This movie is based off the book. And the real Jordan Belfort got the idea to write the book while he was in prison. Him and his cell mate would tell each other life stories and his cell mate eventually told him he should write a book. His cell mate.....was Tommy Chong from Cheech and Chong 😂
The great thing about that whole chest thumping scene is that it's completely off script. Matthew just started doing that, the cameras were still rolling and Leo joined in and you can even see in the scene where he's looking around like he's confused as to what's happening.
Jordan Belfort ended up sharing a cell with Tommy Chong, who was in jail for possession of paraphernalia at the time. Tommy is the one who convinced Jordan to write the book that this movie is based on
MY FAV MOVIE OF ALL TIME. I can’t wait bro And the real Jordan Belford was the guy who introduced him to the class at the end … and “the sea otter” is played by Henry zabrowski and is part of my fav podcast the last podcast on the left
I love the parallels between this type of story and Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul. Decent people who wanted something seemingly harmless like money or recognition, but once they get it their true selves come out and they ruin everyone else around them
This is definitely a favorite of mine. Such and insane story based on true events! The guy that introduced Jordan at the little expo is the real Jordan Belfort too. While Jordan was in prison his cell mate was Tommy Chong and Chong was the one to tell Jordan he should write his life story and thus the Wolf of Wall Street was made!
This is such an awesome movie! The entire cast ROCKS this, especially Leo and Jonah. What really blows my mind is that this is a true story... Wow these people live life at the EDGE!
It treads enjoyably over old ground, and has a surprisingly foul mouth, though rather than cruising along with the ease of Martin Scorsasy's best work, it tends to hobble, and it closes in a flurry of undecided endings.
Leo really shouldve won the oscar for this movie, not revanent. The oscar for the revenant almost feels like a makeup award since they dropped the ball by snubbing him for his role in the Wolf of Wall Street.
Nominated for 5 Oscars including Best Picture but lost 3 of them to 12 Years A Slave. I saw this movie on the FX channel 2 years after it's release and I cracked up laughing at how many f bombs were dropped, despite it was censored. The f word was used 569 times.
''Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far on Foot'' from 2018 is a film that probably won't get picked up but I'm going to recommend it anyway, mainly because I think it has Jonah Hill's best performance by far. After seeing that movie my mind was completely blown by the rawness of his role. Totally different than anything else he has done so far. It also has Joaquin Phoenix as a lead, giving a great performance as always and even Jack Black in a small role. Probably much different kind of film than what most people expect. It deals with very serious and deep topics with some pitch-black comedy and I personally loved it even while it didn't become a big hit among the general audience.
Watching the other penny stock brokers turn around and watch Jordan like he had just arrived from 500 years in the future is so fuckin funny, but nothing compared to Jonah Hill. "I'd just you know, drive it up to the country and open the door like, "you're free now."" LMAO
Margot Robbie is actually a huge fan of both Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio's movies ever since she was 17 years old. DiCaprio is a childhood crush.
Jordan has said this mvie does not campare to how much drugs he actully did and a lot of it is ture like the part where he chrashes his heli and when he thought he drove home safe but didn't
Money DOES solve problems. It’s just that evil & greedy people also create problems. And since our system benefits evil & greedy people, there are lot of them at the top.
Jonah Hill excellent in the film "Moneyball". It also stars Brad Pitt and is based on a true story. It may look like a baseball movie on the surface but it goes much deeper than that.

War Dogs!!!!!!
Fun fact, at 38:21, the guy holding the microphone who's introducing him to the stage, is the REAL LIFE Jordan Belfort who the movie is based on.
Fun fact: Jonah Hill took the minimum possible salary for this movie. He just really wanted to act in a Scorsese movie with Leonardo DiCaprio.
For me that salary of 60k would keep me stable pretty much a year, but for A class actor Like Hill? Damn, like receiving ten bucks from your mom😄
@@libraryofthoughts060k is plenty. More than enough to get by.

Ah yes, the movie that Margot Robbie became one of my celebrity crushes 😂
The movie that Margot Robbie became everyone’s celebrity crush
@@DarthSherm94 true lol

The movie Focus

I heard Matthew does that to get ready for a scene.
This movie is so wild, good and out of pocket lol 😂 but one of the greatest movies ever! ❤
Jordan Belfort ended up sharing a cell with Tommy Chong, who was in jail for possession of paraphernalia at the time. Tommy is the one who convinced Jordan to write the book that this movie is based on
They are breaking the fourth wall actually. Whenever the character addresses the audience, it's breaking the fourth wall. Not the third

love the shot of jordan falling down the steps at 31:35. It's like four steps total in the wide shot, but much bigger as he's rolling down
Jonah has a lot of roles that aren't just comedy. Moneyball is one of my favourites of his.
I just finished watching this movie, and I was like, “Man I wish I could watch someone react to this” You read minds man
✊
I mean there are plenty on UA-cam
I love the parallels between this type of story and Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul. Decent people who wanted something seemingly harmless like money or recognition, but once they get it their true selves come out and they ruin everyone else around them
Jordan high off the qualudes driving was fkn hilarious. One of my favorite scenes 😂😂😂😂😂
5:30 that was improv & leo was actually confused on what he was doing lmao
the guy who introduced Jordan in the end is the real Jordan Belfort haha

Jonah and Leo killed it in this movie, so did everyone else, but they’re the standouts for sure. Great movie
This was a legendary performance from Leo!
"What is that? A peach?" Roflmfao
Wolf of Wall Street is such a good movie! I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched it.
One of my favourite films of all time really excited to see your reaction
I have not seen you laugh this much at a movie. This one was wild lmaoooo
This is such an awesome movie! The entire cast ROCKS this, especially Leo and Jonah.
What really blows my mind is that this is a true story... Wow these people live life at the EDGE!
The crazy thing is the real jordan Belfort said real life was 10 times crazier than the movie
3:00 is that a peach 😂😂can’t stop laughing
If that's a peach call me Bowser 😂😂😂
😂
his wedding video would help the fbi identify his associates and track where the moneys going, see who they can turn into a rat etc
My absolute FAVORITE Scorsese movie of the 21st century! Love this film, cool to see your reaction.
Oh yeah, the film where once you watch it you become a cinephile because of how often you go back to that one scene
What scene??

Fun fact, the marching band in that movie is actually the temple university diamond band
By the 24 minute mark is my favorite speech most of my job is calling sometimes I’m in a bad mood then I play that clip and I dial 10 hour straight.
“Light hearted/crime style movie”. I can’t wait to see this reaction 😂😂

This whole movie had me dying laughing lol
This is where that anime meme “do you jerk off” came from

3:52 Hate to be that guy but it's breaking the fourth wall
It's usually the 4th wall we break, not the 3rd.
When you acknowledge the camera, it’s breaking the fourth wall. Not the third lol
fun fact the real jordan belfort is the guy that introduced him at the end of the movie
The guy at the end who introduced him was the real Jordan belfortt
War Dogs with Jonah hill in it that shit funny as fuck bro
It’s not very often you hear a Devo song in a movie, so I had a big grin at 22:26!

Another good Leo flick that was based on a true story is "The Aviator"-2004...

Barbie Margot IS phenomenal in this role ! I Love her

“The Beach” one of my favourite Leo movies! 🏝️
Speaking of, I’m due for a rewatch - been a while.. 🦈 🎥
PHONE TERRORISTS!!! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH his speeches had me pumped up and laughing at the same time
The rewatchability of this movie is surprising good
At the end of the movie, when he does that last seminar, the guy who introduced him was the real Jordan Belfort.
Margot Robbie is actually a huge fan of both Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio's movies ever since she was 17 years old. DiCaprio is a childhood crush.

It's definitely better to deal with your problems wearing silk pajamas.
@ItsAPrimate A PEACHHH AHAHAHAHA
More Martin Scorsese films:
Casino
The Departed
The Irishman
Where does Martin Scorsese get the god damn talent? He's one of cinema's true artists.
The man that introduced him at the seminar at the end of the movie is the real Jordan Belford. This movie was based on a true story
Money DOES solve problems. It’s just that evil & greedy people also create problems.

Damn you see Moneyball? Another more serious Jonah Hill role. Also great movie
Shutter Island is a really good movie with Leo
And now you have to be a connected rich kid to get anywhere near Wall St.
What a suprise! Love your videos and the fact you havent seen the wolf of wall street is insane! im happy though because we get a reaction out of it
Thanks for the support!
Yup! This was Margot Robbie’s big break. A few years after this (and because of this), she got the role of Harley Quinn and became even bigger
Crazy thing is they say he ended up being cellmates with cheech from cheech & Chong 😭😭😭😭😭 and he convinced him to write a book about his life
Getting rich will solve all of your problems and replace them with new ones.
It's like watching what American Psycho was a parody of but this is so ridiculous it almost feels like a parody itself.
Also Leo totally deserved the Oscar for this one.
American Psycho is about the cold-blooded people born into the scam. This is about an idiot who broke into it on sheer talent and balls.
Leo movies: start with What’s Eating Gilbert grape and watch all since then.
I love this movie
Jonah accept a lot less money the. He usually would for this role so he could get a chance to show his range a little
Glad he did
War Dogs is another fantastic movie with jonah hill
On new issue day! This is my favorite Jonah Hill character

The greatest movie oat 😂😂
The basketball ball diaries is a great early Leonardo DiCaprio movie
For sure not a crime drama 😂
need to see "Once upon a time in Hollywood" with Leo, brad Pitt and Margot is in it again too!
Jonah Hill excellent in the film "Moneyball". It also stars Brad Pitt and is based on a true story. It may look like a baseball movie on the surface but it goes much deeper than that.
The Departed would make a great reaction. Leonardo Dicapprio with this director again. That ones more of a crime drama than this one was.
Already on the channel!
WHO ORDERED THE SIDES?
One of my favorite Jonah Hill movies is War Dogs.
It was definitely illegal not just immoral. Just to be clear 😂
Gotta watch ‘Focus’ with Will Smith and Margot. Dope performance by both.
I love this movie.
3:55. Fourth wall lol. But yes
