    I totally agree!!! I wrote a book on diabetes management. I’ve sold 10 copies only but am proud of the book and would share information for free.

    Really enjoy watching your videos. I appreciate how deep you go covering the realities of tech sales. It’s easy to get views by talking about the large income you can generate and the fancy things you can buy but I like that you focus on the fulfillment tech sales has provided you beyond the tangibles

    I’m thinking about getting into tech sales, I keep looking up day in the life just to see the work to life balance because I’d like to sell a product or whatever that I actually believe in, as well as be able to support my family moving into this kind of career. I only have a HS diploma though so idk how much money I’d be able to earn doing something like this but I do think it’s something I want to pursue. Not just for the money but also as a foot in the door to the tech world that’s always fascinated me and to grow my communication and interpersonal skills

    Our career trajectories look similar. I've been an engineer for 4 years and looking to break into tech sales in my late 20's to match my personality, meet more people, and make more money. Looking for the best free bootcamp I suppose. Will be binging your videos over the next few days. Thanks

      Nice, that is a strong background, what kind of engineering?
      With regards to a free bootcamp I'm honestly not the best equipped to know which one is best. I do offer a bootcamp myself, though full transparency it does cost money.
      That said with or without the bootcamp let me know if you have questions along the way. I know not everyone is in a position to pay, and I also have a ton of people asking me for my time in addition to the 9-5 which is why I had to create a bootcamp/offer paid coaching.

      @@techsales-higherlevels how much of your job is cold calling? Is it super draining? That’s my only hesitation. Scared to leave an engineering job for tech sales only to find out I hate it and then can’t find my way back into engineering

    • @techsales-higherlevels
      @techsales-higherlevels  Рік тому +2

      @@danman807 I don't mind cold calling. High quality companies have reasonable expectations around it, but you usually have to be at a solid company. One of my graduates is at a market leading large tech company and is only expected to make 20 a day that are highly targeted and personalized.
      I would avoid a place that wants you to make 100 or more cold calls a day. More than 50 and you won't learn much.

    I was wondering what separates you from Course Careers?

    • @techsales-higherlevels
      @techsales-higherlevels  Рік тому

      Not too familiar with Course Careers, that said, our course was created by reps at both F500 tech leaders as well as high growth startups. The creators of the course are still actively employed in tech sales and on the front lines every day.
      We typically work with folks that have a college degree or 3-5 years of work experience as opposed to being a complete college alternative. Having transitioned from engineering to sales myself, we built the course for people looking to make a career change. That said we are working with folks that don't have a degree but have professional working experience.
