A word of warning if decorating hangars is something you want to do yourself. Physics items are affected by thruster wash from ships, so be very careful as you come in to land or takeoff. If you point your ship in a way that directs thruster wash toward those items they will get blown around. Staging vehicles is really nice for when you need them, but be mindful of the performance cost if you want to flood your hangar with spawned ships and vehicles. If your rig is already not the strongest then you may want to avoid this. This is such a nice feature overall, particularly for group play. It is nice to have crates ready to go with food, ammo, weapons, and armor for party members. Or even have crates with extra mining gadgets and consumables for your next mining trip. But what are your thoughts? Are you planning on building out your hangar like a base of operations, or are you not going to even both with this feature? It would be amazing if they added a small hab in one of the corners of the hangar or better yet have a hab that overlooks the hangar so when you wake up you and look through the window into your hangar and take the stairs to go down. Kinda how the Revel & York hangar had back in the hangar module days
I don't understand why everyone keeps saying they want a hab at the hangar...that was never the intention for CIG and will never be added. Your hab will be your hab...in the city itself.
Just to be clear, the 3.24 hangars are not the personal hangars cig sells on the website (self-land, aeroview, etc.). And yes hangars are not your hab, but i guess they may have beds to logout.
Hint, you can open Cargo Boxes INSIDE the inventory on the Freight Elevator, just double click it. Send one box to the elevator, double click it, it will open, put all the itens you want from right to left and send the elevator up with the cargo box and the itens you requested.
When I first logged in I had a large hanger, I bought stuff it took hours to set up. It was very buggy as heck to place vehicles, furniture and gear. So I logged out after I finished. day 2 I pulled the same ship as day one but this time It gave me a Medium hanger. All my stuff is gone. So I guess that’s how that went.
there was a Big Benny's vending machine as a sub flair item at one point, was removed awhile back not long after it was added. a hologram skull helmet was removed as well... would be nice to be able to get working vending machines in general, let alone as hangar items. which they really should be. Simpods at some point soon, too, hopefully.
That CIG reused the old hangar asset was either profoundly stupid, or more likely, cheap and lazy. Personal hangars should have been re-built from the ground up and made modular. That way sub assets like living space and freight elevators could be more easily changed or re-arranged. That they went this route really does not speak well for the state of development.
Unless they fixed it, I don't think you can get into a ship on the sideline and open the hangar without immediately getting impounded. Did they fix that? Am I missing something?
Is it possible for you to decorate the Aeroview hangar at New Babbage or Orison? It is way bigger on the outline of the shipPad and provides more space for vehicles and decorations. That would be awesome. Nice video!!
Was that first track by Quantic? Was giving me major Time Is The Enemy vibes which is one of my all-time favorite tunes, especially with the official YT video to it.
The problem is if I can't have a Cot in my hanger that I can logout and log back in from, then I will NEVER USE my Landing zone hanger. It makes no sense to pull all that out.
Shame about the subtitles. I saw a previous evocati leak that showed someone snapping a chair to a cargo grid in a ship. If thats possible in the live release a lot of ships are about to become really good at transporting large numbers of people. I cant wait to test it out on a Hull C and see if i can cover the arms in couches and chairs for my homies to sit on and be exposed to Quantum Travel directly 😂
I thought the whole point of instancing was that your hangar is technically separate from everything...? So, it shouldn't be causing lag outside because none of the objects are rendered by any other player

If you want to move items put the container in storage. Click the little corner of it to open it. Drag and drop all items you want in it. Then you can bring it out on the cargo elevator. This shit you did is crazy.....
Every time I buy furniture in game I lose it in the next updated patch. I also lost a Mule an an Andromeda. I can see why they give you 15m to play with now 😆
Mule?: front forks still don't work in 3.24? I had hoped that would be added, Sadly think it will take some work. Don't know why just replace forks with tractor?
They really need to have proper ‘habitation’ areas in the hangars where you can place furniture down like the cargo grid and it magnet locks in place, because right now the jank, agitation and jittering not only breaks immersion, but makes it impossible to meaningfully decorate. It’s also tedious as hell tractoring things all over the place with magic space lasers. Not the space game I for one am looking for as a mechanic when combined with the snoozefest of master modes.
Please do your research before making baseless comments....the hangars are instanced, the items are not rendered at all to anyone else and should give zero effect to the server as a whole. Once we get server meshing there will be even less of an impact

Agreed, I know CIG has in the past said selling cosmetics would be the primary rev stream for the game post a 1.0 release. So we'll see how things shake out. Hopefully, this will be the first step.
That is exactly the plan for the future. Just not yet since ships are still getting published and the development costs way more than only maintaining the service
Hmm thats a cool idea! Although selling ships feels like its set in tradition by now imo. I would love to spend a few small dollars here and there on decor items.
@@sirnukealot84 A tradition that’s ultimately bad for gameplay. There are tons of ways to transition away from selling ships and the need to be working towards these things. Ship skins up until very recently have been terribly mundane, they really missed a trick on that one for so long

Hangars are instanced. The only time these are loaded in for other players is when the doors open. For servers, probably yes, but to my understanding, it is using some new tech.

I heard on Twich that furniture/object placement was bugged , and placed furniture would end up scattered on the other side of the hangar ?

you can always put some 1/8SCU boxes with food items in them.

my hanger wont let me pull out more than one spawn?!?! everytime I try it only works if I store the vehicle I have out.

Persistent hangars are pretty useless. Even more if we need to reinstall everything after each new patchs.
