I fell in love with Jethro Tull in 1969 in high school. Own everything they ever put out. My all time favorite band. The old question, what single-band would you listen to on a deserted island? With no other music available. Would be Jethro Tull.
Loved this song since I first heard it. My old friend and I “discovered” them in high school in 1990, and started buying all of their albums. Spending every day after school in the local forest, Songs From The Wood was our hiking soundtrack, and we always brought a copy tape of that album with this song added. I spent way more time in those woods than I ever did on homework- and never regretted it. Time well spent.
I always love Jonathan Noyce's interpretation of Glenn Cornick's bass solo. It's my favourite version behind the original. This was such a fantastic line-up for Tull.
Fantastic rendition… I love hearing different versions of old favorites (who needs carbon copies?) Ian Anderson - the only original Tull member - has always surrounded himself with top-notch musicians… No exception here!
I have been going to Ian Anderson/Jethro Tull shows since 1977. I am still surprised when I see videos on UA-cam and realize about half-way; Wait a Minute I was at this show! When you have been to more than 100 Tull shows, it happens more often than you would think.
In Frankfurt Jahrhunderthalle live gesehen , ein unvergessenes Erlebnis ! Eine der besten Bands der Welt, Musik vom Feinsten, exquisit und Extraklasse !❤❤❤
If I remember rightly, Ian's patter around this time included the line "...and if old J.S. were here today, I'm quite certain that he'd leap up on stage and shake me - by the throat - for what I've done to his tune" 😁
I was nicknamed Tully at school back in the late 60's because my first ever record was" life is a long song" indeed it has been loved these guys saw them live when I was 8,9,10years old in Brum. UK nice one Tully.im now 63 And still love these tunes! godbless from blighty hurrah

Brilliant musician Jethro Tull and all the fabulous musicians put together for decades virtually all my lifetime to hear. Bravo ⚘

This Is Fantastic....Ian is a great Flute player...this is one of my favorite Tull songs....Ian and Company is one of the best bands ever 😊!!!!!
The band lineup I like the most. No one can imitate Martin Barre.

Amazing!
Ian is still an amazing talent. No other flutist can compare to him.

I wonder what Bach would think. I believe he would be flattered and impressed by this rendition

💙💙💙💙💙🎶💙💙💙My personal favorite !! Thank you for giving me such joy and pleasure through out nearly 50 years of my life.
Awesome👏👍
The second best performance of this song! :) Bourée from "a little light music" is something extra. I wish there were video from that one too...
You are right, the bass/guitar duet on that version is amazing
No one like them. Impeccable timing. Barr is so under rated, it is sickening. Tull is the greatest!! No matter the lineup.
Masterpiece

Um ótimo solo de baixo.
Leave it to the crazy creative English musicians to combine classical music, the flute, and progressive rock into one spectacular piece of music 🫶
The only song that Ian can still sing
That intro chatter was so Ian Anderson! Excellent. lol
Non ce la farò mai😂
fantastic version of Bach's bourrèe
J.S. Bach would love this version! Great tune from Stand Up album and very nice intro with Andrew Geddins, Martin Barre & Ian Anderson!
DInner's on you this time. Peace
Ho riascoltato il finale del trio n. 2 di Mendelssohn ed .. ecco cosa mi ricordava!
C'e una relazione musicale con il brano di Bach? Interessante. Devo "ricercare" il trio di Felix M.
Premium pipe-playing
5:28 sounds like miming.
He tricked us into listening to classical music. But it's a pleasant surprise.
I can see where Rod Burgundy drew his inspiration !
If I don't remember bad, it was buorre
