I don't know if it's my favorite thing to track but definitely my most vital thing to track is when I pump and how much I pump each day. As a working mom, I have a LOT to juggle and everything I do (stress levels, what I eat, exercise, etc) affects my supply so my planner really helps me to see how every component of my life is working (or not working!) together
My goal this week is to wake up a few or 5 minutes earlier each day to eventually wake up earlier at the time I would like to. I struggle with waking up on time and I figured if I try for a few minutes earlier each day eventually it will be easier than trying for 30 minutes at once. I actually like to write the time I wake up each day in my "Today's Focus" area so I can see the times and hold my self accountable for the progress or lack of progress. This also helps in seeing the times and how I handle each morning. I love that we all use our planners in different ways. Thanks for the tips!
This sounds so cheesy but after a year of severe depression, I've been slowly trying to rebuild my life and habits. I identify as a strong academic student so almost failing my senior year and having to take a gap year because of my depression really brought me into a spiral of hopelessness and helplessness. I can't stress enough how grateful I am for the Passion Planner for being such a helpful tool in bringing me back up. It allowed me to look at my life beyond my present state and be more excited about what I can make out of my life instead. For the past 2 months that I've been using the planner, I've tracked my habits and moods which has really helped me see the patterns of my behaviour and how that affects/is affected by my mood and has allowed me to better manage my depression. This month, I'm excited to do a GRATITUDE LOG! I found it on the blog through the Passion Planner newsletter and I've actually sketched it into my planner and listed the suggested prompts from the blog as well. Thank you Angelia for creating this empowering tool and platform. You inspire me!
Thank you for sharing your story, Agatha! Honored that Passion Planner has been able to be alongside you, in your journey. We wish you the best and glad you found the blog post on gratitude!
I love my passion planner! This is the first school year (of a 20+ yr career) that I’ve kept a weekly planner. I use it for all of my personal and professional notes and it has become my sketchbook as well! I am going to start a new yoga practice and will track that in my book.
I want to track my workouts this week. I am trying to get back into the habit of going to the gym because I want to get healthier, back in shape and lose weight.
I decided to attend university at the age of 56 - all online, full-time, with the goal of having a BA Major in Anthropology and a Minor in History. I never attended university when I was young and the experience has been..wow... I have been searching for the best way to keep track of all my assignments and readings etc. I have been experimenting with different planner formats and I would LOVE to see if Passion Planner will work for me. Keep up the great work - I've enjoyed your 10 things and Five hacks videos!
This is awesome! I am 47 and currently attending university, part-time, majoring in Anthropology with a minor in Religious Studies! I love my Passion Planner for work and school!
Jill Armstrong: Hi. Congratulations on your decision to attend university. I, too have decide to continue with my education at age 55. Wishing you all the best. Let’s stay in touch and stay motivated!
I'm tracking my weekly spending money budget. Our non-fixed expenses (groceries, eating out, little odds and ends, toiletries, etc.) is a lump sum that is delegated on Sunday of every week. I subtract each day's expenses from that amount. No going over, or borrowing from the next week! It really helps me focus on what is necessary for that particular moment, and what is NOT necessary. Also, it's easy to stick to, because Sunday is always coming. I'll use up the groceries in my fridge instead of being tempted to buy more stuff...and, I wait to spend. Tracking week to week like this has really changed my habits for the better. And, we are saving $$$$$ :)
This week I’m tracking several things in my habit tracker, but one in particular is days that I don’t drink alcohol. My husband and I are attempting a period of sobriety for fitness, wellness, budgetary, and mental health reasons. Every day I don’t drink alcohol, I get to draw a little heart in that box and seeing 7 little hearts in a row reminds me that I’m kicking ass. Thanks so much for all the inspiration Angelia!
Peak energy time and the Frixion pen!!! Gold. I want to track unscheduled employee meetings. I have scheduled meetings with my directs but it doesn't look on paper like we spend much time talking about work. I want to get a better handle on where my time is being spent.
These are such great tips. After the Easter break I've lost my rhythm of waking up early hence my morning routine is all over the place. I commit to waking up early at least 3 times this week to get me started. Thank you so much for a great video.
Since using my passion planner for the past two years I've seen a MAJOR drastic improvement in organization; less wasted time, saving MORE money, and a calmer mind. I'm beginning my doctorate program this fall and I know for certain, that my organized planner will aid in my success. Many that I know struggle with finding time to write and their BIGGEST complaint is that of procrastination--but in reality, their issues are resistance. These planners have helped me to see the reality of my time & exposed my past laziness. I'm not lying to myself about what I can and cannot do, because everything is in color on my weekly planners. As an educator, these planners have helped me to organize my time more at work so that I am not having to bring papers home to grade. Thanks for helping me to become a better version of me.
Love this!! Thank you for taking Passion Planner on your journey to reach your doctorate! Love hearing about your honesty and self-awareness. I'm sure a lot of us can relate to resistance and what is actually getting in our way instead of just naming procrastination. Thank you for sharing!
Girl - you're so smart. You created a product to sell - a product that is awesome - that allows you to freely help people, offer advice, make so much content available online for FREE - because your product is awesome. More power to you! One word of testimony - when I got my first Passion Planner for Christmas a few years ago, I had never heard of it. My husband found your Kickstarter campaign and got one for me. When I opened it and saw what it was, I cried. He knew that I was struggling with time and priorities and that I was desperate to improve that. I knew this tool was going to make a difference in my life. Four years later, I'm still learning how to really make it work for me but it HAS made a difference and each year, even each month and week, gets better. Love this planner and I will continue to sing its praises!
I have found this planner so effective. I'm a professor and I track my writing, but this week I've been keeping track of grading. I'm almost done - ahead of schedule for the first time!
On April 1, 2019, I added 5 Keystone Habits in my planner to track for myself. When I get these Keystone Habits ingrained into my daily routine, I know that they will impact everything I do, how I feel and how successful I am. :-) I am finding a definite pattern and I now know where I am dropping the ball the most and can improve on those areas.
Wow! This is great Maysouna! So cool to see this perspective with tracking your routine! Big fan of how you called them "keystone habits", thanks for sharing!
I have 3 planners that I bounce between because they each have singular strengths. Okay, I'm sold. This demo shows me that that your Passion (Pash) Planner can handle a mind the operates like mine!
The thing I will track this coming week and more weeks to follow if I manage to get thru my evening without unhealthy snacks. I love my passion planner, in 2018 I reached all my goals I set out to do and I really hope I will reach my new goals this year too.
This coming week I will be tracking jobs applied to. I've got a digital tracker made in Google Sheets, but I find myself enjoying the tactile sensation of writing it down. It's great to see it all on one massive digital sheet, but I'm finding it more difficult to make a habit as I like to put items in on my laptop and not punch things in on my phone. Cumbersome.
thank you very much angelia! passion planner really changed my life. I couldn't afford to buy it but I printed out all the pdfs and put them together myself and its amazing. currently I am tracking an online course which has so many parts. passion planner makes it organized and gives me piece of mind to focus on one, important thing at a time! thank you again!
I want to track my gratitude because I know what you give your attention to grows! I need to be more intentional about being grateful for the many blessings in my life!!! ✨🙌🏼✨
I’m going to track the amount I read for enjoyment/self-care. I did great in January and February (combo of New Years resolutions to read more and weather) but have struggled the last two months. Tracking the amount I read will help with accountability.
Really like this series that Angelia is doing! The one thing that I want to track is my planner is applying my personal and work to-do lists in order of priority. This will help to remind of me of the items on the list that I really need to get completed and the ones that can wait.
I am going to track the amount I study! I have my nurse practitioner boards coming up and I am in the process of figuring out what times work best and are more productive to study! Thank you for the tips!
So I love the idea of habit tracking in my Passion Planner, but I didn't love printing and taping in a new tracker every week. I started using one section of my to-do list at the bottom to make a little mini Habit Tracker. I use the existing lines and draw horizontal lines to make little squares to cross off as the week goes on. This limits me to only tracking a few habits at a time, which is actually a bonus for me - if I focus on just a few habits, I'm much more likely to actually be successful following through! Keep up the great work with these videos - I really enjoy them!
I am tracking 5 things:1. Laugh every day, 2. Watch the 2 bird nests in my back yard, 3. Do one random act of kindness M-F 4. Move every hour M-F 5. Make a Kentucky Derby Hat Everything else goes on my To Dos....What I choose to track is that which often gets dumped because of time for To Dos runs out. My self care is important so tracking is the reward.
Couldn't agree more with you Diane. I think a lot of times we don't pay attention to our self-care or stop to really check in and see how we're doing, especially with the items we constantly work on. Hope you get to that Kentucky Derby Hat! 😄
I just started tracking one thing/event from the day that I am thankful for. I mostly do it at the end of the day and it is a nice way to reflect back on the day before going to bed...even if it hasn’t been the best of days there is always something I can remind myself to be thankful for and get my mind on a more positive track. I just recently watched a planner review about the passion planner and have to say how impressed I am with the layout. It looks very functional and the printable pages online to customize it are a great idea as well.
I'm using passion planner for my web design / seo business so one thing I track is sales activities. It's important to keep the pipeline full when you have a business with variable income so I need to ensure that I'm doing sales-related tasks on a regular basis. Things like following up with a potential client, preparing a proposal, etc. :) On a side note, including you, three people have recommended the frixion pen this week so I will definitely be buying some! One person said that leaving a planner in the car could cause the ink to disappear so that makes me a bit nervous. He said people have reported that putting it in the freezer for a while brings the ink back LOL
Glad to hear Glennette! So cool to see Passion Planner used in that context! And yes, we recommend using a Frixion Pen, but there are a lot of other great pens out there that the Passion Planner Team love to use!
Awesome!! Thanks! Great to see that you too have a cup (mine is a jar) with colours!! I love the idea of the numbering! My mind map says to do them 5 times a week, NOW i know how to record each time I do them so I can SEE how I am doing!!!! Thanks Angelina!!!
I've struggled with anxiety for many years, so I love tracking my daily levels of anxiety in the morning, afternoon, and night. It's very helpful to see how it fluctuates throughout the month based on what activities I'm doing. I hope to find a pattern so maybe I'll be able to overcome my struggle.
"It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to start." Since gasoline prices are creeping up, I plan to track how much time I spend driving in the course of a day; how much of that is to/from work; driving for my work; running errands; and then to evaluate the efficiency of planning this sizable part of my day. I may graph it out. Also to look at weekday vs. weekday, and Saturday / Sunday.
I'm going to track the time I spend just relaxing with my kids. So much of being a mum is goal-oriented (homework, co-curricular, getting ready and out the door etc.) and I want to teach myself that having down time together is just as important as the goal-oriented times I spend with my kids.
I'll be moving to a different state by the end of September and I'm using my planner to keep track of apartments to message and jobs I want to apply for/have applied for. My goal is applying to 7 jobs a week and email 2 apartment complexes to check rates and availability
I could be classified as a planner junkie. I try new ones, buy programs, always trying to figure out how to use them effectively. I need to learn and gain competency in planning using Passion Planner. It has everything I need.
I want to track how to start my own photography business! I currently work in an admin job and I’m not really enjoying it, so I want to start making steps towards building up my own business and plan how to market myself well, build a client base, and make enough income to live off it. It’s such a daunting prospect, but I’m so excited at the same time!!! So I hope a passion planner could really help me structure my time and resources to lift my business of the ground... ◡̈ Thank you so much for your tips btw! Particularly the energy levels one... will try and figure out when I’m most productive in the day xxx
This week I added pages (printed pdf of weekly spread from your website) for time tracking (like you talked about in the video). This is helping me to see where my time goes throughout the day, and I feel like I have been more productive this week because of it! Can't wait to try again next week!
That's awesome Sami! So glad to hear your feeling more productive! We hope you continue to find a process to help you get better and better as time goes on!
I like to track how much I journal. I discovered that my sanctuary is not a place, but a process and that process is writing my thoughts down. I track this to basically see how many times I wind down and reflect
Iretta thank you for sharing this! Such a good practice and note to remember in such busy times. We hope you continue to reflect and enjoy the process of slowing down! 😄
I'm working on my first novel and struggling with keeping myself focused on the writing instead of research and other distractions. I'm going to track how often I sit down and write (even if I have to throw it out later for something better). I'm also going to track how often I practice mindfulness each week, which I am hoping will help me become more focused on my goals by keeping me grounded in the present moment.
I definitely like to track memories, especially the very memorable ones that have happened. I’ll write little stories about what happened, write a quote from a conversation, or sketch a mini picture of the event
Love that Briana! A lot of Passion Planner team use their planners with that in mind. It's such a great to look back and reflect on the weeks/months! 😄
Thanks for the additional tip (*love those pens*) and the habit tracker so need that and i will add it next week ... it crazy I see Passion Planners everywhere now that I got one 5 weeks ago ... thank you :)
I want to start tracking my moods and energy level in my PP as well as hours (and times) of sleep and meals to see if there’s connection between my depression/anxiety and sleep/food intake . I’m not exactly sure how I’ll do this yet but I’ve watched UA-cam videos and got some ideas. I don’t use the to-do list section so I’d like to do it there.
I think the really useful one is to turn our goal into a measurable way! I heard of this word many time about measurable but finally understood while watching from you :) and also put things down 1 week ahead is so incredibly useful! now I want to start my planner because I saw that method from you :)
I want to track my bills and make sure Im on top of them. Also, writing things down, like picking up my parents medicine helps me not be as lazy and get things done! Im currently using the passion planner pdf print outs, thank you for those as well :)
I love my passion planner. I am the only planner interested at my job.. i was quite shy to take it out and write on it.. no more. People get distracted at meetings looking at my spreads.. but I am done having a thousand papers lying around.. I have been using my passion planner for 5 years now
Hi Cheryl, we also have water trackers on our site if you would like something that you can easily print and put into your planner! Thanks for sharing!
I am tracking my sleep quality/hours/bed time along with how fatigued I feel and when I get headaches. Looking for relationships between sleep health and how I feel.
o much to track. First that comes to mind is food. Then as you mention in this video times of energy level and put those items that require more energy, brain power in those slots.
I used to love Frixion pen until oneday I left my note in the car on a hot day and hot weather removed all the very important notes I have taken. So I don't use it anymore.
Thank you for sharing Lorien! 😄

This sounds so cheesy but after a year of severe depression, I've been slowly trying to rebuild my life and habits. I love my passion planner! This is the first school year (of a 20+ yr career) that I’ve kept a weekly planner. I use it for all of my personal and professional notes and it has become my sketchbook as well! I am going to start a new yoga practice and will track that in my book.

Jill Armstrong: Hi. Congratulations on your decision to attend university. I, too have decide to continue with my education at age 55. Wishing you all the best. Let’s stay in touch and stay motivated!

I'm going to track the time I spend just relaxing with my kids. So much of being a mum is goal-oriented (homework, co-curricular, getting ready and out the door etc.) and I want to teach myself that having down time together is just as important as the goal-oriented times I spend with my kids.
Totally agree with you, Christa! Thank you for sharing. 😄
I'll be moving to a different state by the end of September and I'm using my planner to keep track of apartments to message and jobs I want to apply for/have applied for. My goal is applying to 7 jobs a week and email 2 apartment complexes to check rates and availability
Best of luck Caitlin in your transition! We'll be rooting for you as you look for a new living situation and job! Send positive vibes your way! 👊
I could be classified as a planner junkie. I try new ones, buy programs, always trying to figure out how to use them effectively. I need to learn and gain competency in planning using Passion Planner. It has everything I need.
Targeting your most productive time period is a great tip. I. Going to use that.
Thank you so much for your tips btw!
Best of luck in your journey with working on your novel! Thank you for sharing Cheryl
Hope tracking in your PP helps! Thank you for sharing!
Youre awesome! :)
I think the really useful one is to turn our goal into a measurable way! I heard of this word many time about measurable but finally understood while watching from you :) and also put things down 1 week ahead is so incredibly useful! now I want to start my planner because I saw that method from you :)
My favorite thing is your training on Habit tracker. I think that is profound. I will download that tool today. Thank you very much.
That's awesome Ray! Good luck with using it and hopefully building solid habits!
I want to track my bills and make sure Im on top of them. Also, writing things down, like picking up my parents medicine helps me not be as lazy and get things done! Im currently using the passion planner pdf print outs, thank you for those as well :)
Thank you! We're glad to hear the PDF's have been helpful! Thank you for sharing!
Super helpful video!
Thank you Siobhan!
I love my passion planner. I am the only planner interested at my job.. i was quite shy to take it out and write on it.. no more. People get distracted at meetings looking at my spreads.. but I am done having a thousand papers lying around.. I have been using my passion planner for 5 years now
Going to track my food diary, bowel movements and blood sugars for my doctors as well as my gratitude journal for me

I am going to track how many days I spend writing my dissertation - it tends to get backlogged for my gig-related tasks
Thanks for sharing Cindy!
I'm going to track my water intake. 120 oz everyday. Bottoms up. Cheers.

I want to track my yoga practice. I feel so good when I practice, but I find that yoga gets ousted for some other task.
We feel you Cindy! So many times we disregard things that are important to us. Prioritize those things that matter the most to you and keep at it!
I am tracking my wake up time to get ready for work Monday-Friday. It varies in 15 minute increments.
We're big fans of the early mornings here at Passion Planner. Thanks for sharing Kimberly!
I used to love Frixion pen until oneday I left my note in the car on a hot day and hot weather removed all the very important notes I have taken. So I don't use it anymore.
Oh no! Sorry to hear that!
I'd love to see a tracker for the whole year so I can track my weight.
Love that! Consistency is so key when you're trying to do something like that! Thank you for sharing!
