- A lot of you guys have asked for this tutorial, so here it is! This is my own personal Pre-Match Warm-Up Routine for Goalkeepers, and the one that I use before my own games. I hope that it brings you some value; you can copy the whole thing if you wish, or pick and choose bits to add to your own warm-up routine, but I hope there is something in there that is educational or insightful!

One thing I picked up that I liked is that the return throw you mentioned to alternate hands... Not just right if you're right handed. I could see this just improving strength and coordination.. that said I know because my Top left bin saves are possibly my weakest being right handed!!
Definitely!! Small details, but helps a lot with coordination and ball handling

Great vid! I'll be going back to goalkeeping after about a 2 year break. Do you have any videos about drills to do when coming back after an extended break? Or any suggestions for drills to focus on rebuilding the fundamentals?
Just the basics! Build up slowly, because it will take your body a while to get used to everything again, so try and work on different areas of goalkeeping, each day; handling, positioning, crosses, speed, strength, distribution, flexibility etc. Build that up slowly over time & add in more as you improve

Conor, couple of questions. 1) Kaliaaer glove sizes, TTS or need to go up or down like the new Nike VG3's. 2) What leggings/tights are you wearing/suggest. I'm in need of a pair that don't rip after a couple of wears on 3G.

Hi Paul, thank you very much mate, glad you're liking the videos! 1) All of the different Kaliaaer gloves that I've tried have been TTS, so no problems there. 2) I normally buy my tights off Amazon! They don't last forever, but always get a good amount of time out of them

What would you suggest for warm ups that only last about 10/15/20 mins. Would it be better to do more drills and cover everything, with less reps. Or less drills but more reps
Personal preference really! I'd probably do more drills with less reps!
I get tiny finger injuries and general injures on hand area in match. Sorry for stupid question, but do you think that every injury in hand make it even tougher and stronger after recovery ? And want to know your takeaways about it ?
Maybe have a look at taping your hand/wrist/fingers? That can help. I have a video on how to do it if you need!

Hi I’m quite a short keeper at 13 and in full sized nets and pitches do you have any tips for saving crosses going especially back post
Work on your footwork & timing, and maybe start some plyometrics to start improving your jumping & spring!

I like to consider myself a good keeper but I think if I could jump and catch crosses better I would stand out a bit more for my team

Maybe in the future. It's very dependent on the positioning of the other players/the ball etc. Were you thinking about a particular situation?

Lets say your game starts at 3 what time do you start your warmup and what time do you end
I would normally start my warm up between 2-2:15, and probably head in about 2:50

Yes, maybe a few less reps if it's a shorter warmup!
I only get 10 minutes with my friend who trains me in goal and we don’t have much space so I can’t really train distribution
I have a few self-training videos and self-training programmes on my website that should help!
May the I ask why in between every shot you mess around with your gloves for 1/2 second

No mate, these ones are negative cut. But Kaliaaer do have other gloves which are roll finger

Thanks Joe. I've played in different countries, with teammates who all speak different languages. Some don't speak english, and don't understand 'keepers', so instead of changing what I shout based on the language, I just use my name
