesse wouldn't even be in this mess in the first place if not for him, and so on... So yeah he succeeded, at stroking his own ego before kicking the bucket. But he didn't help nor save anyone. His family is indeed financially safe, but even they'd probably agree the cost was too great. edit for the Walter fanboyz: I'm not saying Walter bad, everyone else good. Part of what makes this show so good is that there is no morally perfect character, everyone's flawed in some way. But Walt's still on the darker side of the spectrum compared to most of the cast.
@@Skinnyypeteethe way our system operates lots of people are forced into situations where "breaking eggs" can be justified to some extent. Would be really cool if we could fix that.

And I'm thinking that he was at the counter when Lydia got there, then moved to a booth(?) I'm thinking to remove a stevia packet he planted there too in case they sat in that spot instead of the table. Were those the only two spots they sat at during the series? Just thinking.....
This is some thing every Breaking Bad fan should know: Gretchen and Elliott’s inclusion in the finale wouldn’t have happened without a real life kid named Kevin Cordasco (August 5, 1996 - March 11, 2013). He was a fan of Breaking Bad who Vince Gilligan credits with giving him the idea for reintroducing Gretchen and Elliott Schwartz into the conclusion of the series. Kevin died at age 16 after a six-year battle with neuroblastoma. The episode "Blood Money", which aired on August 11, 2013 was dedicated to Kevin. During his final months, several of the cast and crew visited Kevin in hospital. Vince Gilligan gave him the prop used for Tortuga's severed head as a gift.

22:44 Jesse was held captive for about 6 months. The buildings like Jack's house aren't solid concrete. They have a very thin layer of Stucco on the outside, which has some concrete, but not nearly enough to stop a bullet. The Mythbusters built Walt's gun mount, to see if it would work. It's 100% functional, and it's literally just a few wrenches, a garage door opener, a bike chain, and the wheels of an office chair. And yeah, Jesse was the only "loose end". That's why we were so excited for El Camino, 6 years later.
So glad to have been a part of this journey since the start, Breaking Bad ends here but this universe has given some of the best movie/tv content of all time with Breaking Bad, El Camino and Better Call Saul. So stoked about your BCS reactions because I know you are going to love that show even more.
Now we come to one of the best endings to one of the best tv shows. Jesse is finally free even if his life is probably screwd. Even in the end Todd was just a creepily nice guy. Walter is in a weird limbo of semi redemption in that he makes things somewhat better despite never actually regretting his choices merely the consequenses like Hank dying. It is hard to say if he won or lost. He truly did lose his family. Hank is dead, Marie hates him, Jr doesent want anything to do with him and Holly will never know the nice father that she had only the monster he became or he maybe always was under the surface. The only one who would tolerate him is Skylar but at this point that is moot. On the other hand he earned noteriety and infamy after 50 years of the world overlooking him now his moniker of Heisenberg will never be forgotten and even Walter White will be whisperd and discussed for a while. And the final break upp between Walter and Jesse both realizing that they arent good for eachother truly a love story of the ages. Sadly there was one love that Walter never could truly get away from his blue meth. He died surrounded by the one thing that truly gave him meaning in his life and made him feel alive. All in all Bravo Vince. While Better call saul isn't really my cup of tea it is still a ride and a worthy succsesor to Breaking bad.
This might be my favorite finale to a tv series ever. I felt so many different emotions watching this, so much crazy shit happened and it was just so perfect. Still in my top shows of all time.
From episode 1 onward, Walter became a volatile chemical mixture of Heisenberg & Walt, with Heisenberg slowly becoming the dominant trait. In this final episode, we see the Heisenberg / Walt chemical mixture has stabilized for the very first time - both working in unison. It took that stabilization for Walter to finally admit accountability.
Here I am at 4 am on a saturday, after sleeping from 6 pm to 2 am, with a totally disregulated sleep, watching this dude reacting to the last episode of the best TV show of all time, so many emotions, I remembered when I watched it for the first time, thanks for helping me enjoy my night time
It'll be 10 years in 2 months and 12 days when Felina aired and it still leaves me speechless. So powerful and so incredibly bittersweet. The only bad thing about Breaking Bad is that after seeing it no other show will ever reach the same level for you. Better Call Saul came very close, many people think it was actually even better, but for me personally Breaking Bad still takes the cake. Most times I like to think them both (and El Camino) as one big story and the most beautiful thing about them is the fact that they elevate and make each other only better. Yet Breaking Bad is still the original, perfect, borderline life changing experience. Thank you for the fantastic reactions, it was a great joy to see how passionately you lived through the story and gave it the attention it deserves. Can't wait for you to check out BCS & El Camino!
This finale was such a moment! I remember how everyone in my class was discussing it the next day- students and professors alike. Great point about the concrete and the bullets penetrating it. I think the TV show Mythbusters put together a mock setting like in the BB finale and showed that bullets of an M60 would penetrate through concrete, which is insane! El Camino is next (Which is more of a epilogue for Jesse) and BCS! Awesome reaction Primate. This was an incredible journey to watch with you!
The scene between Walt and Skylar is the best part of this finale. Him finally saying/realizing "I did it for me" is the key moment of the entire saga, what really makes you realize it was all a great tragedy.
Walt always loved jessy as a son and at some point treaded him better and was more honest to him than his own family. But as Walt became more and more corrupted throughout the series he treaded his loved ones like shit, lied to them, doesnt matter as long as he was in control. Same with Jessy. He only wanted to kill him in the moment when he was responsible for Hank catching up to Walt and also kinda why Hank died.
YOOO! you actually called out the obscure cinematography in the intro scene with "the gift from god" ,because you were absolutely right. I heard that the crew struggled for a long time to get that angle from above with the car keys. This implies that the creators purposfully created that shot of being some sort of gift from a god. I personally believe that this god is actually people like vince gilligan and the other show creators because they are basically the creators of Walt's universe. Its a really cool detail in my opinion.
Todds reaction after his family was killed being pure admiration of what Walt just did always makes me laugh. He looks out the window and then says "Mr White" in a suprised tone like hes impressed with what he did.
When you finish watching Granite State, there are so many loose ends, you're like "How the hell are they gonna wrap this all up this in one last episode?" They frickin' do it!
Breaking bad may be the greatest show to ever air on tv. It’s one of a kind. Truly a stroke of genius in every aspect. Acting, writing, directing, all of it. Just genius.
A show I HIGHLY recommend is “Barry.” It’s about an assassin wanting to pursue an acting career. It’s genuinely a MUST-watch. It’s such a unique show, like it’s hard to even categorize it but the best way to describe it is a dark action/drama/comedy. Like BrBa, it also deals with a protagonist that makes morally wrong decisions & has a depressing final season. The show is also VERY hilarious at times.
What a great time its been rewatching this show with you every saturday! On a cosmic scale, I always saw Walt as a twisted force of nature that was a necessity in purging corruption that grew too great. Sad that its over but now it opens the door to BCS.
That ending is just amazing I wish I could rewatch it without knowing what happens next like the only person who could kill Walt is himself I also like how they killed Walt instead of keeping him alive like his story ended also el Camino shows what Jesse did right after he left.
of every reaction I've seen from Breaking Bad you were the most smart of all of them, you just say things trying to figure it out and it is what happens man hahaha
The greatest series finale in the history of television! The marriage of story, music and cinematography in the final scene is indescribably brilliant! It's so haunting and it stays with you long after the show is over. Congratulations and thanks to creator Vince Gilligan and the incredible cast and crew for making this masterpiece! And thank you for the reaction, great job!
I remember feeling bummed when this show originally aired, because it was such a great show that I looked forward to. I was really invested. It's so well done on every level.
The perfect ending. Walt really did redeem himself. He saved Jesse, avenged Hank and secured his family's future. He died a happy man, both Walt and Heisenberg. 1 down, 2 more to go before you finish the Gilliverse.
An epic ending for an epic TV show. We witness the best TV era EVER: Lost, House MD, Dexter, the golden era of TWD, Supernatural. It will never be the same. So much criativity running on simuntaneously.
Ah yeah. You were fun to watch, with him, Gretchen and Elliot! I freaking love that scene!! The more scared Gretchen gets, the harder I laugh😂 You are spot-on that he was dead inside rt there. His son wants nothing to do with him. That finished him. His self-loathing couldn't be more huge. And def a "f*ck it" attitude. So he went out, doing the deed that did him in. 😏
So, the episode is called Felina, right? Let me explain why. You see, it's actually a word composed of elements in the Periodic Table. "Fe" (Iron) "Li" (Lithium) "Na" (Sodium) Iron, is the dominant element in Blood. Lithium, is the predominant metal used in Meth manufacture. And Sodium, is a principal element in Tears. Rearranged, Felina also spells "Finale".
Bryan Cranston has two different images that people recognize, depending on what they watched from him: super dark, serious genuis OR a big silly, goofy dad. And I absolutely love them both.
im just thinking about all of jesses memories that he has where everyone in the situation is dead (such as the whole desert scene in to’hajilee and ozymandias) 😅
I’ve been watching your videos since wayyyy before you started breaking bad and I KNEW this would be your favorite show of all time. Unfortunately I agree that nothing will ever top this, but better call Saul is such a good epilogue to the universe as a whole. You’re gonna love it, especially the way it wraps up
Walt brought down the cartel, saved his family, saved his best friend, avenged hank and gomie, and died like he wanted. Walt is the goat tv character n i don’t see anyone coming close.
I've watched Breaking Bad maybe 5-6 times over the last decade and yeah, now I watch people react to it because it's such a good show that everyone needs to see!
Badfinger is one of the most underappreciated rock bands from the early 70s, and their frontman committed suicide before they really took off (RIP homie). The ending sequence of this episode with Baby Blue over the top, doing an encore four decades in the making, is one of the best ever pairings of any two unrelated pieces of media. Literally could not have commissioned a better song for that moment.
I’m so looking forward to Better Call Saul. BB is a masterpiece and has a faster pace, but in its own way BCS is such a work of art, and while the pace is slower both the filming and the character development are insanely good.
This show is absolute perfection. It lasted precisely as long as it had to. They coulda dicked around for another season or two, but nah, they knew the story they wanted to tell. Awesome.
That shot with Walter executing Jack honestly gave me The Last of Us vibes, which is funny, cause both The Last of Us and Breaking Bad’s finale came out the same year. Fittingly, both of those executioner’s shots happened in the finale, in the last few minutes. Talk about a grand finale though! It was a perfect ending to an incredible show and storyline, and a perfect ending for both Walter White, and Heisenberg. Walt did what he set out to do, as both Heisenberg, and as Walt. Heisenberg got his revenge, and some sort of closure between his loved ones, as well as his loose ends. Walt managed to provide for his family on his own terms, and mend at least a few of his wrongs. Even in the finale though, he was still split between Walter and Heisenberg. Heisenberg was planning to kill Jesse too, but Walt just couldn’t do it. Walt was wrestling with Heisenberg time after time, with Heisenberg usually winning. But that reunion with Jesse helped Walt finally prevail over his alter-ego 🕶️🎩
Ozymandias and Felina are both absolute perfection in this series. I remember being so mad after the finale because I knew that I would probably never see another television show this good again. Great review!
Thank you so much to reacting to Breaking Bad!This show means so much to me even though I only discovered it last year. It’s been awesome to follow it along since the S4 premiere:)
When i watched this finale i was by myself and i clapped it was just such a perfect series and i did the same with the finale of Better Call Saul two perfect shows back to back is insane to me
The name of the episode, Felina, isn't just an anagram for "finale," but its also a bunch of elements mixed into one word. Iron, lithium, and sodium, the core elements that make up blood, sweat, and tears.

I see you have the Breaking Bad Blues. We all go through it the first time we finish the show. It's a very sad day indeed.
What a journey it's been! Great to relive it with you bro.
M60 is actually 7.62 mm nato. The building it's most likely stucco, effectively plaster over Styrofoam or chicken wire
When he said "If we're gonna go that way, you'll need a bigger knife" that was Mike coming through.
When you finish watching Granite State, there are so many loose ends, you're like "How the hell are they gonna wrap this all up this in one last episode?"
They frickin' do it!
Breaking bad may be the greatest show to ever air on tv. It’s one of a kind. Truly a stroke of genius in every aspect. Acting, writing, directing, all of it. Just genius.
Sopranos is better.
13:30 "What are we building?" "You've said it yourself" "A robot?"
What a show man.. made me cry watching this reaction even. Pure flawless. This is cinema. 99.7 % pure.
I think Walt decided to save Jesse when he heard from Skinny Pete that Jesse was still cooking
That was a hell of a journey dude, very cool to see you go through the whole series. Great stuff, this show is just iconic.
What a great time its been rewatching this show with you every saturday! On a cosmic scale, I always saw Walt as a twisted force of nature that was a necessity in purging corruption that grew too great. Sad that its over but now it opens the door to BCS.
Honestly, the best written, directed, and acted show of the 2010's. It's so so good.
I like to think Walt was proud in how clean Jesse maintained the lab despite his situation.
Walt wears the same clothes he wore in the first episode.
20:36 never noticed this one before 😂😂😂
Walter died in a meth lab, the place that made him fell alive.
Amazing finale. Every re-watch leaves me marveling at the perfect trajectory from the very first episode to the very last.
Breaking Bad: Has a perfect finale.
El Camino and Better Call Saul: "We are done when I say we are done."
It’s been a hell of a ride. What a show.
The Gilliverse
An epic ending for an epic TV show. We witness the best TV era EVER: Lost, House MD, Dexter, the golden era of TWD, Supernatural. It will never be the same. So much criativity running on simuntaneously.
Mr Lambert is most dangerous Walts form, it's Heisenberg but without his only weakness, his ego, that what makes Mr Lambert so terrifying
Ah yeah. You were fun to watch, with him, Gretchen and Elliot! I freaking love that scene!! The more scared Gretchen gets, the harder I laugh😂
You are spot-on that he was dead inside rt there. His son wants nothing to do with him. That finished him. His self-loathing couldn't be more huge. And def a "f*ck it" attitude. So he went out, doing the deed that did him in. 😏
Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened
So, the episode is called Felina, right? Let me explain why.
You see, it's actually a word composed of elements in the Periodic Table.
"Fe" (Iron)
"Li" (Lithium)
"Na" (Sodium)
Iron, is the dominant element in Blood. Lithium, is the predominant metal used in Meth manufacture. And Sodium, is a principal element in Tears.
Rearranged, Felina also spells "Finale".
Bryan Cranston has two different images that people recognize, depending on what they watched from him:
super dark, serious genuis OR a big silly, goofy dad. And I absolutely love them both.
"Gretchitt and Ellien......" had me cracking up HARD. HAHA
im just thinking about all of jesses memories that he has where everyone in the situation is dead (such as the whole desert scene in to’hajilee and ozymandias) 😅
I’ve been watching your videos since wayyyy before you started breaking bad and I KNEW this would be your favorite show of all time. Unfortunately I agree that nothing will ever top this, but better call Saul is such a good epilogue to the universe as a whole. You’re gonna love it, especially the way it wraps up
I agree with you. This show is the best show in tv history. The writing like this will never be topped.
Name something better, you can't
@@Justinhomii
The sopranos is better
@@alainturret2076no it isn't
Walt brought down the cartel, saved his family, saved his best friend, avenged hank and gomie, and died like he wanted. Walt is the goat tv character n i don’t see anyone coming close.
It took almost 2 years, but Walt did it. He finally built a robot for Jesse.
10:02 LMAO the complete 180 from "Final form Heisenberg, doesn't care" to WAIT WTF?? xD
I've watched Breaking Bad maybe 5-6 times over the last decade and yeah, now I watch people react to it because it's such a good show that everyone needs to see!
Woohoo! What a journey man! Breaking bad in the books ladies and gents
That peaky blinders mention got me hyped for the future. That, sopranos and Mr. Robot, oooo I'm excited
At the end Walts bloody hand slid down the tank and left a blood trail shaped like a "W" symbolizing Walter White.
I'll check out this band more now.
*serious moment*
*dead silence*
Primate: "BIG ASS EARS!!" 😅Been so fun watching my favorite series with you, dude! It's truly one of a kind.
What a journey man. I've seen this show 2x, best of all time.
Ozymandias and Felina are both absolute perfection in this series. I remember being so mad after the finale because I knew that I would probably never see another television show this good again. Great review!
You still have El Camino to watch and then you have finished Breaking Bad.
It’s crazy that the last time Walt sees Walt Jr. There’s a laundry room between them.
"Watching reactions is the closest you can get to watching something again for the first time."💡
You just answered the mystery of why I do this. Watching other people watch something I've already seen seems ridiculous but that's totally it! Now it doesn't feel quite so dumb.
100%!
Man what a fucking journey this has been! Week by week, episode by episode every Saturday I’ve woke up excited to see these reactions! It truly has been a pleasure to watch this amazing series along with you🤝🏼
I think the reason he did save Jesse was for himself. He used Jesse as a distraction to start the gun in the car. It wasn't out of caring for Jesse
Been here since you started episode one primate absolute peak television at its finest amazing to see how far you’ve come man cant wait for the BCS Watch keep that amazing content coming bro.
my favorite BB reaction series was with you my friend. so happy to have been here and how you enjoyed it so much and with such a great analysis. so happy to watch Sauls journey with you next homie
Imagine the feeling, more or less 10 years ago when this came out live. 6 months of waiting for the last half the the series, then week after week till this ending.
I think we all had a similar jaw dropping moment of silence at the last scene. Mourning the end of Walt in a weird way.
One of the greatest finales I've ever seen. It's so satisfying that when I first finished it I was just smiling ear to ear. I really hope you start BCS too cuz despite having a much slower start it has a similar satisfying finale too.
“Big ass ears” 🤣💀 6:57
man crazy that this is finished now. I remember watching the first episode, couldnt wait for you to get here, and everything in between was awesome
It was a genuine pleasure rewatching this amazing series with you, Primate! I think I’m with you on it being the best tv series ever made. Looking forward to your watches of El Camino and BCS!
Glad you enjoyed it!
nothing but respect to my man primate for sticking to one episode a week, it must take an iron will to do it knowing the entire series is already out, couldn't be me tho lmao
I listened to the commentary for this entire show, and they talked about some of the alternate endings that they considered, one of them was Walt trying his meth for the first time and dying on some sort of psychedelic trip
