The smell of little Debbie oatmeal creme pies remind me of my great grandmother. That, and oreo and vanilla oreo cookies. Every time I went down there, I'd go straight to the oreo, the oatmeal creme pies, and vanilla oreos. Then she would pay me 50 cents to sweep her sidewalk. If I was being bad, she'd get out the fly swatter. Lol. Gotta love old folks, god I miss her and my grandpa.

Made these cookies yesterday. . . I subbed butter for the shortening, and then I was careful not to over cook them (because I know that shortening makes for a softer cookie.) Mine looked more difficult to handle than the Diva’s 😉, a little too delicate really, but they were super soft like lil Debbie. I chilled them to make them easier to handle for frosting (also subbed the frosting here for a vanilla Swiss buttercream - my first ever, which is a fun technical challenge.) So yeah! Great cookie and very unique cookie recipe!

G 0:34 I went off your recipe on your website. In your video you added 2 eggs, but your site says one egg. Also on here it looks more like a tablespoon of molasses on the site it states 1/2 tsp. My batter came out very dry. I'm not sure what happened, but that's a lot of ingredients to waste as well as money. My Dad was a baker, all of us children bake as well.
